I just got off work and read the last few hours of postings so I have to say WAY TO GO JOE. After all this is your site. Yes I know that it also serves as a forum for you to feel the vibe of your fans and that criticism is accepted some times however it should ALWAYS be constructive and about the awesum music you put out, not petty personal issues which should be kept just that, personal not public a la chat forum. Lookin forward to the G3 releases and your next solo release. Hope to see you in concert during your next return to Canada. It'll probably be in Ontario or Quebec, maybe B.C. so I'll have to save moocho quid to travel the 1200+ miles but after seeing you in Toronto last Nov. it'll be well worth it. Well later all.

Just in case some may find my remarks slightly ambiguous they are intended for those who were criticising Joe not about Joe criticising Z. Smart. That's always cool.

Sammy Andrews I know what you mean. I live on the east coast of Canada and the only reason I caught the tail end of Joe last night is because i got off work at 12:30 a. m. my time. That's the way it goes I suppose.

hello Joe S., Museman it was a real treat to be able to see the G3 with Steve v. and Yngwie M.. Sorry not rubbing it in but definitely check out the DVD and CD releases. Should ease the pangs for a little.

Has anyone seen or heard Joe performing with Deep Purple in San Fran. on Feb. 11. He played through one of Steve Morse's Musicman guitars. He said they sounded great and monster through the 5150's. Check out the photos on DP's (not the porno dp) official site.

The Passion of THE Christ is sure to get people talking. Look at the last dozen or more posts and it gives some indication of what the movie has already done prior to its release. Probably because religion has played and plays such a large role in any societies norms/values/structures, regardless of which denomination one professes to adhere to, and since movies are a large portion of the entertainment many people involve themselves it is going to spur conversation from many different "groups". The purpose of Mel Gibson's may have been to be just that, initiate/facilitate/force conversation, or maybe a personal reflection of his beliefs. Who knows? That is known only to him and Him. In any case every person has their individual/unique perspective on these subjects and there could be much discussion on these intimate topics. Enough to keep me occupied till I die. It should be interesting how these events unfold surrounding the movie. 'Nuff aboot that.

Regarding the posts about the bickering between different people I agree grow up at times. If it's only sarcasm and joking then who cares, but since this is a forum on Joe's website we should try to at least show him a modicum of respect and discuss his AWESOME work, ability, gift and/or contribution some of the time. If we don't then why not chat on MSN or some other web based forum. We are obviously here BECAUSE of Joe Satriani so we should try to keep topics within the realm of his music or influences, contemporaries or related things.

Exactly, go or don't go.

Does anyone know how many songs are on Joe's new solo? Or what direction/feel he was kind of going for?

HeyJammi JonBoy I'm Craig Macdonald we met at Erin's house at a party. Anyway I seen the G3 in November with Cory K. It was awesome and Joe was saying he'll be starting a solo tour sometime hopefully in the summer and if not in October or so. He almost always play TO or Montreal and it's fairly cheap to fly. It cost me $520 to fly, eat and stay in a hotel downtown for 5 days and return. Anyway keep checking pollstar.com and his roads page they are right up to date on his tour dates.

Johnathan it was Erin Morrow and Cory Kennedy. Oh yeah you're doin' the CAF thing in Trenton. Fuck I'm stoopid. Anyway if you want to change your nick go to member preferences and you can do it there. And if she's easy enough to do again I'll probably stick it in er' ass. Or not.

Joe I hope you enjoyed yourself. I love Buddy Guy an Doubl Trouble Wspecially Steven Ray Vaughan's legacy tied into, forever, what you're doing. Joe S.. I'm handicapped, I have only 1 functioning hand because of a spinal cord injury since I was 18. I am 23 and have been trying to capture you're spirit as well as SRV's and I will thank you forever for you're emotional tremendous contribution to my life. If not for YOU and STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, STEVE VAI I don't know how I would have handled the curves life has thrown me. Thank you Stevie, Joe and Steve you ARE AN INSPIRATION for those of us who are less than fortunate to further the invaluable lessons, experience you have have gained over the years.

Jazzy Boy- Agreed (totally)

For anyone who is a Stevie Ray Vaughan fan check out the website www.srvrocks.com/mp3s.htm for live concerts and mp3s of the man. Some low quality, others good, changes every 2 weeks or so.

quito- Actually Rory Gallagher is an Irishman and the other two Oasis morons are English. Love Rory G., annoyed by the other two. Cheers

Joe- Thanks for droppin' in. Always a mega-pleasure. I just have to say that MXC is hilarious. I love it too. And your new album is antsily anticipated. Can't wait.

Mikanaro- I'm sorry to read how blind you are as well as deaf. Unfortunately appreciation for Joe's music and playing requires intelligence and a broad view and interest in guitar playing since he has such a master over the guitar. The subleties in his playing, and this is really my main point, are truely amazing and hopefully one day you'll regain you're sight, to see this and you hearing so you can hear this. I suggest a large supply of lubricant and a few close friends to help you get your head out of your ass in order for this to become a reality.
