why all the shows with dream theater? i mean, petrucci is great, but that singer drives me nuts. i just about bought 2nd row seats to the milwaukee show a few minutes ago (off ebay) - but, i'm not gonna drive for 8 hours to hear 5 joe songs and a bunch of 80's style metal rock tunes... i guess i'll see you on the "evening with..." tour in 2003 or 4. have a great tour!

Ok Joe! I know I shouldn't be discussing this but... "New Last Jam"... Major "Led" going on there dude!! That riff...man... I can see Jimi Page with his beat up Danelectro slightly out of tune with the subtle bit of fuzz and crunch pounding out a riff like that... Man that's freakin cool! Peace.....Plum Loco Rides Again!!!!!!!!

NJ BEAST, I can only offer one more solution (or two)....You can try having a couple of beers before you go on, it might settle your nerves a little (or a lot).....AVOID CAFFEINE!!! Another idea is to try wearing sunglasses, you might find it easier if no one in the audience can look you in the eyes, whereas YOU can look at anybody and they wont know it....you have the edge!!! Hope it works out for you....like I said before, eventually it will fade with time........Later, Dave

Plum Loco --- yeah i did get a major "Led" vibe from New Last Jam (sorry, i've sinned against the Satch by downloading )!!
in fact, i get that and a Hendrix vibe quite abit from this album and that's a good thing!! i also feel that it brings together many elements from all his previous albums...! rock on Joe!!

zonin - Joe and Dream Theater are each doing 90 minute sets. That'd be about 15-20 JS songs. I guess it still isn't worth it to you...but it's more than 5 songs.

What is this messaging board being run off of? I'd like to suggest using phpBB forums. It'd be much easier to find posts by certain people and have different topics to better organize discussion. This way people can quickly identify topics they'd like to read and possibly participate in. As it stands, the Talk to Joe section of this site is just one long thread.

READ ME!! Holy shit! you've got a lot of messages. How r things? I started listening to guitarists like yourself about 3 years, playing about 5 yrs myself. I use the trusty pentatonics and some other major scale that stretches roughly 9 frets, and I use the diminished scale for that distinct classical sound. What else can I do with my guitar? I reckon i'm gettin pretty fast but what other large stretching scales can I use for a build up in a soung, you know the ones, the strings are muted and if u play it fast enough it sounds almost like a machine gun or something? Oh yeah can't wait for Dublin gig july 21!!!

Joe, I've been playing guitar for ten years or so and I have a question. Where do you find the majority of your inspiration? I'm thinking of doing an instrumental project myself and I thought I would go to the best for advice. Thank You
