JOe hey it's me thewatcher. do you read comics? If you do you must check out MIdnight Nation by JMS and Gary Frank. I fthis is ever made into a movie-it would only be worth a look if you did the music-you should do the music for it. It is worth checking out trust me. take care .

PSYCHO MONKEY, I'm hoping and praying that I get to "see" Joe this time around. The Tweeter Center is a BIG place. If I do get a face to face with him, I'll try REAL hard to remember "Chrispy sends his best regards!". LOL!!

Also, I'm heartbroken that I won't be seeing Jr this time around either. We're going to different shows ;-(

But if I'm real lucky I'll get to see Rich again! LOL!!

FRETBOARD LIGHTER- i read this on amazon.com This live album is Megadeth's FINAL RELEASE. Overall, the CD is horrible and Dave seems to have trouble controlling his voice in most places, which forced me to omit several stars. not too keen on the cover, looks like a still from matallica's "enter sandman" video...its a shame the bands over, i was just listening to countown to extinction today...

Vetteguy43 --- It takes time to develop calluses on your right hand fingers so initally, the notes you tap might not ring out as loud as fretted notes. After a while, you get used to it, so keep on practising!!

the watcher --- any other comics you recommend? i'm a fan of JMS....

is it just me, or am i the only one who understands what clone1 is trying to say...

Thesis: timelimt == to stop spam edit message == useless with no timelimit

Conclusion: timelimit + edit == ideal.

But you should trust the users of this site anyways to not need a timelimit..but for some reason it bothers me to see 2 or 3 posts by the same person right after eachother..it's like..just hit the damn enter key. sigh :p i'm tired and grumpy..to the newsgroups to continue infringing on copyrights

Cainester - You'll be able to buy merchandise at the shows...I don't know if we'll be able to buy stuff over the website, but if we are it probably won't happen until the tour starts.

Invigor - I don't think there should be any reason to have a time limit if all of the posts people make are intelligent and coherent (kinda like what you said). If we get bombed with cut and pasters, then yeah, I'd say we need a time limit...but not until then. The edit feature has nothing to do with the time limit. It's an "edit" feature, not an "add more to your post" feature. And the edit feature only changes old posts. It doesn't make the post a "new" post. If you edit your post, people that have already read it won't see the new information that you've added. As far as one person making two or three posts...I guess you're talking to me. I don't make a post until I've caught up with everything on the board. But if it takes 10 minutes for me to write a post, more people have posted during that time. I don't read those posts until after I post my first message... So after that, I reply to the posts that happened during my typing...sometimes that means that two of my posts end up next to each other. Last night it ended up being three posts... I could've combined two of those into one post, and I apologized for it.

austin- now you have too much time on your hands.... yesterday anyway :) with reference to the coil tap thing, it's easily enough done... I have it easy, I have a JS100 which has the coil tap but not the high pass filter... anyway, you continue to be one of the coolest people on the site cause you simply don't get bored of answering people's questions... great guy..

Neil Morgan... Yeah Maths is pretty heavy- particularly if you're doing the whole a2 in one year like me.. I'm also taking Music (Edexcel) which i enjoy loads... it would be cool to meet up sometime, maybe at the london show if you're going, have a jam at some point Thanks for the Davestock info- dunno if I'll be able to make it all the way down to hastings (it's a fair distance from here on Sussex).

Mr M. Lava I completely agree with your comment and wouldn't think of arguing about it.

anybody who'll listen - it's my sister's wedding today, excitement! Also, it's England vs. Denmark... problem is, I'm head usher at the wedding which means I have to leave straight after the final whistle of the match... sadly this means if it goes to extra time/ penalties (eg. England Argentina in the 2nd round 4 years ago) I have to miss it... :(

Morning everybody, well it's morning for us in the UK, the sun is shining in between showers and England will have us biting our nails later on. The new site looks ok but the old one was fine too, I am a believer in if it works don't try and fix it. Can we post as often as we like now? Naty - I know you are female and I am too, men, what are they like. Perhaps all the ladies should post in and just remind the hairy monsters who is of the fairer sex. Andy, my other half, who isn't very hairy, is still practising his chords etc and he's slowly coming along, his fingers are a bit sore but he soaks them in vinegar to toughen them up. Friend at work lent me some Genesis videos that i haven't seen for a while, my son loved the solo part of Los Endos with Phil and Chester thrashing away in time together. Wonderful stuff. Anyway, bye for now everybody, stay happy. LOL Sharon

Just catching up on all the posts I've missed the past few days, phew, can't afford to not come on here for a couple of days, my eyes are boggling now.

XROB - Perhaps it will be Big Bad Moon, or Big Bad Baboon, do we all have our song sheets ready.

I want a JS shirt too.

Austin - had a look at your picture with Joe, you are a tall lad aren't you. I don't understand how to do this bold stuff, I'm not a computer buff, just want to switch on and use it. Can you tell me how to do it. Thanks Sharon

Joe

I saw you in PORTUGAL playing with AC/DC, back in 199*...

It was awesome

In your new european tour, you won't make it to PORTUGAL or SPAIN... why?

You have a lotta fans year, people that have all your records, buy the guitars you play, buy the pedals you use...

It's too bad not to see you here

Does anyone here agree that Joe needs more musicians for his live shows and recordings? I love Joe's music, and words fail to describe his ability on the guitar and how it has inspired me continually since I first discovered it. But sometimes I feel the true quality of his songs cannot be conveyed with just a 3 piece (or occasionally 4) band. Joe's live performance is truly amazing, but to do justice to the complexity and intricacies of his album recordings, and to recreate the completeness and fullness of the sound, more instuments on stage are needed. Stu and Jeff do a great job, but Joe's music demands more than simply drums and bass behind it - and not even Joe can play all the giutar parts at once! A good example of what I'm talking about is The Summer Song off the G3 cd. The main rhythm part of the song gives it intensity and energy on Extremist, and it's a shame it's not there on G3 when Joe has to take the lead part and there's no guitar2 to play it and support Joe's outstanding performance. I'm thinking at least one, maybe two rhythm guitarists are needed, as well as a keyboard player. Steve Vai has Mike (on g + kb) and another guitarist with him on his tours and it serves him well. I saw him in Australia in 2000 and his full band helped him recreate the magic of his albums. Any comments?
