Hey guys. Nice to be part of Joe's online community, finally. I was wondering if you all could give me some advice. I've only been playing a couple years, and my friend and I just started a summer band project aimed at a sort of classic, arena rock sound. Right now I'm playing my Ibanez RD300 through a used Fender Rumble 60, but it's just a little too heavy a combo for what we're trying to play. I still get a sort of chunky, more metal type sound out of it, even with the gain down. Any reccomendations for a good, blues-rock sort of amp?

Do The Stu - hows it going? I am hoping to catch Jeff Beck in Denver in September. I see he is playing 3 shows in California if you are interested.

Cheese 101 - Jeff beck is playing in Las Vegas too. My two youngest children left home about the same time , I wasn't ready for that either. I had a tough time adjusting from your world revolves around them to I got alot of time on my hands now. Shortly after they left I decided to go to my first JOE SATRIANI concert . Joe's music helped fill the void for me. It has been six years now , I still miss them but not like when they first left. Take care , you both will be fine.

Since they left I have seen Joe 9 times , Jeff Beck 2 , Steve Vai , ZZ Top , Rush , Aerosmith , Van Halen , Fleetwood Mac

Clarky...... Awful news Bro. Rest up and put those fingers to work on the guitar as soon as the pain stops. You could recover faster by playing. Just a thought. Any updates at your site? Take Care.

Do the Stu hey. this summer I'm working for Tacom Public Utilities. to be more precise Tacom Power. Only luckily the project I'm working on is the Cushman project which is where I live! So the two dams on the Cushman lakes provide power for the City of Tacoma. So I'm working in my own backyard but working for Tacoma, pretty funny. I just have a laberors job, it's tough but it's fun, and I get paid not bad for just outta high shcool. 10.51 an hour. It's good money for now. This fall I'm attening PLU (Pacific Lutheran University) and I'm gonna be a music major! I cannot wait for that. Life is definitely changing for me! pretty cool stuff though....

BAHDUH Thanks for the update. Good Steven is feeling a little better. It seems hes going thru a psychological trial. We will keep praying for him bro. I to appeal to the Webmaster and Joe to post a little something for Steven as it can do nothing but help.

SUZ Thanks for the Tarantino link on the soundtracks. Yeah, I'm really getting into latino rock. Tito and the Tarantulas really get down. Fast and furious. Love the spanish in the tracks! Will let you know about the flicks. Dont know when as I have a real busy week. Aloha girl.

MICHELLE Cool JP link! Great bass and drum solos. Very poised and mature gentlemen at their age. We all know JP got into self chemical and biological research. One of the true greats of all time. Thanks

ZEN Nice Led Zep links as well. In my time of dying, outstanding. Bonham can sure carry the bottom nicely in the pocket. STRONG!

BASS FULL OF BULLETS I'm a bassist as well, although WATERPROOF SOAP is the man to ask. I play blues/rock as you do and find that my Fender 25 is ample for a typical garage. I think its all relative though. But if you feel overpowering then drop the watts. If I do a gig I use a Fender 150. Ask WS for the real info as I'm just a rookie. Welcome to the site bro. STU also is very experienced. He is another go-to guy.

WATERPROOF SOAP Hows the new band going bro. I bet your too busy to even post. Hope all is well. I hooked up with the drummer yesterday and we be jamming bro. Its seems I'm a little too fast from playing all that latino rock and gotta chill. It takes time, but the singer and lead guitarist are coming this weekend and I'm freakin man. This drummer is full on power. He is former marine infantry. He gave me a complete rundown on his 50 cariber machine gun and its physics. Cooool. This is exciting brudda!

Let me know how things are going when you got da time. Much Aloha G
