Joe - The new album kicks serious ass and is your most organic and heartfelt so far. One question about the classics that we all know. When are we going to see Live in San Fran in Tab??? Sure we can go out and buy the Time Machine Tab book but don't you think Live in San Fran has a dofferent feel and some of the arrangemants are dofferent not to mention songs that wern't on Tome Machine? Just wondering... a loyal deciple...Bob Snodgrass

Pete Mulas & Matt King - check your iuma comment pages.

My vote for G3 would be either Steve Morse or Shawn Lane, both monster players.
Whojackafibby asked this a while ago, but I would like to bring it up again. All the Toronto area T2Jer's we should try to get together & have our own G3 type of thing. Think about it, it would be cool.

Hey Kinger, the temp is perfect in Vegas! Right now at 9:00 am it's around 80 degrees. Of course sooner or later it will move down to the 60s, with high winds- and that wind does get very cold!

Clarky: I had planned on sending you a cd of mine, but my malidies and problems persist in the $ department. Christmas will be better. I'm still looking for local part-time work. Happy belated B-day. If I survive school, and get work, I'll find a way to post some tunes for you to review or just listen to for fun. I want to tell all who have sites posting links here, you guys(and gals) are famous to me!. It's hard enough with help to get a career going, as doing it all yourself. Try to remember it's not how good you are compaired to others, but how you personally progress. I have heard a lot of really great ideas and performances out there, so'os don't take yourselves lightly. most of the rest of the world is clueless as how to accomplish even that much. Joe: get the rest you needed? I have experience with that "lag" stuff too. You'll be back in the running and out there soon enough. Don't forget to eat healthy, and hug the family a few times also. Got to see your real player video/practice stuff. What's with galen being so quiet? Don't you guys let him speak? (Just kidding) Matt: we still need to figure out how to get a "plays like satch" concert going with the friends from t2j playing all in one place some how. Daunting task, considering all the countries everyone is from. maybe try to put it together in Austrailia just for fun. Peace, KTF

r6r - I did two pretty large theory posts within a few days... I thought that I'd hold back for a little while to give folks a chance to absorb the information... also, if I do too many of those huge posts back to back it kind of hogs TTJ - great for the posse but pretty unfair for the other folks in here....
death cube - the only person that does not notice you growing is you.... only on very rare occasions have I suddenly found a new burst of speed, accuracy, technique etc.... your improvement is a gradual process... can you honestly look back to when you was a kid and say the you noticed that you was gradually getting taller... you are [like all of us] too familiar with your own style and ability.... this is why other players always blow you away but they come to you and tell you how amazing you are..... it's a perspective thing... the 'grass being greener' .... etc....
wow... I've had two birthdays in a week... and gone from twentyseventeen to toooo hundrid...... something is not right here... lol

OK, I know, it has been a long time since my last post, and the reason may just be because of a very very few people that haunt this site, that I'd rather not be associated with, deal with,or not have to answer to. Sorry for the rest of you that have at times asked questions that I did not answer, and thank you for those of you who constructively critized EOC, since that project was very close to me for obvious reasons. But I have a couple of things to say to a few people. And BTW, none, repeat, none of the following remarks and statements of mine will reflect Joe or his family, nor any of the band members, got that?! Here it is: Michelle, seriously, who do you think you are fooling here?!!! Twig had the decency to apologize for the strong comments she made. And your retort was that comment about Twig needing a therapist and having "Nam" flashbacks?!!!!!!! I strongly suggest that you in turn apologize to everybody on the site for that incredibly stupid, dumb remark of yours about "Nam" if you can find it in yourself, because you insulted everybody's intelligence with that one, not just ours. And you, in turn should seek guidance Michelle, you should. I also do not appreciate in the least after all of this you asking Twig to give me your regards, I do not like digs. Furthermore, the reason why Twig stopped posting under her own name is deceptively simple, (never did she hide who she was or pretended to be someone else, Twig has far too much integrity for that). Of late she had been receiving way too many Email from people who, knowing our involment with each other, thought they could get insider's information on not only Joe and his whereabouts (ie, can you get us 10 tickets and backstage passes...), but also my direct involment with Guns & Roses, and the mystery surrounding record release dates and shows and the like. So it became far easier for Twig to go on the T2J page without having to be rude by saying no to those people. Maybe some of you will understand that. You can try all you want to portray yourself as God's gift to Earth, fine by me, but do not fool yourself by thinking the rest of us agree. Most will ignore you, and sure, few will still ask for your benediction, after posting, fearing the wrath of Michelle, the godmother of the T2J page. Twig does have very high morals, and I hope to God she never loses that. It is refreshing to actually find that morals still do exit in this world. And from the woman I love, it is salvation. Sad that only a couple of people understood the essence of her long post a couple of days ago, obviously you did not. Neither did your friend the -oh so great- phrygian dominant. JustJoan, Twig and I kindly invited you into our house, you used us to meet Joe, pretending to be our friend, only to insult us in return, in our home. How can you possibly even make comments about hypocrisy?! You have to be one of the saddest beings on earth. Go hide somewhere please. This post by the way is not meant to be answered by anybody, and certainly not by you, Michelle, Justjoan, or that other guy. I said what I felt I had to say, and that's all there is to it. Now for the rest of you guys who are already beyond bored by this post, let me just say that forever will I be grateful to Joe for bringing Twig and myself together, unknowingly, during the year 2000, we did find true love (can you hear the violins and the birds and stuff?), and all that because of and through his music, So you see, there is love on Satriani.com. Respect that.

