Steven Wilde, good to see your message bro. You're welcome dude, and you know your t2j family are always here man. I don't know how long it takes before your bad periods of seizures subside, but I really hope you're feeling better today, and if you're not, I hope you'll feel better soon! take it easy hombre!
DCK, sorry about all the questions earlier, but you can ignore them! hehe, I did a bit of my own research, found the calling code (I didn't realise that it's 001 like the US!) and called Broadway Pawn a little while ago. They have put the yamaha on one side for me and will contact me, probably monday, about the details they need! Excellent!
Delfino, I'd guess the whisk makes a similar noise to the motor in a drill?! I've not tried the whisk, but have used a drill before (with a plectrum drill-bit I made) and it worked wondefully....I can imagine the kinda noise you're getting! Enjoy!

Delfino Pie,
Maybe the rpm slowage will produce some interesting sounds. Plenty of cherrios here, but I'm currently dieting for bikini season...hehe...silly is great when surrounded by impending sorrow, cause we'll have reason to cry way too soon.
BTW...Watching the Tsunami special, John Mayer just did a very convincing version of Jimi Hendrix's "Axis Bold as Love" & EC did Pink Floyd's "Wish you were here" so sad the massive loss due to nature's rath...peace

Greetings World of musicians!
Please give me your advice, I have lots of ideas for guitar work but can never seem to put it together with drums, keys and bass, either I am my own worst critic or it just sounds terrible,,, maybe it's a combination of both. ha ha.
Are there any guidelines to follow that would help me put something together, how does arrangement work. I read tab and play by ear and would like to get everyone's input.
Thanks!
Larreye

DREAM THEATER guitarist John Petrucci has finalized the track listing for his new solo CD, "Suspended Animation", due later in the year.
Regarding the musical direction of the album, veteran producer Kevin Shirley (IRON MAIDEN, DREAM THEATER) — who mixed the effort last summer — had previously said, "[it] is 64 minutes long, has no keyboards or vocals on it, and it rocks pretty hard. At times, it throws up Steve Morse, Gary Moore and Jeff Beck stylings and [John] really shreds on it!"
"Suspended Animation" track listing:
01. Jaws of Life
02. Glasgow Kiss
03. Tunnel Vision
04. Wishful Thinking
05. Damage Control
06. Curve
07. Lost Without You
08. Animate-Inanimate

One of the most beautiful finishes I've ever seen on a guitar. I'd almost be afraid to play it for fear of nicking the finish.

Stevee T:Thanks man, patience i feel is the word when it comes t "why wont it do what the instructions say"lol On the new track.. many takes & a hell of a long time.I started playing it around 10 years ago,but only managed t record some sections of it last year. The real problem has been trying t play after the day job, which is brutal on the hands & impossible t record until the weekends, couple that along with recording only DI into the computer & y got probs especially if the house earth stinks.I,m buying some mikes this month,i,m never recording a classical guitar like that again if i can help it,edit death between chord shifts, however its done,ah well back t PC hell & thanks again for the links
Zenfish:Sabicas, hmmm, not come across the name,I,ll look him up,in fact i,ve been out of the guitar scene for a great deal of time,at least 7 years & i,m just starting t catch up again now on listening t old & new material/artists,so thanks for the heads up on Sabicas & good luck in all things Zenswing metal.
Death Cube:No probs Mark, failing the links Stevee T sent i,ll buy whats needed t start fresh & yes one day i think theres goin t be a program t solve ALL problems at an affordable price.Technology has come such a long way in such little time, imagine what its goin t be like in 10 years if its like this now.Just amazes me

Zenfish- Jazzmetal, that sounds cool! I love jazz guitar music.
962- That sounds bad, I know what you mean about a bad environment affecting your mood, where I work is less than picturesque, sometimes that gets depressing... hope you're more cheered up today. That made me laugh what you said about Tescos... when I was a student I remember Tescos sold own brand baked beans for 3p, bread for about 10p, I thought it was a great bargain, but the beans were rank- really watery sauce, don't know what else I expected for 3p though!! Definitely a false economy, and you get what you pay for! :-)
Steven- hope you were able to get some rest, sending positive thoughts your way! Hope your day goes ok today- :-)
Cheese101- Thanks! We haven't got the piano fixed just yet, but we have a guy coming round tomorrow to see if he can fix it, fingers crossed he can! Yeah, the place is working out really well!
Bahduh- sorry to hear times are difficult for you at the moment, hope things get better soon and that your son gets well.
