Just want to say hi to everyone, this is my first time posting a message & Satch if you read this- thanks for all the cool music ( some of your least "bluesey" songs have performed the same function as the dirtiest muddy waters track! ) P.S. No G3 dates for Ireland ?! Nooooooooo! I seen the last gig of the strange beautiful music tour in Dublin (I think it was the last gig of the tour). It was the first time i had ever heard Joe Satriani ( I bought the tickets on reputation alone ) needless to say.......

I'd love to see Gary Moore and Satriani play together, but I couldn't imagine him in a G3 senario. Moore is more than capable of a beautiful instrumental - Has anyone heard "Once in a blue moon"? (it was a bonus track on the remaster of the after hours album) PS Advice for any prospective Gary Moore fans out there: Ignore the monsters of rock album & DVD - Moore is WAY better than that (in terms of vocals, tone, chops.......everything!) PPS If anyone is considering getting a Les Paul, the Gary Moore signature is as good as a '59 reissue and much sexier looking!

CIVGEEK: The DVD was recorded a few days before Gary Moore injured his hand (slipped in the bath!), I was in the queue for his gig with whitesnake in Dublin when it was announced he wasn't going to be playing. The only other live footage of Moore I've seen is the "Live Blues" video and man, it is AMAZING!!! At monsters of rock he was playing with bass and drums, in the live blues video he is playing with hammond organ, horns, backing vocals, the whole nine yards -- so I guess that could colour my judgement, but even after taking this into account......it just wasn't that good. However, on the interview on the DVD he mentioned that the band had very little rehersals. I just dont want anyone to get the wrong impression of Moore, he may not have the chops like Vai/Malmsteen but the only other guitarist I've seen play with such passion and intensity was Jimi ( I'm not exaggerating by the way! )

EVERYONE ELSE: Does anyone know if there will be a european tour for ITLIS? Playong locations that weren't covered by G3?
