Hey Joe, I want you to know that seeing G-3 has been the best damn concert experience of my life. I am not saying this for any reason other than the fact. I flew to Las Vegas to see Aerosmith on Oct. 25th. I missed G-3 by 2 weeks. I wish I flew out to see G-3. I am a photographer since 1978 so I have some really great photos of G-3 as well as 25 other bands that may no longer be in existance.Joe , when I saw you perform and it was such an experience that I was high for about 3 weeks just listening to you music!I had the honor of seeing G-3 @ the Keswick, Pa and @ The Beacon NYCity the first nite. My Life will never be the same!!!! My life has changed for the better! I Listen to Satriani and Vai every day, of course SRV too.You have moved and changed my life in so may ways. I am so greatful! Thanks!

Joe, I really didn't make clear that I had never heard you before I saw you at the Keswick Theatre, Pa. but I haven't stopped listening to you every single day of my life!. I know people tell you all the time how much you mean to them. I have had several celestial experiences with your music. i have Strange Beautiful Music in my CD player. I can't take it out! I just love tract #13. It blows me away! The Journey. Thank you for inspiring me to greatness! Your Music is most amazing! I now have passion in my life again because of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. I am forever in your debt! I can't wait for the next G-3 show! Mari

P.S. I have some really great photos.

jazzer13------ I'm new to this message thing. I just saw your posting 1/7. I'm glad to hear that you are also passionate of the Traveler -SBM as I am. It stirs my soul !You are fortunate to have the talent to play that song. I wish I could. Not all have the gift, not all are on the same level. However there are those of us who are just as pasionate about music as "the players".I only wonder if when you play a song does it feel the same as it does for me? I was high for 3 weeks after my 1st G-3 show. Music is my passion. Thanks Joe!

michelle-----Yes Joe's magic is Beautiful and I still listen to it everyday. I'm under his spell ! You mentioned Dave LaRue, I saw him with Steve Morse and the Dreggs this past summer. Nice guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Stone Pony! I was able to see them in 3 states. NJ, PA and Fla. after not having been to a concert in 20 years, I'm catching up!

jazzer13 I'm so sorry to hear of your poor health! Do what you have to to take care of yourself! That is 1st & foremost! You are #1. I work in the health field. I am a Radiation Therapist so when you come to me sometimes it's a little to late! This isn't always the case, there is alway's hope! and exceptions to the rule. #13 on SMB is the Traveler. I keep mixing up the Journey w/ the Traveler. I love"em both but the Traveler totally moves my soul when I hear it. It's like stop everything! My song is on!!! There is nothing more important in the world than that song!! I don't know why , but this song stir's my soul! Big Time!!! Does that happen for you when you play certain songs? I am grateful for how Joe Satriani and Steve Vai have changed my life... for the bettter of course! Things ain't never going to be the same!! I hope you have a speedy recovery!

Do the Stu----- My Aerosmith photos are from 79-83 or so. I do not have a website, I hope to someday. I have a case pending with copyright infringment that's unbelieveable!.I was xmas shopping and I discovered in a tell all book by Seven's 1st wife , my photo with her name attached! I knew as soon as I saw it that it was my photo!

Michelle--- I was also at the Beacon Theater show! In fact I had 3 shows in 6 days, Nov.5 th G-3 , Nov.8th Johnny Winter (I was 2 feet away from him! I got some nice shots. I met him in 82 and would have met him then but he was not feeling well that nite @ the Stone Pony) And then Nov.10th Beacon Threatre 6th row until the security guard felt sorry for me and let me stand in front of Joe behind the woman that some people thought was Pia Vai. That was the best show ever! I ran out of film , but I shot about 8 rolls! Great stuff! I got to meet Yngwie's bass player, I think his name was Mick. I gave him a photo of Yngwie from the Keswick. My shots of him are not great because of the damn smoke, it blurs everything . I am just making up for lost time . I hope that Rolling Stone may be interested in my work. I have always respected the artist and have never used or sold the images. My work sat in my closet for 20 years and it was hidden from everyone, myself include.

