Joe satriani, if you want to meet me and get my autograph or perhaps a picture, meet me in minneapolis when you arrive for the g3 tour. I will be at the venue. You need my autograph cause I am your biggest fan. I will be in my Marilyn Manson t shirt. Satanic Boogie

joe, whats starry night about? You played it on some tv station early in the morning somewhere in california with Galen Henson playing acoustic. How did you get that delay./ and what setup did you use? The Amplifier you used looked like some form of Ibanez..are they any good? What are they good for? Cause Ibanez amps are cheap, but i keep wondering if they sound good. Another question: what gauge strings do you use? Recently someone stuck d'addario 11's on my guitar and I really hated it. For playing fast solos, do you recommend using 9's or 11's? I hate using 11's, they are just too thick and I feel like I am playing a bass. You have some really cool guitars, the chrome, flames, etc etc. Do you buy those guitars or does Ibanez give them to you for their promotion? I am Management student, its part of my learning. When Steve Vai makes those lofty requests, like a 3 neck guitar, who pays for it? Does Ibanez make one for him just cause they are running a line of Steve's guitars for sale? Hey Joe, if you ever need to get rid of any guitars, you know where to send it too...Thanks. And come back to minnesota! ps: do you ever play universities?

Most people probably will not ask you this question and I myself, am embarrased. A lot of friends like to make music under the influence of drugs. They think its helps creativity and else. I dont understand the deal with people doing drugs and making music. It could be used for a little fun, but I dont get its relation with music. Did you ever do any sort of drugs in order to party hard or just make and play music? Just curious. I dont want your opinion on drugs (because most celebrities dont give theirs), just if you ever did them. Thanks!

Joe, some people say "play until your fingers bleed." I think that it is a very stupid way of asking kids to practice guitar. It might scare them, as it does to me. But the orgin of that saying had to bloom from somewhere. Did your fingers ever bleed? Thanks. ps: I spent this entire weekend watching Live in SF and sipping White Russians with my guitar. You have to play another gig here in Minnesota! SOON!

what do you guys think of guitarists playing their guitar with their mouth? Vai, Malmsteen and Wylde do those annoying cliches on stage but badass Joe stays away from those cheap tricks. However, all the guitarists mentioned above are extraordinary.

Some of Joe's old stuff have a very southern rock influence, like summer song, motorcycle driver, etc.....Which other songs of his do you think fit in this category?

Just came back from seeing Type O negative and Cradle of Filth. Cradle of Filth was simply unbelieveable. They has cool props on stage. Devils, acrobatic gothic girls, etc.... And yes, the goth girls were simply just beautiful.........

to whomever it is, I am frustrated with myself, my guitar, my strings and guitar techs charging too much to fix little things. Earlier this month, I installed Emg 81 and 85 on the bridge and neck respectively. The tech inslalled 11's on my guitar and charged me. Then a week back I wanted to install .009's and I just could not get the d%^& thing in tune. So I took it back to him and he wants to rewire my guitar so that it accomodates the .009's. Is that crap or is he genuine? and he is charging me even more to rewire the guitar. But before this happened, my guitar had lost all potential for any distortion. I plugged in my boss Metal Zone and all I got was a beatles like distortion... very thin, no sustain and just plain s$%^ ! So I dont know what to do. Joe's lucky to have his own guitar tech do it for him. And btw Joe, I met you in Minnesota outside your bus and made you sign my college ID. It;s faded and you have sign it again. Cheers!

Joe! You finally posted a message! Good work. Hey, when you mix the DVD's, make sure you have some footage from every concert. I do know that you had the previous G3 from minneapolis, so that was awesome. And, have you heard of Carmine D'amico? And have you ever travelled across south asia? Tell us more about you trips outside the US. Would like to hear it.

To Jameel Sharif First of all, keep this website clean. We dont need your swearing or your 'george carlin' quotes. Joe for president??? Are you saying all this simply to gain attention and people using your 'name' in their message posts? You know, this is one of the only websites I respect and love coming here. So please, keep the air around here pure. Joe is entitled to his opinions about the president and war (which I am against of with full throttle). So, play your guitar and kick some ass! - Mantra

To Joe and everyone, I recently pirchased a Fender Deluxe amplifier. I love but I dont really understand what "middle" means and what presence means. I hate adjusting the middle because it always destroys a good sound I am enjoying. What is a recommended equaliser position for most of you? I usually crank up the bass because it adds more punch to the sound. Please guide me.

I just saw the pictures for the covers of the G3 bangin dvd and cd. I agree with someone here who said that the album covers are unremarkable, unprofessional and simply, flat out normal. This was the best tour that took place this year, and not seeing a grand music cover is very dissappointing.
