There's a "band night" in February, my friend really seems to want me to play there and get live experience, and I am already getting nervous about it lol...I want to play "Welcome To Bucketheadland", "Another Day" and in between those I'll probly play either "Hog Bitch Stomp" (if I can get it learnt in time) or "Big Sur Moon"...any tips on how to deal with a live audience containing people I know?
It'll be my first live experience...and frankly I am shitting myself about it already lol.

Well today I have to "transform" much ado about nothing into a short story written in the style of another writer...so I've chosen to do it in the style of Thomas Harris (The Silence Of The Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon..etc)...I can't remember the word limit though on this so I'm going to write it upto 1500 words and if it needs lengthening then I can add sections that I previously took out :-)
Word limits stifle creativity in my opinion...

962...to be honest nope I never noticed lol, sorry man my ears are deaf to nearly everything that is musical, all I hear is the music on the whole...I think thats my let down, I think I am completely hopeless when it comes to think like guessing which notes are which by how they sound, same with chords lol...

I didn't finish my text-transformation of "Much Ado About Nothing"...for the simple reason that its a first draft, my english teacher has given us very little guidance and I don't want to waste my time finishing it if its wrong, I've done 1200 words out of 3000 and would like to know whether what I have got so far is right.
Parents evening tomorrow...time to get praised and unleash some witty retorts on unsuspecting teachers who have a high opinion of themselves...

Optical Studio Hey cheers man :-) made my day, at the moment I'm really into visiting peoples websites and listening to their music, some really talented people on this site, you're one fo them...its amazing how many people aren't millionaires by now with the music they write, its incredible...I was suppose to as a dude if he wanted to be my drummer today...I completely forgot though lol...

Definitly, some of the things I have seen are definitly things that I would of preferred not to see in a lifetime, most of it just reflecting the bad-side of human nature. But its becoming a common re-occurance around here (Birmingham, UK) so I think people young people are going to witness things that aren't suppose and maybe even get involved.

Hmm I keep getting so many influences lately from films and games and I really need to get my old pc up and running so I can get them recorded. Maybe after christmas I can get myself together and try to record some ideas.
I've got one Halo 2 inspired idea, about 3 Fable inspired ideas and a whacky idea inspired by Garfield the movie...
Not to mention some of my ideas that just came to me during the night...like techno-country.
Anywayz...just thinkin' aloud.

Phew...I just returned from Way-als (wales to everyone else) and looking at newport university...
It was good...but unless you have a keen interest in fields, rivers and sheep then its in a pretty dead area.

mowlie I'm looking to do computer games design...at the moment I'm really really into playing computer games, I keep getting a lot of musical inspiration from them.
Course-wise, Staffordshire seem to be the best. Teeside were ok for the course, but they phoned me the other day saying if I wanted to be accepted I would have to change my course to "new media" because I don't have an art portfolio...so I said.."erm ok...."
Fingers crossed staffordshire will contact me within the week. :-)

ooo just remembered my colleges' christmas party is on tonight...I don't think I'll get drunk tonight, I made an ass out of myself last year by holding conversations with people I don't even know and telling them that they suck hehehe.
Ah well atleast I didn't dance...dancing ain't my "thing"...I prefer to be "the guy that stands at the bar with a pint even though he's blatently under-age, talking to the girlies".
Anywayz, I got my old pc back and I'm recording my techno-country song as we speak, working on getting better tone and also working more on the backing track so it doesn't sound like a backbeat that I'm just playing over.

well i'm back as arnold swarnexhere';rlkg;emrg;er once said, and I wouldn't say I was pissed but I'm verging on it. Hugged some hot girls, sang some christmassy songs, got asked by someone guy I didn't even know to shred as he had "heard stuff" about me...(later he was lap-dancing)...ate nothing, pissed 4th-wards, and had a thororughly good time.
962 I hugged some obscure people this time as well, although this time they did not suck. They rocked, one guy was sober as hell and I still asked him if he was alright. However one guy was mixing drinks and looked pretty shitty. I made it my duty as a drunken chum to keep checking up on him, can' t have him throwing up over the dance floor with all the hot girls on it.:-)
There was a band, they played 2-3 songs and buggered off, but still they were pretty good, the guitarist was kick ass and really to me at this moment in time thats all that matters.

Optical Studio Hey thanx man I'm hoping to get into the computer games industry and get a career as a modeller/animator and have some fun doing what I love.
lol at the party I went to last night a guy came upto me and said "you're gonna have to shred for me sometime man, I've heard about you..."
Made my night lol..
I would've chose to do music at university, but at the moment I'm just enjoying what I'm capable of and exploring on my own, although a musical education is the best way to go without a shadow of a doubt lol...ah well. :-)

I think my desk chair is on its way out, everytime I sit in it the back slowly slides backwards even though the nut on the bottom is tightened as tight as it can go...my spine is hurting loads lol...
I'll rob my sisters chair in a minute seeing as she never uses it. :-P

Michelle Good idea about the memorial fund, I've got my sister (who works as a reviewer for a website) to put the link on one of the pages...hopefully it gets noticed.
Its terrible that this should happen, but its made even worse by the fact that Christmas is a time when families are together and many will be missing members who were lost for no reason.
I just helped my sister review "Somebody Told Me" by the Killers...well when I say 'helped' I mean I did it for her because she was too lazy. Anyway I was pretty harsh but the way I see it is that the song is one of those songs that you'll get bored of easily because its being over-played and because it lacks anything special, thus going in one ear and out the proverbial other.
Maybe I was too harsh....Nah.

Optical Studio I've been into game design for years, however not the programming side, my brain is advanced enough to tackle that stuff :-)...I'm into the 3D design stuff, the 3D modelling and the animation of characters and particle systems and stuff lol.
Although I recently watched "the making of halo 2" dvd from my special edition version of the game and it was very inspirational...
Hopefully I can get some music in there too :-)

Jazzzzzzzy I think I remember seeing a KISS coffin in Gene's house when it was on Cribs aaages ago. It looked sweet, it was the highlight of what looked like a KISS memorabilia room.

I think I am definitly the worst person ever at wrapping christmas presents lol...Wrapping paper is the least co-operative of any paper ever...and the sellotape...don't get me started on that, ya' go to stick something down and it won't get off your fingers or it curls up and sticks to itself...
Jack Osbourne's idea of using tin-foil is genius, however I have none in the house.
Ah well they're all wrapped up now, time for some Halo 2 until I find out I have some coursework to do for my English Language and Literature class lol.