Do the Stu: I went through my Aerosmith photos 700+ and I found only 13 or 14 with Rick Dufay in them. I have alot of Jimmy Crespo (maybe they still keep in touch) since he was on '79 tour. I do have a few nice shots of Rick/ Rick & Steven. I was on stage for a few shows, it's a cool place to be but my photos are better when I'm in the front. I didn't see them much after Brad left the band. If you could contact Rick on my behalf I would appreciate it. I would love to share some of my photos if I ever learn how to use my scanner and computer. I wish I had more photos of Rick but I was usually in front of Jimmy on the other side of the stage from Rick. If you want to give me your email address that would be cool.

Yes," Dream On" is the book! You know your stuff dude! It's a shame I can' t confront her for what she did. She should be accountable for her actions! What I got from the book is that she blamed Steven for everything. She was a speed freak and slept with whoever she had to but he hooked her on heroine and ruined her life. "Get real !" as Dr. Phil would say. Take responsibility for you actions and your life! We shall see what my lawyer hears back from the publishing company.

I see you are a Steve Morse Fan also! I have some great old photos from 82-83 and recently '03. He is such a great guy, his band and his fans are really great people! The fans call themselves "the family". I have to say the people I have met at G3 shows and Steve Morse/The Dreggs shows are the greatest! It's so nice to talk to someone who is on the same level as I am. I not a musician but I have the same passion as someone who plays. I wish I had that gift! My gift is capturing the emotion of the musician on film. I try to do justice to the music and the artist. The people on this site are really cool! I've only done a few posts and have found a really great connection. There are some amazing people on this site!

anibur: Steve Vai is such an incredible human being/ musician! G3 -03 was the greatest musical experience of my life! I felt the Joy and Energy! Amen!

Joe: You are also an incredible and amazing artist! I wish more musicians were like you and really loved the music also! Too many are out for "comercial sucess" or are just so full of themselves that they have totally lost sight of what's real ! You are a gift and I thank you and Steve for sharing with us! How about an East Coast Hendrix Celebration in NYC? We would love it!! You can maybe do it in Nov. for his B-day!

Do The Stu: Thanks! I 'll be emailing you soon!

The Prez: I'm a huge SRV fan. Unfortunately he was one that I missed during my hiatus! The only recording I ever do is in my checkbook when I write a check! lol! I don't play any musical instrument. I just take photos of rock bands. I've got lots of photo of some great artists. And I've got many shows lined up. Now it's a bit tricky getting the camera in & shooting. I do my best .Hopefully you will see some of my G3-03 shots.

Ovation 1: Thanks for the G3 DVD link! I got mine! (preorder)

I've been busy with my photo inventory. I had some negatives in my old darkroom which was located in the basement of my Mum's house. A pipe burst and a few of my negatives were damaged. Big Deal because they were rock negs. the likes of Ozzy ' 82, Rossington-Collins my elbows on the stage Tower Theater'81(Allen Collins is Dead) make me cry! They are not all completely ruined, however too many are! I want to puke! I will make sure nothing happens to the rest of my collection. Have a good one.

michelle: Congrats on 1200! This is my 10th! It'll be a while till I get to your level ! I'm really protective of my photos and negatives, I thought my negs were in a safe place. Little did I know! They were in archival sleeves so that probably saved the rest. I am grateful that all of them were not lost. I'm going to get a safe box for them! I can't take anymore chances! My photo's are my "kids" so to speak! This is my legacey! When I'm gone this will be what's left! It 'll be somethin' else that's for sure!

Do the Stu: Thank God All was Not Lost! Many negs were OK but there were some causaulties! I am having contact sheets made so I can survey the damage! I know it could be worse! I am so grateful there are many survivors!

The Prez: I agree LOTR has to be the best adaptation done for the written story. Thankfully they didn't attempt this 5-10 yrs. ago. They wouldn't have been able to do justice! The photo of you and SRV jamming totally rocked! It made my day! I am a huge LOTR fan also, I would love to go to "The Shire"!

ToneCapone: What happens when you take both pills? matrix) You didn't say? Haven't heard from you, I hope you are ok?

