There is no such thing as an "illegal" topic of conversation where I come from. I respect you and realize that we're off the beaten path; But I'm just one person thinking. We are not wasting away; we're digging, and where I come from, that's o.k.

I think I've mentioned this here before, but I listened to the self-titled album from Bela Fleck & The Flecktones again today. This is another one of those albums that I think everyone should have. So go buy it! ;-)

alexandrecaetano - I agree with you...John Petrucci is a really nice guy. I met him back on the G3 2001 tour and got a few autographs and a picture. My picture with Joe Satriani from the same night is up on this site, but if anyone wants to see my picture with John Petrucci just email me privately and I'll send it to you.

cromeboye - Your question has been answered several times: http://www.theskyliner.com/
Narface - I'd buy Vai's Jewel Box now. It looks like a lot of the box CDs are being released through either FN or Sony as well, but there are also a few discs that are exclusive to the box. It's also a limited edition thing. If you wait until all 10 discs have been released, there may not be any boxes left to purchase.

...Austin...

Trutina - thanks for listening - its appreciated

962 - yer I really want to be doing original stuff but I cant get started!! I have decided to continue learning as much material as possible for the time being until i can develop my own sound, at teh moment if i write something it is pretty much always a non starter! I seem to have an inability to create melodies it tends to sounds like mindless playing! - I tend to try and steer clear of guitar mania now in all honesty. I did get my guitar there but strings picks etc all are got cheaply off the net and they are quite overpriced compared to a lot of other places.

Aarren - cheers for taking the time to do ceremony!! that was pretty quick! I will give it a listen when i get home tonight!

Hope everyone else is cool!

Olly

I am here for the same reason however I was distracted. Forgive me . If you already play guitar then the whole point of that is to have personal success weather you ever have an audience or not. What you're looking for is already inside of you and you must continue to develope it and it will bring you happiness weather or not it brings you money.

Michelle Fiiiiinallly indeed (phew) it was a long time coming but worth the wait ;-)

GregThanks man, it is reputed to be one of the big stressers in life but after waiting for several months its too much like hard work being stressed any longer ;-)

AxmanJr I had a D Tuna on a Kramer it worked ok-ish but I wouldn't say that it went exactly back into tune, not far out though. Probably the wrong person to comment though, I took it off cos I don't play drop tunings too often.

Trutina With your record for concussion, you should have mentioned the balance between concious and unconcious. Checked out your tune man, don't be so hard on yourself - I liked it, nice sound as well.

Alexandre Wow, meeting JP and the boys outside of a 'gig' situation is very cool. ;-)

Dave roflmao man, nice to see that the venom is stil dripping from the fangs - heh heh

Narface Man this sucks, Duane Allman used to use a specific type of pill bottle as a slide, something like a paracetamol bottle, I had it a magazine that I threw out 2 days ago.............. arrrrrggggghhhhh, sorry man.

Ovation Nice to be back Mike, this place has got busier, Ithink its going to be hard work trying to keep abreast of the chatter - lol

jblaze - welcome back bro.... missed yer....

tapper - When I've completed the ablum recordings I'll go through all of the part of the quartet and score them... now that'll be a nice little test for me.
Artanis - lol.. the reason the Raft is geting the mention is because it's the one I'm recording right now... in a week or two I'll be recording Requiem....

Maybe I should rename it to Requiem of the Requiem just to be consistent... lmao

jf - who is Kurt Cobain.... he's not on my top 100 list... lmao...
pizza man - I'll have a pint of what you're drinking...
ovation - I took Wrath appart last night... gave her a good seeing to [easy tiger ! ! ].. took the bridge completely appart which was then cleaned, de-burred, greased, re-assembled [and had no screws left over which is amazing].. the frets got a nice polish and the fingerboard got a drop of lemon oil... I stretched in the strings and reset the intonation etc so that she could put her best foot forward when the little red light comes on....

Anyways, by the time I was done it was way too late to start recording but I obviously needed to take her around to block a few times to 'play-out' the remaining slack and make sure that everything is as good as can be....

me and Wrath are getting it on to the new backing track to the Raft..
my god.... she felt so nice... the vibes were so good... and I totally blew myself away... I felt as though I had so much time to get to the next note... the resolution in my playing just hit a new level... it was just awesome.. the only sad part is that I knew that I couldn't record it as I just wouldn't have enough time to get it done.... so I just played and played... and I didn't want to stop... what a fealing... it's nice when that happens...

Narface: I'd go ahead and get the box now. It might not be available when all the discs finally come out.

Ethn: I don't know what to tell you about your pudding issue man. Perhaps a battle between Yngwie and pudding will help. How many people would rather eat pudding (any flavor) than listen to Yngwie? Pudding-1 Yngwie-0

And the reason I say that isn't because I hate Yngwie. I have a great deal of respect for him as a player. The man just sweats talent. There are a few of his songs that just blow me away. But I've never been a fan of his tone. To thin sounding, not enough nuts in it for me. Not to mention the fact that I really like pudding.

Ovation; Yeah, "Forever Groove" might make a good album title for me someday lol

Artanis I: Can I stop nodding now? My neck is getting a little sore. Makes it hard to smile too. If I wasn't chewing gum and walking while doing that it would have been a little easier on me lol

r6rocker: LOL man, I can't believe I didn't think of that! And on my tune, thanks, but I had much higher hopes for it. I need to practice my tapping. A lot.

Clarky: Sounds like a good evening man. One of those nights where your fingers are connected with the cosmos and all is wonderful. A great escape from daily troubles.

I was just at vai.com and I saw that they added a new show to the G3 tour list. They are going to do another show at the Beacon Theater in NYC on the 11th I think. The night after the first show there, so they're doing 2 consecutive show at the Beacon in NYC.
