Do The Stu Thanks thats reall helpful, all noted :-)...I found out I have another media assignment now, I have to do an investigation into two types of media that are bias or express politcal views in an angry way...so I'm comparing Rage against the machine to Marvel Comics lol...I was told it was a good choice by my other media teacher so I'm glad someone agrees with me for once lol.
espguitarlord Ah thats a good one, thanks for that :-).
After the G3 concert theres some stupid ass thing goin on, we have to go Birmingham University and stay over night in the halls of residence...why you ask? Because 1 night in a University is going to teach us aaaaaaaaaaall about life at University.
Plus theres a compulsary soccer tournament...why the heck do they even think that everyone would even consider it...its not like everyone is the same...I wanna play my guitar during the Summer, nearly everyday I have improving to do, I dont wanna be wasting my time playing a sport I dont like at a place Im not going to.
*Rant Over*
Well I feel better for that :-)

I've just been reading Fripp's online diary, he seems like a really nice guy and my favourite quote is:
"The maxim here is: when the audience boo, go for the bass end.
Can't wait now 8 DAYS TO GO!!!...Hopefully I get to the merchandise stand before they sell out of "Shove Aside The Sun"

Oh yeah...I recommend John Petrucci's "Rock Discipline" book to anyone...it has some really excellent stuff in there, the warm ups are tricky...but thats the point.
And I'm rather good at sweep picking now, and before I did some of the excercises I couldnt do the legato bit in "The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing" properly, now I can do it, not upto speed ofcourse...But I'm getting there.

962 Yeah people on bikes seem a lot more vulnerable, I'm asking because my dad bought another motorbike and I could either get a license to ride the bikes or get a license for a car. The insurance for a car however will be an ass load, a big ass load...Lisa Reilly's ass load.
I think my first car will be something like a Vauxhall Tigra...cos they are small and quite cheap...and most come with CD players...which is all that matters.
I wanna get a reaction when going thru like council estates where everyone generally drives with drum and bass music so loud in their cars the suspension starts-a-bouncin'...but I will be playing something like "Raspberry Jam Delta-V"...I'll probably get shot or something but it'll be funny upto that point.
What does the Feroce drive like on Pg2? I loved it on the original Project Gotham, such good control.

962 Ah right, Oh well still a nice car in my opinion :-).
Today I went to a BBQ at my grandads house, and my cousin was there, she is about 13 methinks and she had her friend with her and there was an abundance of whispering and giggling in my presence....I hate giggly little girls, they annoy the piss out of me...
I just thought I'd share that.
Anywayz 6 days till G3 and I cannot wait any longer...its goiing to be so cool, its just a shame the night after the guys are playing at another venue, if they had a day off in between then maybe they could stick around longer on the night...ah well.

Muse Man Maaaan, I couldnt tell from the map on the site, so I checked the post code...the area in its in Nechells...by far the roughest area in Birmingham. My parents used to live there and they only lived there for 2 weeks before they moved out, but in that time they witnessed a shooting, a variety of stabbings, and countless amounts of street fights that ended in coma's....needless to say I won't be going.
If you can drive then I'd go for it, if your walking...well my opinion on walking through Nechells is clear...

lol Jazzy Boy I do not share Dolphin Pie...its just not in my nature :-)
I s'pose I could go if I got a ride there...I'm not too worried about meeting Joe, as cool as that would be. I'm really looking forward the show, its my first big concert type thing and featuring my favourite musician.
I think I'll get a ride down about an hour before the doors open at the meet and greet...hopefully its not that big a turn a out so I can get some stuff signed etc..

Taaaaaaaaastey I'll "borrow" my sisters digital camera sometime this week and get some pictures of them asleep in interesting positions.
I'll give you the names and the easiest way to identify them:
Ollie: Best cat ever...blubbery and fat, always got a grumpy look on her face.
FeeBee: Small with stupidly tiny feet, and a constant scared expression.
Rolo: He has a fat head.
Cleo: Bright blue eyes, constantly falling over, not very clever at all.
Pictures coming soon...

Whooo Summer song, at 7:47am....
In other news, my walkman broke and I am too broke to buy an MP3 player...which brings me onto my next item of news
(DUN DUN DUN DUM DUN DUN or similar news noises)
I had a dream last night where some old lady I had apparently just robbed gave me 39p and told me to put it in the bank, and then when I got back to the present day I would have £39,000...however I thought I would cheat and put all the change in my pocket into the bank...something like £4.10...either way I woke up before I could get back to the future and buy my 7-string and my amps and my car...
Thats all for now, we'l be back at 3:35pm

Zinc Duuuude that sucks you can't go..., but hey theres always next year, right? :-)
I'm still struggling to come up with some good melodies for the 3 songs I want to write...
I really want to work on music over the summer as well as get a job and do my side project as well...I am gonna be tired all summer methinks lol.
Anywayz I think I am going to think as each track as a story, with equilibrium-disequilibrium-equilibrium to it, aka Todorov's Theory. (for people who don't understand that, and I didnt at first. Its the act of having a story, then something goes wrong...my best example is "Deep Impact", the world is perfect - comet threatens alll life on earth - comet gets blown up and everyone is happy as larry).
I need to really think about this before I go to sleep, thats when I think best musically, thats where I was when modes finally clicked in my head, and its where I was when I was working out the last thing Master Yoda taught me lol.
Not long now, only 4 days till G3, and 1 day to find out whether I have won backstage passes or not...wish me luck, but I doubt I have :-).
My 7-string is looking further and further away :-(...My parents want me to save my money for university, and so far I have less than £100. I have applied to nearly 40 jobs and I either get no reply or I get a reply saying that I'm not what they are looking for...being 17 sucks I need a job, I need money and I need to go to University to find band mates...oh and study stuff too :-P.
I would ask my parents for the guitar for christmas, but it seems a bit much, a £700 guitar, plus the money they are putting forwards for University for me...I think I'll just ask for money for christmas and put it towards University, I can't think of anything else that I want other than an Ibanez 7-string and an amp worthy of live performance.
But they can wait I guess.

I figure if I'm going to look for a 7-string I'm going to look at the older ones rather than the RG1527...
However I can't find a price on an RG7640 or an RG7420...so could anyone tell me the prices of these guitars and which they recommend? please
Thanx