Ovation: Don't laugh, but I don't DVD player yet! Have you any recommends for an awesome DVD/Home theatre system ? I have some awesome DVDs lined up to play! Thanks!

Captain Diddley! Good one! Yngwie pillaging! I needed that.Thanks.

Jazzer13: Glad to hear you're on the road to recover! At least until the other one's done. Now you know know what you're in for. No surprise! I did email you 2x but I had to go back, it took me forever cause I had it wrong the 1st time. I hope you got it. Get Well and hopefully we'll talk soon!

Good mourning Satchland! I'm listening to Live in San Fran. for the very first time, while catching up on the weekend posts. Oh my God! I can't wait until the next G3 tour! I think Jeff Beck or Steve Morse would be most awesome but unfortunately it probably won't happen. It will be fantastic whoever he choses. I'm there to see Joe and Steve. The 3rd guitarist is a bonus! G3-04 will be incredible! Listening to Joe makes make almost forget that it's 22 degrees (windchill 9) outside. Brrrrr! I wish I had taken that job offer in San Fran 2 years ago, I could be going to the Hendrix tribute show. I also wouldn't be freezing my butt off! But that was before my" Satrianization". Oh well, just have to make the best of it!

The A: Welcome! There are some very kuul people here! So glad you are a part of it! I also like RATM and Audioslave. I just love C. Cornell! He is awesome! I saw Audioslave last summer! They ROCKED!

Michelle: So sorry to hear about your basement ordeal! Glad to hear that you saved the guitars and amp! I think you deserve a trip to the Bahamas for that! lol! Thankfully it wasn't worse! Hopefully it will never happen again, what a nightmare that must've been. Listen to some Satriani and have a few shots of wiskey, you'll forget all about those blisters! lol! Good luck.

Ovation: I totally agree with you about Steve Vai & the grammy's! Nuff said. How long have you been in Japan? Is it for business? After seeing "Last Samuri" and a certain photographe'rs work(his name escapes me)@ the Polk St. Festival last fall in San Fran. I hope to visit Japan soon! I loved Last Samuri! Not for Cruise but for the actor who played opposite him. He is nominated for an Oscar, best supporting I think.I hope he wins! I love that movie! I think it spoke volumes! It's unsettling what the US gov. did to the American Indians, come to find out the Japanese gov. did the same damn thing to the Samuri! It's pathetic because both cultures have so much to offer especially in this day and age. They were on to something strong! The Governments owe them BIG TIME !

TheA: Keep spreading the word about Joe, you have excellent taste! I'm trying to do the same also on the East Coast. You'd be suprised how many people don't know about him! Shit, I did'nt! I live for music! But I did have a long hiatus, very long story, very personal. Nuff said!

DelfinoPie: I love RATM and Audioslave! Mostly Audioslave! I'm not into punk but my taste is varied also! I don't like Punk but I Love the Blues!! I hope your cold gets better quick! They can hang on forever! SRV Rocks! Music will soothe your soul! I do love Iggy Pop's "Wiilde Child"! Go Figure! I guess i'm just a little bit punk, maybe 8 per cent. Love to dance to that tune!

Narface: I totally agree with you about the concert experience! I started going to show's when they were called "Dance Concert's". That meant the "Floor was Open"' No Mosh pit can freakin compare! It's the whole entire floor! It was after Cinncinati, OH. '79 , that changed everything for the better! Althought someone bit my ass at the show! The Who Oct. 19th 1979 I was only 16 and shot my 1st show with my 35mm. I have some great photo's. If I knew now...... I will never forget that! I worked my way from the back, all the way to the front with my camera! I payed like 10.00 for a ticket! Now it's so much more! So I don't want bodies being slammed or pushed to/ in front of me! I love my space dude!

Anuj: Well spoken my friend! Vai also tweaks and touches my soul in so many ways! It's so unbelievable, just the same way that Joe has stirred my soul in unimaginable ways! My life has been changed forever by Joe and Steve! Their music is beyond Grammys. That doesn't mean shit when you look at the artist's that are up for "Grammy Awards". Who makes the selection anyway? David Guest? They don't know dick about music! That has never influenced my decision about any of my musical choices! I'm sure no-one on this website has ever been swayed by what the commitee thinks! F-Them Stay true to your soul! Music is my passion! My life wouldn't be the same without Joe Satriani and Steve Vai! I thank God for them, every day of my life! G3-03 changed my life 4ever!

