Brian May has some very nice things to say about Chickenfoot on his website. The link is on the front page. On Satch: "a finer guitarist you can find nowhere on this planet"...
Aaand...it looks like Peavey fixed their press release. Joe is back in the photo and acknowledged as a member of the band.
It's still early, but I'll go back to one of the first things I said...I bet Joe is using Marshall on the tour until the Peavey JSX 50 is released and he can somehow incorporate some of those qualities into a larger amp that'll work for amphitheater shows.

Thanks Webmaster: Thanks for expalaining that to me. I'm on AT&T 54.mbps. I got it working a few hours later with no problems. I put a link to that listening party on my Myspace/Facebook page and a wigit came up with a pic of the band and the logo! It was an easy way to give you free ads, and for my friends to track down the songs. Extra special thanks to all who posted the link here on T2J!! If'in' you get some time check out the http://www.flickr.com/photos/ibanezpalyer Link. Take a break and enjoy the fun of it all. Randell

hybes (and everyone) - Ah, Dredg... I think the band sounds like a cross between U2 and Rush. They have four full-length albums, all of which are very different from each other.
I'd recommend starting with either Catch Without Arms (2005) or The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion (2009). Their other albums are El Cielo (2002), which was my favorite before their new album came out, and Leitmotif (1998). Don't get that one until the end...it sounds the least like anything else they've done.
Here are YouTube links to music videos of some singles from their last three albums:
Information (from The Pariah...)
Bug Eyes (from Catch Without Arms)
Same Ol' Road (from El Cielo)
And here are two more YouTube links:
Cartoon Showroom (my favorite song from The Pariah...)
Planting Seeds (my favorite song from Catch Without Arms)
That last video is a live performance...yes, that's a typewriter the lead singer is using (and yes, it's miked so you can hear him type). A few years ago he'd type messages throughout the show on small pieces of paper and throw them out into the crowd. I caught one at the first show I went to, it said "thanks for sitting in the front".
Dredg is very different from the music most people seem to listen to here, but they're an excellent band and are well worth getting into.

Hybes: I'm glad u asked! It's a talk2joe app, it just makes it really easy to read/search/post on the iPhone. I posted this message from it now.
It adds footer stuff like what song you're listening to and whatever else you set up for your own footer.
All that for $1.99! It'll be on the app store shortly. It's on my iPhone dock so I can open it quickly and check posts anytime.

Thanks Pip and Austin for the good wishes, life goes on.
Austin: No CD changer, I never carry my original CD's in the car anyways (risk of theft is always high), so I make my compilation MP3 CD's and listen to them all the way through, about 2 weeks per CD, or 3 CD's for road trips.
The dates add up for having pushed you into DT, by the time G3 2001 rolled along I already was a huge fan of Scenes from a Memory and had seen the DVD numerous times. My bad!! Can't say u regret it, right? :)
Michelle: u MUST hear it! Some parts you'll probably hate but most of it is pure evil. Get the special edition also, the covers are insane!!!
Guitarvibes: Sometimes it's best that Rudess remain hidden in the mix. For me he has ruined a couple of perfectly good songs with his corny breakdowns (Endless Sacrifice comes to mind). Now, Myung is another story...I still agree with you on the external producer comment.
Lots of posts today! will catch up later.

Are you Kidding? Joe Satriani is Chickenfoot. Removing him, for starters, has stopped me from ever purchasing anything Peavey again. I have thousands of dollars in Peavey gear and was prepared to purchase one of the new models of the JSX. Joe Satriani has supported you guys 100% and now, as the right every musician has, he wants to seek a better tone. Whats the problem...your wallet itching....well get ready to scratch it because i am only 1 of many thousands who will support Joe, the musician..and not Peavey..the corporation, only in it for profits. You should be ashamed!. I would have respected your company if it would have waited to speak to Joe before such drastic measures were taken. if you think removing him will benefit anyone...your way wrong!
A former peavey Supporter,
Joe Cipolla
Ps. Ill be blacking out the Peavey logos on my amps and cabs..like you have...and
..just like EVH...now JSX..lmoa

My opinion about Peavey, EVH, & Satch, is that this business is just between Peavey, EVH, & Satch.
Don't really understand why people feel so concerned by a business that isn't their business.
To me, the most important point is that two amps are born, & the rest doesn't concern us.
To support a musician is a point. To go without any invitation into its personnal things an other.
& above all, the most ridiculous is to oppose Marshall & Peavey, especially onto a forum of a guy like Joe, who gets an amazing collection of different heads. Yeap. Ridiculous. Joe has never waited for us to play onto the amps he wants to play with.
Sorry to smash, but.. shit.
