Mebe i'm just nuts or something but this is somethin i've wanted to see for a while now, i was thinkin maybe a g3 tour but with Satriani (of course (; ) and John Petrucci and Kirk Hammet from Metallica, that would make up for my three favorite bands, of whom i own EVERYTHING any of them have ever put out.... i dunno i was just thinkin that would make a good tour, anyone think i'm insane? >=-)) YtseWolf

michelle -- thank you for sharing that story...life it'self is a gift...and the thought of one's life being taken away from them really sends chills down my spine. hell, i can't even so much as kill a spider that is in my house, i'd have to put it in a plastic cup and bring it outside...

life is precious...in all forms...

michelle- I'm glad to hear your husbands co-worker came through the accident alright, lucky for him that somebody was there to save him, A Christmas present indeed. I am an electrician myself and I know too well the dangers of working on HOT gear. I have lost Brothers in this trade and it's not easy to go back to work after something like that happens. Merry Christmas to you and yours and Dan's family also.

jblaze1- I spoke to jblaze1 on the phone the other day and he says Hello to michelle, clarky, ovation1 and the rest of his friends here at T2J.

Scourge - If it's the guy that played fretless guitar, his name is Ned Evett.

michelle - Thanks for sharing that. I'm glad to hear that everyone is ok.
Ytsejam - That would be a good lineup, but I'd rather see something like Satriani / Morse / Gilbert instead.

Could someone refresh me on where to get good backing tracks from? I know that Clone 2 used some, but I don't remember what information he was given as to where to get them. Thanks all!

It is Stu not boo: lol, I was gonna' say it look's like JOE might have hurt himself with a little whammy abuse, lol!! I second the G3 lineup you got there, lol, Paul would make it very interesting indeed!!

MrNick: Interesting news there..I wonder why John switched to Ernie Ball (was it a couple of yrs. ago??)......Was it an endorsement thing or did Iby not meet his needs?? I realize there's too many Sig's out there in Iby land, and maybe the JPM wasn't selling?? I'm not dissing Ernie Ball in any way, I was just wondering if someone knew the scoop on this.... Kinda' like the PGM300 not selling in the States, and is cut from the catalogs there, but I can buy one here because PG will always sell over here......The JPM was/and still is one badass guitar!!

PhryDom: lol dude my hand is raised ;-)......"Saturday & Sunday" is in the playa' again, lol!!

Artanis1: lol bro', I was trying to be a smartass about Yngwie, lol....

michelle: Thank's for sharing that bad accident/good ending with us....Glad everything is o.k. and you are soo right....Don't take things for granted, and cherish every moment!! That man has a second chance that many people don't get :-)

2 TON TESSIE: Thank's for sharing that info about jblaze1 dude, I hope he has a wonderful holiday season!! And also hope he got that job and condo he was trying for!! Godspeed jblaze1!!

Sorry for the looong post, but it's salow in da' house!!

Peace all, /\/\ike

Logix: lol dude, and JOE got tired of explaining why they Sttoooooooo him, so he got Matt instead to save him some splainin'....j/k ;-)

BTW, what do you guy's think of VAI's new drummer?? The vid. @ his site takes too long to d/l, and I was wondering if this guy will fill the shoes of Mike Mangini?? If that is his drumset in the pic, I don't think so....Only one tom tom....Small kit there, hard to make a presence....hmmmmmmm

On another note........ "Hell's Kitchen" is some of the greatest music ever made by Dream Theater!! That song brings back old memories, lol, John Petrucci was a fantastic choice for G3......He can do it all!!

Nite all, /\/\ike

I think it's kinda cool making up in my head what I think they/we are talking about.... like when you go for a coffee and indulge in some "people watching"... making up stories about the people you see... I know, I'm a butty short of a picnic ;-)

Michelle you're so right... it's both good and bad that sometimes it takes something so scary to make us realise what we should have known all along...

So I've just finished fitting the doggy door in the kitchen doorway... should keep those effing cocker spaniels from crapping on front of my TV and SHOCK HORROR on my MIDI pedalboard!!!!! The damn cheek of it!!!!

Glad you're still listening to it /\/\ikey ;-)

Benny it is a travesty, but like I said I like wondering wtf people sare talking about sometimes!!!!

Right, Lavazza time, methinks... later all, Dave

Mr Nick - I can shout pretty loud... so dont worry about being a 100 or so miles away... you'll hear me ok... lol

ianif - I almost have fond memories of many pub crawls in Dublin.. but I guess that there are loads of folks that almost have memories of Baile Atha Cliath... top party town.... a few years ago I worked there for around 6 months off and on..it was like my second home... a local told me "you're not a bad paddy for an English fokerya".... lol

On the sound card thing... I don't use the PC for any audio at all... I use it only as a sequencer.. the Triton [and a few other rack toys - Akai, Roland] make the sounds, the PC is the musicians and I record onto a 4 - track.

For changing patches and banks via MIDI, you need the manual for the keyboard / processor. It's actually quite simple. In VST32 you can change bank as well as patch. VST24 is a little different. What version of VST are you running?
also make sure that the keyboard is set to receive programme change information. There will be a MIDI channel which behaves like a 'master'. This may try to change the whole patch. Within that patch you will have several sounds each running on a different MIDI channel... it is those channels that you will want to change.... I think that the master channel may be clashing with one of your program channels. Have a mess with it and let me know how you get on.. If you have a bad time, grab the manual for the keyboard and we can meet in a chat room.

ovation - it's going to take 'till 2020 to save up for it... I want it to be totally over the top... I think that real fossilised Raptor claw inlays would be nice... lol and Mammoth tusk for the letters in the headstock... lol
2 Ton - next time you talk to JBlaze say hi from me... he is missed....

Have a great Christmas holiday every one.....