Hello! What the hell is going on here? I'm usually listening but sometimes I speak.. We can all be nasty but we chose not to ! Because we Love the Music and we Love Joe! It's a bit sad what's been going on! It's so unnecessary! .

Ovation: Watanabesan is the Man! I hope he wins! I think his character was Kasumoto or Katsumoto. He stole my heart not Cruise! You definitely have the best of both worlds! BTW: Thanks for that awesome link! I had a Satch CD in my hands a few years ago. but I put it BACK! CURSE ME! It was SURFING! I will have to share a few photos with you,! You have shared so much with me! I thank you! I totally loved that video link ! I have missed so damn much! I'm trying to make up for it though! Stay true to your soul!

Michelle :Aerosmith is scheduled for Hershey Sat. June 26'04 no venue has been scheduled yet. Let me know if you're intersested! they are touring with Cheap Trick. I can only get 2 tickets through the fan club.

btw: my best friend growing up was Timmy Kelly and Ronnie Gonzales. 2 of the most phenom. guitarist that have ever been! Ronnie taught Tim, and Timmy was in "Slaughter" till he was killed in a MVA in Las Vegas. And I never found out about it till he after was buried, that really sucked! If anyone knows how I can contact Ronnie Gonzales Please let me know! I last heard he was in Ariz. or New Mexico. What a great human being Ronnie is! It's been over 25 yrs! Far to long since we have spoken.

I saw Jonny Lang in AC, NJ Fri nite , great show but still couldn't shake the blues I've had for a week. I saw Jonny Lang again last night in a club in NJ, he was so freakin AWESOME! I was 10 feet from him, I could read the writting on his fender telecaster! What a great guitarist! His latest CD doesn't do justice to his ability! I was finally able to shake this funk I've been in. I met a guy there who was at the Atlantic City show the nite before , he is a Neuropsychologist. He deals with head trauma patients and their rehab. You never know the interesting people you meet at a show. I was telling him about Satriani and the kuul people that are on this site! If you get a chance to see Jonny Lang , don't miss it!

Death Cube K: Hi! Ovation1is a great human being. He is the real deal. There are some very kuul people here! Your name is very interesting, what's it from? It reminds me of a move that they might do in inline vert. skating (Gravity Games) or skateboarding. I don't have all of Satch's CD's so it may be from there? I just love the inline vert skating! The 2 brothers from Japan are just amazing! They are on a level that no-one else can touch (just like Satriani). You had mentioned about a Steve Morse DVD, what's it called? I would love to get it. I'm thinking of going to the Deep Purple show at the Beacon NYC just to see Steve play. He's a great musician & human being! I got to see him 3 times last year, standing 2-3 feet from him!

Ovation: Is there stuff on video or DVD that I can get on the (Kurosawa)Samuri? If you have some titles that I could look for that would be great! I have long been intersted in the Japanese culture. I find the Samuri most amazing and intriguing! I also have been interesed in the American Indian culture. I wore moccasins and the boots as a teenager. I have been to some Pow-Wow / festivals that are really kuul. It's so sad what the goverment did to those people and their incredible culture! They had so much to contribute. What a shame!

Michelle: Thanks for your wisdom and kind words. I really appreciate it! I saw QueensRyche and Dream Theatre last summer at Kahunnaville in Delaware. They all jammed together at the end to Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb! It was F***ing awesome! They get some good groups there, I'll let you know if I hear anything. It's not far from Philadelphia, 20 mins or so.

btw:Yngwie will be at the Starland Ballroom in Sayerville NJ on April 1st with George Lynch (?) They are calling it "Guitar Gods Tour".

Joe should be there. It will be intersesting to see how many people turn out for him. I don't think I'll be going. I saw him at G-3 twice. Nuff said. I'm going to see Puddle of Mudd there 2 weeks before. I hope they put on a good show.
