BTP - Even better... pick up a copy of the Live in San Fransico DVD (if you haven't already) and check out the "BACKSTAGE" footage. Joe basicially runs you right through his entire live rig, so you're getting it straight from da man himself.

Clarky Sorry, what did I say about Birmingham?

Nick Nice one with the beard score. I don't have 6DOIT so I couldn't comment on The Glass Prison. BTW as Vai himself said, "Are there actually any girls who listen to me, who don't play guitar?!"

Ethn.........Happy 300!! Any chance of more head to heads?

Yeah,Ill get to doing more of them, just giving it a little break for now.
Actually,I find that Vai is very popular with the ladies.I dunno if it has anything to do with his guitar playing (lol) but I've seen it a lot first hand.
My uncle thinks the Matrix sequels are gonna bomb.He gets the Dummy of the day award, lol.

The Matrix sequels may not bomb, but they won't be nearly as good as the first one, methinks. That film worked on many, many levels, and was the sort there can only be one of. The sequels will just be Neo and Trinity kicking some agent ass. I doubt if there'll be any decent plot to them, or any of the religious/deterministic references of the original.

Mind St...er, I mean Slick!!! :-)

chocoholic - Happy Birthday!

m54man - Most of Joe's guitars are in standard tuning (EADGBE). One of the necks on his doubleneck guitar is tuned to EEEEEE for New Last Jam. His snake guitar is in drop-D and is used for Friends, Oriental Melody, and (I think) A Train Of Angels. Joe changes his guitars after every few songs even if they're in the same tuning, probably so his guitar tech can retune the ones that were just used.
LGU89 - Yeah, Avril did that. It sucks...I can't stand her, haha.
Z.Z. Satriani is Joe's son. I think he's around 11-12 years old.
BTP - Joe uses a Dunlop 535Q.

RE : Matrix sequels

OK, well I've got my hands on a sort of inside document called the reloaded scriptment - it's a basic scene by scene explanation of what goes on in the first of the sequels... this came out a long time ago and everything in it ties in with what has recently been released about it. You can get it on the net if you search hard enough but the main site that distributed it had to take it down at Warner Bro's request.

Let's put it this way- there is a LOT to these films. Please, if you're interested in Matrix sequels at all....

www.matrixfans.net

I'm "chromeboy" on the forums there... loads of news and information can be found there.

The Local Person - Where would someone like me go to find the "reloaded scriptment" that you mentioned? Do you know of a link with it or should I just search Google?

Joe, you are the first guitarist since Hen to make me cry..you wear your heart on your sleeve and I love it. Keep it up...Joe would you be willing to tell me what equipment I need to get the sounds out of my guitar you get on Flying" or Crystal planet" ... I would be so grateful to actually know what to put together to work that way. I am a guitarist and electronics tech so I'll understand if you abbreviate...heres hoping you'll respond. I am afon (true story)...jayster
