Hmmm...this is odd to say the least. We need threads, like the Petrucci or Portnoy forums. This thing is so close to being sweet. In any case, only 12 more days!

SWEET...Just heard "The Journey" in its entirety on XM. Great song man! By the way, XM fricking kicks ass. Absolutely brilliant. I just installed everything in my car Tuesday and I've heard "If" and now "The Journey" from Joe, plus countless tracks from Steve Morse, Dixie Dregs, John Scofield, Jimi Hendrix, Trey Anastasio, Phish, Rush, Alex Skolnick, Pat Martino, ELP, Joe Walsh, SRV, Adrian Belew, plus some solid stand-up comedy from guys like Chris Rock, Jeff Foxworthy, etc. I've also been listening a lot to this station they call "Beyond Jazz." Lots of non-traditional jazz stuff on there, it rocks. I've heard Joe's stuff on the "Progressive Fusion" channel, which is completely commercial-free. There are occasionally commercials, I've heard about 5 in 5 hours of listening, but that's pretty damn good. I love it...I only wish I had gotten a receiver for my home too...I'm dying to go on a long trip just to listen to this thing. WELL worth the $9.99 a month.

MASTER YODA - TVRs are pretty f-ing sweet. Not too popular here in the states unfortunately though.

Nice poster of Joe in the new (?, the yellow one) issue of Guitar magazine...

Why aren't we allowed to say negative things about EOC? Who cares? People don't like it, some completely hate it. No reason why they can't post the way they actually feel about something, while we fill the site with "Joe rules!" comments. As long as it's somewhat intelligent and not "EOC sucks man!!," I see no problem. What is considered to be Joe's best or worst is your own opinion, not someone else's. If you hate EOC, say so. If you dig it, say so.

Took me a New Millenium to reach page 109...this will probably be my last post here, until this gets a bit easier to read.

Anyway, just wanted to say that XM kicks ass. Literally, you hear Joe as much as you would hear Creed/Britney Spears/other pop stuff on normal radio. So if you dig good music, get it.

I heard Joe played "Midnight" and "Headless Horsemen" the other day in Europe, during the intermission. Also did a lot of jamming. This tour should be sweet.

See you September 12th in Boston Joe!!

All right, I know I said I wouldn't post again, but this is too damn cool not to mention...

I have XM Satellite radio...they have this sweet state-of-the-art performance studio at their HQ in DC. Anyway, I heard today that they're trying to get Satch to do a live show there, which will be broadcasted live. Some time in September I think the guy said.

Also, every Friday night at 10PM on XM41, they have "Shredders," a 1/2 hour of shredding by all kinds of guys. So, yeah...If you have XM, tune into this stuff...later all..

What a fucking jackass. Nothing chaps my ass more than drunk drivers and thieves. You know, a good percentage of us out there work our asses off so we can buy musical equipment, cars, houses, whatever. Then, some guy who's too lazy to get a job takes it away. In this case, whoever stole it is just a dumbass...that guitar is worth nothing since it's stolen.

Don't worry Joe...at the Boston show, Evbro, Naso, satch3d (?), and I have your back. :-)

It's like every year, Joe loses to a band that sucks more than the band he lost to the year before. The Flaming Lips were dead by 1995, then the sudden garage-band revolution comes along and they're popular again.

At least Pat Metheny and Herbie Hancock made the winner's list.

Yeah, I was glad about BB King too...the other nominees in that category were really awful. BB rules. Norah Jones is good too...she's talented at least, unlike most winners.

Also, I just saw, The Dave Holland Big Band won an award too...I saw thim in October 2002 and they were smokin'...GREAT drummer. Good to see the Boss and Coldplay win a couple awards too. I guess I'm not too pissed off about the show. At least there were no Britneys or NYSNCs.

CLARKY - Hey man! I've been posting pretty rarely on all the music forums, especially this one, since I don't really like the way it's set up. I prefer the 1998 version of this page, back when there were about 100 fans online and Joe would answer almost every day, haha. Plus, you could scroll down and see everything...now I have to click links to read everything. Oh well...I'm back, I'll deal with it.

I've been spending most of my time on www.clubb5.com, which is an automotive forum for VW Passat owners.

How's work on the CD going? Make sure you let me know when it's available.

CLARKY - Awesome...how do I get in touch with PRMAN? Make sure you post pics of the new machine...

The "unreleased" track of Clarky's that I have is RIDICULOUS. You all have to get a hold of his album when it comes out. Heavy grooves and mad shredding.

I can't stand John Mayer. For some real acoustic guitar rock, check out Monte Montgomery. He's another Austin, TX virtuoso with a great voice.

JOE - I gave the new CD a spin last night and it's great. Strongest effort since Crystal Planet, which says a lot since EOC and SBM are awesome albums. I like how the 7-string is becoming more integrated. I think the 7-string usage on SBM is good, but it's not as refined as it is on this one. It's not just the simple heavy-as-hell chords from Mind Storm.

The production is great and the overall sound quality is probably the best ever on a Satch CD. Plus, I got a free autograph to add to the collection, so that's sweet.

Good to see that there are still idiots in here warring about post counts and other trivial matters. Where's VBIL when you need him? ;)

I still don't understand why people aren't allowed to dislike a Joe Satriani album. Obviously, he didn't write a review in the best way possible, but the dude's from Argentina and I'm sure his English is better than my Spanish. In the end though, who cares? What someone says about an album has no effect on what I think of it. If you think people are flaming this CD, you obviously weren't on this board when EOC was released.

There are plenty of people out there who are looking for the next Surfing or the next Extremist, but it isn't coming. Personally, I'm open to artists changing styles and bringing a new vibe to a record, but many people aren't (see data on Creed CD sales for proof of this point). What we have to say about the new CD won't be changing their opinion, especially if we dismiss them as stupid bastards who know nothing about music. Knowledge about what music is good and what music is awful comes only from personal preference, not your knowledge of scales and chords. I can argue all I want that Celine Dion has found a way to simultaneously suck and blow, but people still love her music.

And now, one of my favorite quotes: "Certain radio programmers in America are always wondering why we just won't write the next "Plush" or the next "Interstate Love Song." Y'know what? I got no fuckin' interest! If you wanna hear "Plush" and "Interstate Love Song," go by a God damned Creed record! That's what they're trying to sound like." - Scott Weiland, Stone Temple Pilots

Webcast is sick...especially with QT7. The quality is amazing for a webcast, both audio and visual.

So I come back after a few years and see Pete Mulas has a disc out. What about Clarky's Avarice shreds? Are they out yet? Drop me a line dudes: mth619@yahoo.com.

I just received a Fulltone Ultimate Octave in the mail today. #1044 ever built and signed by Mike Fuller...amazing tones. Now I just need to learn some Satch/Hendrix songs to utilize it.

BEST G3 lineup of all time. PLEASE come to the East Coast. If not, looks like I need a ticket to CA :)

I've never been so excited for a concert. My #1, 2, and 3 guitarists all in concert. ROCK.
