Let me bring you up to times guitarzebabe! They are not "colored people"!! Before you talk about how non-prejudice you are, use politically correct English!!

clarky..ok dude...one problem with the jam...we aren't in the same part of the country..but..as i said..hopefully i can get into the ACM..i heard you around that part of the country cos you were going to jam wioth master yoda while he was down there... how about Joe's record company? and favoured nations could let you on board....send the bad horsie thing to steve vai and i'm sure he'll be impressed enough to at least send the contract thru the post. :)

big_navy..slick cant be found on any cd...its a bonus track for sbm that hasn't been released...we just have to wait and see what happens to it and where its going to appear.

Kinger - the Talking to Stones story is about a guy that was hounded so seriously for money by the Child Support Agency [because he and his wife split] that he ended up living in a squalid bed sit whilst his ex-wife and kid [and her new fella] enjoyed a very nice life style at his expence... he was happy to pay for his kid - everything that was needed and some more on top... but the ex + the CSA took it way too far... eventually he couldn't take it and killed himself.... a close pal of mine [Lee CZ] got very upset whilst sitting by his grave shouting at the grave stone mad as hell... "why did you bottle it all up inside... why did you not talk to us.... we would have listened.. would have helped... you bastard..".. and then the rage stopped and he just felt totally gutted....... The track tries to capture the futility and sadness of the moment... and the enormous price paid for being to proud to ask for help....
the original version of this song had lyrics and I intended to present it to my band. All of the chord progressions were the same but it was mostly on accoustic... a kind of 'Wish You Were Here' vibe... I taught the band the song but could not bring myself to sing it... it was too disturbing to me... so I changed it into an instrumental....... when I listen to it I shudder.. the power of music in combination with such a tragic event.... maybe one day I'll play it live....

crippler - VBIL / Avarice is a drummer.... can't play a note on the guitar... which is why he found his experiment on y'all even funnier than it was... what you are convinced of bothers me not... I'm tired of having to explain my involvement in this prank... I no longer care...
phryg dom - Barry [prman] is a very close pal of mine... up until a few months ago we used to live a few miles appart... now it is more like 100... Barry was with me at Jemfest the other weekend... he's been very busy of late [right now he is in Japan]... mail him and gently remind him that you are still pretty interested in getting a copy of the CD.. I'm sure that he's just forgot all about it [and knowing what he's had to do in the last 6 months it comes as no surprise].. he most likely gladly oblige...

I know who Avarice/VBIL is... and he's quite a guy... he's a bit of a genius type.. very clever but with a crazy streak... and I made a promise to him to reveal nothing... it is a promise so I'll keep it... he is not those guys / molten lava etc... I know where that comes from too... think of that as an 'anti-Avarice'... old news these days.... nuff sed... time to move on

death cube - what is the nature of your rut... explain and I'll find a way out fo you....

Hi joe, I just got into your music from my girlfriend's dad, who probably is the biggest fan of yours that i know to date. Anyway, his 50th birthday is coming up on Oct. 15th, 2002. And me and my gf don't know what to get him. Since he loves your music and stuff, I was wondering if you could plan something in the future to call him and talk to him to wish him a happy birthday or meet him sometime and jam on the guitar. He plays the guitar also and he is rather good. We went to your's and dream theater's concert when you guys came to pittsburgh and you should've seen the smile on his face. I know this would make his 50th really special if you could do this. If you can't, I understand, I mean, I'm just a 16 year old fan from Pittsburgh. But, if you could let me know somehow that would be great. Thanks for reading this and hopefully you can make his big 5-0 special. Your fan, Mark

QUESTION : If Satch were to do a G3 tour next year, who would you have as a third guitarist? (assuming steve vai did as well) Back your choice up with reasons...

For example - My choice is John Petrucci, since it's best to have three genuine rockers out there. Or my choice is Eric Johnson as he is on the jazz side of rock, which balances out the crazy rock of Vai and the Bluesy rock of Satch, and he solos tastefully.

Man, you guys, your replies to youknowwho, makes me feel like I wasted a few mins of my time writing that shit!!! Ah well, I guess trolls will always be trolls :-/

George Lynch for G3! (Backup - because he's amazing!) Or Scott Dalhover (Backup - because he's amazing and not even under-rated)!!!! And Eric Sardinas can open, so I can turn up late ROFL!!!!

I'd like to say, that even though I have not been a part of this gigantic family that we all are for very long, that 99.9% percent of you (the .1% being me :) are some of the most intelligent and talented people I have ever known. And I can't even put a face on most of you.

For the love of our favorite guitar player, we should forgive and forget....

Ovation 1, what is EVO? (told ya I was the .1%..lol)

Joe, glad you made it home safely. I'm hoping I get to meet you when you stop in MN....I have a giant Hendrix tapestry that I bought when I was 15 (18 years ago), that I would love to have your autograph on. The tapestry is of Jimi lighting his guitar on fire at the Monterey Pop Festval. See you on Dec. 5th.............Dave

I'm a pretty new fan of yours and was just wondering, i heard from somebody that you taught Steve Vai, is that true? anyways thanks for the patience and time. later.

Hey Joe, Welcome back! I am very envious of your tour. I would love to go to these places one day. I am the guy you were talking to in Atlanta that has met you 7 or 8 times before in Scotland. I gave you a CD. I don't really expect you listened to it - I'm sure you get many. Actually, it wasn't me on there but one of the world's greatest guitar players (unknown in the USA) - Roy Marchbank. The guy is incredible. I really think you would enjoy his playing. I can send you a CD if you want one. Roy is in my new band, seven brass monkeys (co-incidently SBM) alng with other great players who have a lot of notariety in Europe. One toured with The Corrs and turned down Bowie to keyboard tech a few months ago. Been in every eastern country and most european TV\radio shows. Yea - I'm trying to get you to hear Roy's stuff - not for any reason than he is up there with you and its an amazing experience. I have a web site with tunes but don't want the whole group to have access to that just yet. Anyway, if you want to hear, let me know. If not, no problem. Welcome back!

Ronnie

PhrygianDominant - Avarice's identity still remains a secret? Nah...I'm Avarice. LOL...I'm probably the one person on this board least likely to be him...

Number1 Student - It's cool that you're keeping your eyes open, but that guitar is actually a JS 10th anniversary model. It's a chrome JS guitar that was commercially available.
The Local Person - I'd love to hear a Jeff Beck / Jimmy Page / Joe Satriani G3 show. That would be so awesomely unbelievable. Keeping things more realistic, I wouldn't mind seeing a Ty Tabor (the guy from King's X, right?) / Steve Vai / Joe Satriani show.

Austin: I think the least likely person to be Avarice on here (apart from Joe & Jon of course) would be JSClone1. After all, it was between those two that all the conflicts centred and originated! Unless we have some bizarre kind of Wolf2/Cherries interaction...

Phrygian Dominant: I have some advice: we could possibly let sleeping dogs lie. Could be a plan...just thought I'd say...

Clarky: as long as you're not "A-snivelling-little-rat-faced Git" however "A-snivelling-little-rat-faced Watson" is not much better, is it? (One for the Monty Python fans...)

Michelle: PB = peanut butter? Or personal best? Personal Best sandwich, that's got to be it!

PS Clarky those symbols didn't show up properly on my machine unfortunately. They worked before! Honest! Honest, mum!
