Lyrics of the day:
Beer, wine and whiskey I'm feeling kinda' friskey, I think I'm gonna find myself a dirty bit of skirt, a braisen little hussie who says she isn't fussy, who takes it up the sh*tter and says it doesn't hurt
Pure genius...country music at its best lol

*Pissed off beyond belief*
Today I had to remind my media teacher about what I was doing for my independent study...which ofcourse is G3 2003 and 2004 and how the audience differs slightly depending on the "3rd G"...Upon explaining this I got the same perplexed look as last time, she then asked what the type of music was, and I said predominantly instrumental rock. I got an even wierder look, the my other media teacher enters the room and looks round and asks what everyone is doing, she asks me and I have to say "G3 Tour" like 9 times before she hears me, then she asks me what it is, so I explain...I get a perplexed look and she says what genre of music is it? to which I reply instrumental rock...and she says to my other teacher "Do you want to mark Martin's? Its about instrumental rock? I don't really fancy it" or something to that nature in a tone that sounded like it was the worlds most boring genre of music...then they had a little discussion about me, and my choice then decided one of them was going to mark my work, and the other was going to mark my friends work (who is doing about a punk bands album).
But the fact that they are media teachers, and that they are suppose to be open to different views and preferences, I felt very judged. I doubt either of them have heard of Satriani, Vai, or Malmsteen, they may have heard of Robert Fripp, but only from the days of KC I'm guessing. I feel so annoyed by this right now...what a cheap shot to insult my taste in music and talk about the content of my work in a derogetory way in front of a class of my own friends and even other teachers who were working at computers at the time.
*Rant Over*
Well that really got to me, I know its something quite stupid to be annoyed about but still.
Anywayz, I didn't win the backstage passes for the 26th, but I'm sure its going to be an excellent night full of creative influences that will hopefully inspire me to be on stage one day :-).
Right well anyway I'm off to play Halo for a while.

DCK..."the trots", "the squits", "runny buns", "liquid poop" or whateva ya wanna call it is always a good excuse not to go too work, and an excellent reason to stay seated on the home throne and read a good book...like "penthouse".

OMG THAT WAS THE MOST AWESOME NIGHT OF MY LIFE!!!
Ok, the night started with my getting a lift with my best friend to the NIA. We got inside, asked the steward where to get our *sniffs and rubs nose* backstage passes from...so he told us and as we were going by to get them, we noticed a little thing called a merch stand, so we went over because I wanted Weiner's album before it sold out, I got that and a Joe Satriani t-shirt.
We got the pass (they didnt ask me for ID), sat down and waited. Fripp came on, about half way through what sounded to be a "second piece" people started shouting "come on steve" and "get off you fat bastard"...so my friend shouted "hey shut up you asshole" and no one said shit after that :-).
Vai came on, amazed us, deafened us, and gave me and my friend two chances to get a pick from him...he threw one, it bounced off my friend's shoulder and into the lap of the guy in the row in front...the second opportunity he threw one and it bounced off my friend and two 30 year old guys started fighting over it...and neither of them got it, a teenage boy got it lol.
Then there was intermisson but thats besides the point, then good ol Joe came on and amazed us all, and even went off on an improvisation while playing "Searching" but thats cool. The Jam was amazing, Fripp was kicking ass and leaving no survivors, Vai looked like he had a cold, and had to wipe his nose a few times.
Best show I have seen ever...
Moving onto the backstage thing, me and my friend waited for a while, then Steve came in, straight away we went to Dave Weiner and I got my CD and my ticket signed, and I got a photo with him. Then we went to Joe, and I got my CD, t-shirt, ticket and I got a picture with him, then we went over to Billy Sheehan and spoke to him for a while about bass playing and such, got a picture, and got him to sign my ticket, then I got over to Vai...who blatently wasn't feeling too good by this point, so I got him to sign my copy of 7th song, my ticket and got a picture with him. I wanted to get my ticket signed by Fripp but he didn't come out, which was a damn shame. I got Galen to sign my ticket and also Jeff, I didnt see Matt around, and I really wanted to get Tony McAlpine to sign my ticket but he left like after 5 minutes.
more to come...

I spoke to Joe about who he had planned for upcoming G3's and he said it was top secret information lol, I spent most of my time talking to Dave Weiner and Joe. Weiner is a really cool guy, he said that when I get some stuff recorded to send him a copy.
Vai was pretty busy through the whole meet and greet thing, signing guitars, signing guitars that people had accidentally smudged the signature on lol,
Sheehan's entrance to the backstage thing was quite funny, he opened the doors to our left, grabbed two women (that he obviously knew) and "abducted" them.
The sound was amazing, technicians did themselves proud
:-) I'm kind of annoyed though, Vai called the audience forwards to "whammy it up" as I would put it, and no one moved...I only found out that was what he wanted to do when one of the steward people told me lol.
Anyway great show guys and I'll definitly be seeing you next time.
Only thing that spoiled it was the assholes in the crowd.

Michelle It was really cool there, and I got to speak to Joe, and Steve. But I got to speak to Joe more, Steve had to keep drifting if he was going to see everyone.
My friend get some pictures of me and Joe, me and Steve, me and Dave Weiner, me and Jeff (I think), me and Billy Sheehan and I think that was it, I'll get him to send them too me, and I'll post them :-)
Anywayz I'll be back later
