Just picked up the new CD yesterday and it's great! I'm sure you hear this kind of stuff all the time but I wold love to see "New Last Jam" on the radio. What a great hook in that tune. I think it would do well! Also curious as to what mixing software you used for the album? I am using CakeWalk and the picture in the sleave of the computer monitor looked like it had a similar program on it. Thanks for all your music, Satch!!

I'm forcing my parents to take me to Pittsburgh for the show in September...they don't quite understand the beauty of Satriani music, but hey, I've gotta get my fix. I've never been fortunate enough to see a show by any of my musical heroes (Joe, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan), and of course, I never will get to see Stevie. I'm fortunate to get to see Joe and John in one show...I can't wait. TWO WORDS - MIND STORM!!!! Joe...you...are...AMAZING.

Joe, great new stuff. Been a follower since The Extremist. It gets my heart pumping right before I get on the motorcycle. I usually refer to that time as "pre-flight".

Master Joe, I love the new disc. Some of it's strange, much of it's beautiful, and all of it's wicked. I have a question regarding your creative process. In "You Saved My Life", I can hear traces of "Home" and "Love Thing"(all equally beautiful and personal favorites of mine). Are you aware of this when, or after, you create, or is it just a natural coincidence because those are tones, or phrases that you find pleasing, and thus they come out naturally? Do you know that a part may be similar and use it anyway, or do you not even realize it at the time? Or am I listening way too closely? Also, I absolutely love your tone and style on your searing bluesy solos like the one in "Chords of Life", and many from the "Crystal Planet" cd. (I can get a sound very similar with my Brian Moore/ Seymour Duncan Alnico II pickup/ neck position through my Marshall TSL 122) Anyway Joe, with every new disc you continue to inspire and motivate me to attain my goal, while at the same time making my goal all the more unattainable. My goal? To be as good as Joe Satriani.

the internet presale happens tommorrow for Atl show and there is no info about it here or anywhere i can find....it says it will be updated but when?? after the fact does no good...so webmaster get off your butt and find out what we need to do to get access to the get access internet pre-sale for the Atlanta show!!!!...this is too crappy First ticketmaster had no info untill today about the show then they say that there is a pre-sale and there is no clue as to how to get tickets from them...cc ent which is producing or this fansite....so if you dont give info about how to get tickets to Joes show before they go onsale you and your entire site is worthless in reporting news about Joe and should be spurned by every person in Atlanta...so stop farting around and give us the info we need to get tickets in the morning!!!

slide1995 - There's not a merchandise section on this site...sorry. Buy stuff at the shows. :-)

Mr Nick - Whether or not you agree with it, typing in BIG BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS is viewed as shouting on the internet. It's been that way forever...you can't change it. Go with the flow...it'll make things a lot easier.

PhrygDom- I agree with you dude.... sound like yourself. Be yourself. Play like an individual.. trying to learn someone elses music can be very useful from a learning point of view... trying to sound exactly like someone else is completely pointless.............

WEBMASTER the atlanta show presale is tommorrow!!! tickets go on sale to the gen public Friday so if you think Atlantas presale is not till this weekend and have no clue as to what the password is in atl i guess you are useless!! I will just try strange and hope it works...If it dont i will curse you all thursday during the presale untill i get my tickets Fri....I cant even confirm its a gen admission show which would make presale sortta useless...also your new site is SLOW...did you finally take out the merchandise section?..that never sold anything for the past 2 years? You never did print anymore pictures from last years g3 shows..even though plenty of fans sent in some....I sent you pictures of the band from front row for the Atlanta g3 show but you decided to keep a couple of pictures of the backstage pass winners ugly face for the atl pictures...plain laziness....prove to me you have changed your ways and get me and all Joe's Atlanta fans the presale info before it happens....if not prepare to be flamed some more.

Webmaster another thing your page has no clue to the content of Joes listening party...you decribe it as all 14 songs...where in reality it is 3 songs long with a short intro in front of a couple then it repeats itself...do you even listen to this stuff yourself or are you too lazy....wait dont answer that untill you can tell me what the password for the atlanta presale is...i wouldnt want to sidetrack you

hey wiser, here's some quick replies to your not-so-kindly posed questions.

presale tickets - i have been working with joe's tour agency to try and get presale info out to everyone and it's been problematic at best. they are having troubles getting the information from the ticketing sites and you can rest assured i'm doing everything i can to get whatever info i get passed on to everyone as soon as i get it. i understand the frustration that you can experience when trying to get tickets and encourage you to let the ticketing sites know of your experience since that's where the bottleneck appears to be.

listening party - i listened to a few full loops of the entire album before they went up and heard all songs. i assume apple also did their own tests as well. if a problem has developed, please email details to webmaster@satriani.com and i will pass them on to apple/akamai, who will need to fix them.

site speed - i'm aware of a slowness issue if you are reading all existing messages (ie, having used the 'Mark this message as read') and am planning on optimizing that situation shortly. any other problems with speed you may be seeing is likely related to your internet connection with the server. there is a lot of available bandwidth and cpu on my end.

photos - i do have a lot of photos in my email from past shows to add and they will be added. that sort of work got sidetracked in preparation for all of the work in the studio and then for release of the new album and new site. it's all a question of limited time and making priorities :}

btw - joe has succesfully used the automation system i set up for him and jeff (who'll both have cameras on tour) so, time permitting, expect to see some photos from them as the tour progresses!
