Almost Amateur, Im not sure how expensive your guitar is but if you don't mind whackin' it a bit I have a few whammy tips that might help you sound more like SATCH... First you can try pullin up on the whammy bar instead of pushin' down all the time.........this souds kinda weird but it's cool,very Steve Vai..Also you can try hittin' the whammy with harmonics..try playin' a solid harmonic and then doing some whammy action on that harmonic, make a steady rythm with the whammy kinda' like a manual wah wah.like this hit the harmonic, let it ring for a sec, then strike the whammy bar, push it once rapidly then let it go, wait a sec then repeat the same action, do this until you lose sustain on your harmonic.Also my fave exercise for the whammy bar is to take some old strings put them on your guitar if they are not already on, then tighten them as tight as they go without breakin', then sit back on your sofa watch some t.v. and keep pumpin' the whammy with your right hand until the strings break.......It's like jackin' off your whammy bar,keep on tightening up the strings as they loosen...this can get hard on the hand and arm but the pain eventually goes, and so does the need to practice.thanks..peace.

Hey Joey Satch, did Jimi Hendrix really inspire you to play like you do.....If so that probably makes you the first guitarist to ever explore cool music and mix it with control and thought, Jimi didn't do that stuff. I know when I started to play I automatically started deep concentration on the whole guitar format, but I had you to listen to, you didn't have that. Congradulations Joe your truly intuitive........or whatever!

I always found tape recorders cool for playin' backing tracks, but mabey thats because Im on welfare! Hey Joe what's up when is the new improvisational album gonna come out? I'll buy it or borrow it and then burn it on to CD-R, hey wait thats illegal right, oh well, welcome to the year 2005, at least you got tunes worth stealin Joe, and say what ya want I still hate new music and marshmellows, I'd rather listen to Mozart and drink piss! And go ahead and pay no attention to this post because it appears as though Im an angry drunk asshole who has a masturbation problem, because Im actually related to Donald Trump and Im doing it with Betty Crocker. No disrespect Joey, I truly am most inspired by you, but I am what I am and I am what I am. Peace,Love,Dope...

Hey Joe, what is your take on people's critique of your style of guitar? Im not sure if all guitar fans could tell any difference between what you do and what a guitarist who has been playing bar chords for 2 years does, it probably sounds the same to most people? Do you really feel content about the majority of people's opinion's of what you do on the guitar? Why do you feel the need to play as a virtuoso, when you could probably have an even "bigger & better" place in the music industry playing below average stuff?

Hey Joe, I have noticed that you have a huge interest in The Silver Surfer, Back To Shalla-Bal, was no doubt inspired by the comics, and of course the art work for the Surfing With The Alien record. Do you feel a connection between the myth of the super-hero and yourself as a guitar virtuoso? Would you consider playing the surfer in a major motion picture? lol! Thanks!

Joe, is the new record Super Colossal inspired in any way by comic book characters, possibly from Silver Surfer? Are Colossals not a barbaric breed of alien guitarists, with Super Colossals being even more deadly with the guitar than their colossal cousins? Catch you later dude!

Hey Joe,

do you have any advice to give a struggling musician you have inspired? Professional music appears to be so incredibly out of sync with reality yet you as a professional stay true in creating real music! In a world where few get noticed what would you say to a lonely guitarist destined to play on?

Thanks Joe :}

Hey Joe are any of your guitars with artwork on them inspired by you or even done by you. Basically did you airbrush/paint any of your guitars yourself or did you have someone do it for you based on your sketches? I have wondered this for awile since that guitar you used on flying in a blue dream, recently you released those sketches you did on those planet waves straps and the art looks the same style as your guitars, so whats the catch you must of had something to do with those cools axes u have, why have i not heard you mention it though?

Thanks man!
