Al Joe has gotten himself a 6-pack of pneumonia :-(

How you doin' man? Long time no...talk...to...yeah

Optical Studio Thanx :-), I was lying in bed last night, with my guitar on my lap watching a comedian called Peter Kay on DVD while trying to string together some verse parts for my song whilst trying to keep the overall feel of the song.

I'll keep ya' updated. :-)

lleyton The reason why Joe puts his right hand further up the neck and hammers with the left is to 'dampen' the strings so that when Joe hammers with the left, it makes a much cleaner sound :-) hope that helps.
[Edit:...yeah what Al said :-)]
Al Yeah I'm making the most of my time too, at the moment I'm just seeing whats on TV and as usual...nothing worth watching until like 1:40am when theres 3 episodes of 'Oz' on lol.

I've got 6 days till I go back to college, and I've got 70+ pages of a website to storyboard, and a piece of english coursework to do, for which I have to transform "much ado about nothing" into the style of another writer. I did want to do it in the style of Thomas Harris...but its unbelievably hard to point out linguistic features of his work...so instead of transforming it into a short story, I'm going to transform it into a TV script for a fly on the wall documentary...in the style of Peter Kay :-)

Well that was a lot of words for one post at this hour.

Take care

OCPS470 the phrase "the dogs bollocks" aka "the muttz nutz" is simply saying that something is the best that it can be.

A universal term for "the dogs bollocks" would be "the bees proverbial knees."

Hope that clears that up for ya' :-)

Steven Wilde Its 5am right now and I haven't been to bed yet, but when I wake up sometime tomorrow I have allocated a time to listen to your music again, it feels like I haven't for so long. Anywayz, take care of ya'self buddy and don't stay up as late as I have....I'm gonna' pay the price for going to bed this late lol...but I think I can afford it.

lol Al I went to bed not long after I posted,...however my dad started doing something that sounded like cutting wood in the room below mine so I'm up already...which is handy though because I have a letter to post and I would've forgotten otherwise.

Clarky lol ya' never know, if at some point you get to give Joe a copy of SHREDZ then maybe he'll think

"Gosh darn thats some pretty impressive shizzle!...Where's he from? Ah London, perfect, if I recall thats in Europe, I smell a European tour coming on and I also smell someone to put on that tour...."

Then he'll go make himself a peanut butter sandwich (crunchy not smooth...after all he is the extremist) and have himself a beer...(most likely Bud...not Bud Light)

And thats what my crystal ball is telling me.

take care lol

I've decided that when I've finished my english coursework for my TV script transformation of "Much ado" i will post it on the internet for you all to read.

Its' written in a 'Northern' dialogue so those who are english will probably be at an advantage when reading it lol.

I've got some original phrases that I thought of in there that add to the comedy methinks, I've got plenty more to come as well...but here's a little taster...and I'll probably get this printer onto a t-shirt before I go to uni.

"Don't judge a book by her mother"

anywayz take care

Clarky *rubs chin*...I see...Here comes the conundrum...do I spend my money on tickets to see Vai in 2005...or do I spend it on recording equipment...btw how much will your album be when its completed, so I can set that amount of money aside so I can buy it instantly lol

Steven Wilde Hey man, this backing track is turning out pretty good, although theres probably room for improvement, I'll try to get it done for tonight, I doubt that I'll get any leads into it as they come out pretty rubbish with my current recording stuff lol However I may put in some rhythm parts...in drop C tuning :-)

Steven Wilde I've finished and uploaded my new song, its called "The Night Museum" and was more of a concentration on the backing track rather than the guitar, but there is a tiny-weeny-baby bit of guitar in there lol.

Hope you like it.

Steven Wilde :-D thanks a lot, made my new years eve terrific :-)..(i usually hate new years). The backing track was easier than I thought it would be, the drums are what I usually have problems with but I sort of stumbled across a what I would refer to as a 'good' rhythm and kept to that. The guitar was the simplest of all lol

|***********P.M**********|
Low C-5-5-5-5-2------------------

Followed by:

|**P.M****|[Pinch harmonic on the '2']
G -5-5-5-5-2---------------------

So as you can see its pretty simple lol

Very fun to do though.

Suzie2000 I don't mind, the intro sounds very 'thriller-ish' to me (not as in the Michael Jackson song but as in the genre of film) I'm thinking of doing "The Night Museum Part II" starting tomorrow, while I'm still in that frame of mind lol.

Which film did it remind you of? :-)

Stevee T lol I don't have a keyboard lol, I just use Reason 2.5 and the Orkesta soundbank...my friend said he's going to buy some of the Reason Refills and he said I could put some on my computer if I wanted :-)

He said he's probably going to get the 'Ethnic Instruments' one...which is the one I like the most lol, I love all the instruments that take ya' to different places lol.

Anywayz yeah I just sequence most of the instruments on Reason with a little pencil type tool that draws in 32nds, 16ths etc (depending what you have it set on) then I adjust the fading in and stuff.

Anywayz, take care

Delfino

Suzie2000 I have considered making music for films before, I'll probably give it a lot more thought in the future because me and two friends want to make films and one is into directing the other is into filming and I'm more into sound and editing :-)

anywayz its nearly 1:10am...so I'm gonna' get an early night.

Hmmm I have not seen 1 hr of daylight today...its 3:38pm and from when I've been drifting in and out of sleep it seems like its been raining pretty heavy outside, so I haven't seen the sun.

Hehehe I had my alarm set for 10am...as it came on I smacked it off again lol...reflexes of a cat I tell thee.

I hope everyone had a good night last night

Steve Wilde When I'm more awake I'm going to give your solo tunes a good listen to, then I'm staying up all night to get "The Night Museum Pt II" started (and to get my regular sleep patterns back).

Take care