dyer: I sat down and listened to EOC again, since it's been a while. It's growing on me now. There are six or seven songs that aren't half bad. I guess I was so disillusioned by the change of style from previous albums that I didn't give it enough chance.

I still prefer much of his earlier style, but that is the old fogie in me. One thing that is sure: Joe is first and foremost a great musical artist, and a great musician to boot. And from what I am seeing of him in the album jackets, he seems to be a great father. I am now appreciating that fact a lot. It's so nice to have popular musicians (really talented one) that is also well grounded and well heeled in life. Got to admire that.

1. It is very easy to hide your email address here

2. If I'm oh-so-great, who nominated me for that? I certainly didn't! I have more faults than you could imagine. I have made several good friends here, and no - Michelle isn't my "friend". If you bother to pull your heads out of your collective arses you'll see that more often that not she ignores my posts, and always has done.

3. You made a *fucking* great album with Joe, and I'm sure the GnR stuff will be good too (sorry if I don't fit in with your gang but I'm not a fan of theirs)

4. Sorry you were used.

5. If your post was not meant to be answered by anybody, why fucking bother?

6. Yes - there *is* love here, and you don't have to shag some famous to find it.

7. twig / guitarzarseholes / whatever other names you use - did you use your boyfriend's login to post that?

8. Finally - yes finally, and I know I fed the Troll, the "joke" wasn't taken to be about infidelity. Only a blinker-wearing psycho-fucked-up troll would see that.

9. OK there's a 9. My friends here - email me. I can't take shit from someone ABUSING her (or her boyfriend's) right to post here for an unnecessary slanging match, for something that a) I didn't do, and b) something that was all imagined. Yeah - white on black sucks, but when someone doesn't UNDERSTAND a fucking joke - that's truly fucked up. It had nothing to do with infidelity, only one unstable person saw it that way. WHAT THE FUCK? I'm outta here.

Maybe my better grasp of the English language did it :-/

PS - If it was really Eric who posted that - it seems you two are VERY well suited. Good fucking luck

Yeah so I resorted to name-calling too, but in this case I really think it's a fucked up psycho something or other, so I have justified myself.

NO NO NO

Please.... no.

Swearing, and general bad vibes going on here..... Guitarzbabe did her best to apologise. She was genuine about her complaint and got offended by it and was right to stick up for what she believed. Likewise you (Phrygian Dominant) stuck up for what you believed. Fine! Fair enough.

But she apologised for any over the top comments she made, and left it at that. She then didn't keep returning to make jokes at your expense.

We've all got our differences on here, differences of opinons, and we've got our similarities. Sometimes differences can be interesting, stimulating and useful. But when people start swearing, and generally abusing each other it takes the fun out of it. And particularly if it was over something sensitive in the first place.

With regards to the term "coloured people" - check out a song called "coloured people" by dc talk. I personally don't care if australians call us brits "poms/however you spell it" nor do i think it's rude to call an american a "yank" - unless i use it in a derogatory sense and make a sweeping generalisations like (for the stereotype) "All yanks are fat and idiots" (which I certainly would not, one of my best friends is American by birth and all the Americans I have talked to (like nonsmoker + megaboyd) and conadians (like plum loco + the clones) have been intelligent and generally cool people to talk to. But if someone said " i don't like being called a yank then I would immediately retract it and explain that I wasn't trying to use it in an offensive way.

Likewise, as far as I see it, guitarzbabe apologised, and then continued to recieve abuse, when what would have hepled and (in my opinion) been fair, would have been to apologise, and make up. Instead of making things better the anti-guitarzbabe gang were proud of their supposed victory.

I don't mean to preach but I've had great conversations with all you guys (particularly sharon- who this rant isn't really directed towards). And i don't think this should change. But i feel it neccessary to stand up for guitarzbabe.

JS Clone 1: I thought I knew all of Steve's melodies, but I can't recall anyone called Burning Rain... There is a Boston Rain Melody (from 7th Song) and a Burning Down the Mountain Melody (from Flexable Leftovers), is it any of them? Or what did I miss??

Kinger: Yeah, I agree, it would be very nice to be in Nevada right now. In Stockholm we have around 5 degrees Celsius, somewhere around 40F I think, and rainy and windy. It's a real bore. I'm gonna make myself a nice mug of hot chocolate right now......
