Nice to know, paco de lucia is one of my favourite guitarists, certainly one of the greatest out there. Yet I rarely see many people talk about him, so its good to see some confirmation that others do recognize how great he is.

In response to whoever was talking about vicente amigo before (yes I know my response is late), I have heard him, and his playing is pretty good, but I don't think he can even compare to paco. Not by a longshot.

Seriously, any of you who haven't tried parker guitars should go do so. Parkers and the ibanez js models are probably my favourite guitars out there. I was all set to buy a js1000 back when, but I ended up buying a parker. Its one of the lightest guitars out there, coming in at something like 5 pounds, with a neck-through that makes it seem like a one-piece guitar. Next time any of you are in a guitar store, try to see if you can try one.

ScottyZeppellin - Yes the js1000 is definately worth the investment. It's definately a more modern guitar, a bit different then the standard models which have become so popular. I personally believe that modern ideas in guitars are essential in order to avoid stagnation in guitar development. No progress without change, but people continue to cling desperately to the notion that the "vintage" guitars are somehow better. Try a js1000 out, and while your at it, try out a parker fly! Parkers are one of the few guitars that are more modernized than js models. At risk of sounding too much like a parker sales representative, parkers fly's are probably my favourite standard model of guitar out there. Closely following are the js model ibanezes (excluding the js100.) Try them all out and then decide, in the end its all preference.

Ok, so i know this post is probably pretty useless, as theres little chance joe would read it, but i noticed a new show in january was added to the evening with joe tour. i figure, as long as your adding shows to the tour, for the love of god come back to toronto! think of all the people throughout canada who would come to the show. a pretty clear indication of how many people here would come in the comparatively high attendance rating for the toronto show with deep purple as compared to the shows in other US cities. Its not like were that far out of the way!
Ok, i realize this was probably useless, so other talk to joe posters, feel free to ignore it.

Ok, I'm ready for a politically charged debate. This might not be the place for it... but oh well. Feel free to skip this post, it'll be a long one, I've sort of gotten myself into a rant.
To begin, to the republicans out there, can you explain to be how the republican party keeps complaining about "inheriting a recession" when Clinton left them with a 3 trillion dollar surplus? Can you also explain to me how many of the conservative media stations have chosen to use the words "global test" completely out of context in an effort to discredit Kerry? Can you explain to me why Dick Cheney claimed never to have met Edwards previously when there is documented proof on video of them having met? Can you explain to me how bush became president despite his obvious lack of intellect, not even in comparison with his not overly bright father. Why is stubborness in leadership considered decisiveness? How is it that Bush is credited with keeping America safe when there has been a huge increase in nuclear proliferation since he took office? Why is it that he said if he had the opportunity to do it all over again, considering what he knows now, he would still do the same thing again? Considering the report released determining that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction, and had made no attempt to make any such weapons since 1998? And how is it that republican representatives continuely say that Kerry is saying "wrong war, wrong place, wrong time" when all that Kerry has said is that the war was not executed the right way, rather than saying the war itself was wrong. Finally, why is it that Bush can't come up with new arguements for different debates? I mean, he could at least have the decency to rephrase some of his answers. And also, why is it that ignoring the answers to questions, even when answers prove statements wrong, seems to be a trait common in many republicans? I mean, take this excerpt from the 1992 debate between clinton and bush sr.
http://web.archive.org/web/20030415011231/http://web.msu.edu/debate/6.html
Clinton countered his point on Arkansas, Bush made no rebuttal, but continued to restate his point as if no counter had been made.
Why did Arnold decide to call the economically disparate, "economic girly-men", a phrase both blatantly sexist, and stupid.
Why do the American people swallow such blatant propaganda?
Give me good answers to all these questions, and I'll agree that the republicans deserve to be elected.

Get away from all that stuff??? Hahaa, my spare time for the past two months has been spent watching convention videos, state of the unions, inaugural addresses, debates, and other random speeches from throughout history. My entire life during election time is politics. I can't imagine wanting to "get away from it."
Random note: Whats with all the things telling people to vote? I'd rather people not vote if their not informed.

Ive been going throughout forums asking republicans to give me a reasoned explanation as to why people would vote for bush using only factual accomplishments of Bush's from the past four years. So far, no results.
