noppa: o kee do kee. i just wanted to make sure i didnt miss somethin. good story. but it would have been cheaper if they picked up some playboy...lol....

anyone have any idea the chances of me getting that pass to see joe? the first 100 people to daddys wednesday between 12 and 4? i dont mind taking time off work to try and get one, but if my chances are low, then maybe i should just save myself the letdown?

edit: just called daddys, the guy has no clue how things will go, they've never done this before, but he said that there will be a peavey guy there, and i guess if you try out something he will give you a pass? now how the heck am i gonna pull that off? i dont play? geez, i guess i better get dolled up and bat the eyelashes? or just grab a guitar and pretend? help?!

Hey Noppa, how much you pay for "Lion" record releases in Finland? We pay about $21 Canadian with tax here in Canada. The reason I ask of course is that the label originates in Finland and has replaced Shrapnel (IMHO) as the shredders label of choice, although I must admit, Favored Nations is growing fast!!

Good luck to Saku tonite in game 7!!! We will need some luck here in Toronto, Mats Sundin (our nordic hero) will probably NOT play in game 7 tomorrow!!!

Noppa: We pay depending where we buy. Circuit City or Best Buy will usually cost you between 10 and 14 bucks for new CD's, but places in the mall, Blockbuster, etc. are usually about 16-19. I, needless to say, do a lot of shopping online and in Best Buy.
Tastey: from the few pix I've seen, I'd say go with batting the eyelashes. That should work very nicely ;-)

Repulicans...they drive me nuts....and some democrats too...

I have to say I am not too impressed by ITLIS. There really isnt even one tune that sticks to my heads and nothing's catchy. Should I call this an experimental album? Because I feel like he experiments in Searching (the longest one), Lifestyle and I like the rain (singing with distorted and harmonized vocals), If I could fly (the acoustic guitars are very evident) and other stuff that I have not discovered yet. The first three songs do not impress me at all. I think they were just fillers. I really wanted to hear little more spacy and ambient stuff. The title track should not have had all that wah. I have never been into wah-wah too much, but there are songs of JS that have used the wah approriately. I think this album needs a few more listens before I get used to it.

man april 13th was SOOO awesome! joe was at tower records in ...where else but CONCORD, CA!? we (sugarbear and our baby) got to meet satch himself it was so cool! he called our baby an angel and said she had deep blue eyes. :) yay! i have pictures with him on my website now and man i am so pissed that i forgot to get something signed! (we got a cd and guitar signed for a girl that got bumped out of the line, but nothing of our own grrrr)

but anyways getting to meet joe was awesome. he's such a nice guy. i even told him about being in labor the night he played at the concord/chronicle pavillion in concord in october. he was like "whoah that's cool" :-D he even said that he missed having a baby that age (6 months) and said "z.z. won't let me hold him anymore...he's 11." hehe

GOD BLESS AND DON'T FORGET TO LISTEN TO SATCH!

I put my strings in "back to front", so the ball-end is up at the machinehead and the excess is looped there, the straight end goes down to the bridge (on the wound strings I have to cut the exposed core away before I lock them in). Anyway, I just picked up my guitar for a quick plink and snapped the top E - I've not snapped a string in yonks - anyway, all I need to do now is unlock the bridge & nut and feed down a little more length from the coiled excess.

And I have no idea why I told you that.

Happy monday (duh-dit-duh du-duh-duh-du du-duh etc) to one and all. Dave

Hey Joe -

Is there love in space? I'm looking forward to hearing it soon. I like how its title fits the stream of consciousness. I understand that the covenant of love is confirmed with three words (111x7; in other words, 'one seven'). Can you make a song with just four words?

INRI as Light (Holy Gate), 270

ABRAHADABRA as Liberty (Passage to the Lord, Passage to...), 418

AGLIULA as Law (Infinite Space - [see http://www.ssaa-opq.com]), 81

AHB as Love (and Love), 8 ___ 777

Thank you for playing the Dallas Guitar Show, Joe! It sucked that things couldn't come together for you & the band, but it was more than made up for when you & Andy Timmons jammed together there at the end. I really enjoyed watching you guys play, and would like to see more of it (like putting Timmons on the G3 tour, hint hint!) in the future. Again thanks for playing a smaller venue because I know everyone there loved the show!

Michelle - no I did it on the accordian... some big German guy with a flannel shirt and suspenders jumped out of his chair and started doing a jig. He gave me one of his signature steins at the end... it said on it: "The only thing worse than drinking to forget... is forgetting to drink!" ;-)... wasn't that your old motto?

paper, rock, scissors... blah, just use dynamite, wins every time! oh the tricks you learn when your young...

Stu Clone - "Meanwhile in the Bat Cave"... your movie quotes are entertaining. If this was a gameshow, you'd get 7 and a half gold stars, or points, or a mini cooper. Who you jammin' with by the way, it's not Anuj and the boys is it? Edit: ah crud... forgot you were in Seattle ;-P.

Sweet!! Waynes World 1 & 2 box set DvD on sale for 28 bucks canuck funds. Schawiiinnnnng!!

Todd24tx - hey man, how was that Dallas Guitar show? I heard that Andy and Joe's jam rocked!! What about Keaggy, Johnson, and Lynch? Were they pretty tight yesterday too?

Mikey Vai - Have a good week playing with airplanes bro... lol, ;-)...

Joe - I'm still waiting for Is there Love In Space, but I've been listening to the self-titled (red) album. Can recommend you do more funk/blues tunes like that?! That cd truely rocks...

Andy Timmons for G3
