MÖTLEY CRÜE Singer Says Reunion Tour Could Last Three Years
MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil recently spoke to Steve Morse of the Boston Globe about the group's "Red, White, and Crüe 2005...Better Live Than Dead" reunion tour.
''Many bands today have no sense of entertainment," said Neil. ''And if you're going to pay $70 a ticket, you need to be entertained, rather than going to see a bunch of guys just standing around."
Tickets have been selling briskly, according to the band.
''We've added another 50 shows and [promoters] want us to add another 50 after that," said Neil. ''That would mean we'd end up with 152 shows in the U.S. alone. It's been pretty amazing. A lot of the fans grew up with us, but they're also bringing kids who are 8, 9, and 10 years old. The kids are dressed in MÖTLEY CRÜE shirts and are curious about what this thing is all about."
Tabloid writers have tried to stir up gossip by saying the band members are traveling in separate buses, portraying it as a sign of friction. ''Separate buses are just more comfortable," said Neil. "Nikki [Sixx, bass] has five kids and he needs some space. And Tommy [Lee, drums] needs space when his kids are out with him."
So is there a future for MÖTLEY CRÜE?
"Right now, we're just touring — and this tour could last as long as three years," said Neil. "After it ends, we'll take some time off, then decide if we want to do a new record. That would be great, but if not, we at least had a fun tour."

Stevie T- Another real good Bonamassa cd is Blues Deluxe. The song Blues Deluxe will tear your head off. There is a really cool volume swell technique on this song. The baby finger wraped around the volume knob thing. Check out Indigenous. Visit them @ www.indigenousrocks.com. Let me know what you think.
Michelle- Like I said before your humour is great. I was crackin' up like crazy. I think what happened is your P's hit the redial or a speed button and called by accident. This happens to me all the time with my Nextel. I bump a button and get-" If you would like to make a call please hang up" voice. Thats funny. lol.....
It's 5:00pm in Chi Town and TGIF. Have great weekend!!!
Later Satchland

For settings on the JSX amp
1-Set it on top of a 4x12
2-Set it in some type of case while on tour
3-Never set it upside down or on it's side
O and never set it in water :)
I made some changes to my website

Anybody got a floating trem? I just bought an RG350 and every time I get the thing in tune, the back of the bridge is up 1/4 - 1/2 inch. I tried the methods on the Jem site and Ibanez tech website, but nothing is working. I know there has to be a trick to it but I have yet to get it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

kd6aaj:
Thanks for all of the info so far, I am working on the issue as I write (in between key taps). The info about the wavelength is excelent, brilliant. I do have some understanding of EMI as I have nearly completed my BSEE but it has been a while.
All of these suggestions are very good and I am implementing as many as make money sense to me.
EMF is infinite but power reduces proportionately as you leave the source. Even if you are 100 miles away you can detect the signal to an extent, thats what antennas are for, as you know.
You are right about the guitar acting as an antenna, from what I have read nearly any conducting material in the EMF path is an antenna. I forgot about waveguides and the wavelength thing.
I have read alot of info on this issue, goto http://www.audiosystemsgroup.com/publish.htm for more.
"Sound is definitely at lower frequencies than RF, so I say coils (chokes) are probably useless for this particular problem."
Sound is much lower in frequency but the issue is the carrier wave not the sound you hear. While the broadcast is at say 560KHz the sound it carries is going to be 20 to 20KHz. The filter is to reduce the voltage and or current of the broadcast signal not the sound it is carrying. However by eleminating the broadcast signal you clear any sound it was carrying as well.
There has been much research in the way of ferrite toroids. What I am concerned about overall is whether I can totally eleminate the AM signal being so close to the tower. The extreme point of view is that I can, but at what cost? If I need to do so much work that I may as well have built a Faraday/Tesla cage then my decision is clear, MOVE AWAY FROM THE ANTENNA.
Please keep throwing me ideas if you have more, many times it takes a second pair of eyes as they say to get to the bottom of it. Like I said I had forgotten the wavelength thing.
I will check back here often for updates and such.

While I may have been a bit educated in Electrical Engineering I am by no means an engineer, yet.
I have seen some examples of using toroids but not with pictures or simple circuit schematics.
Do I place the Toroid in the signal path aka Tip in an unbalanced TS config. and run it in series, signal to signal? Or do I set it like a decoupling transformer from Tip to Sleeve on the guitar side and then run another winding on the same toroid from tip to sleeve on the equipment side giving me a 1:1 Tranformer/filter?
Without an example I am not sure which config I am supposed to use.
Help please.
Thanks

Bahduh: "no equivalent just like joe with the guitar" so it seems! Well, my take on the Pakis is that anything could happen, so watch out!
Gilly just got 91 from 61, New Zealand are being slaughtered. To think they are #2 in the world?!? How I wish we had it on TV. At least we'll get to see the Ashes. Aussies 5/347, Ponting 141* (10 4s, 5 6s). Well done to New Zealand if they can beat that.
Zenfish: I'll keep a look out for references to DrumisanArt then.
Estrela: I'm interested in seeing what this May 2 post will be that everyone is talking about! Surely they can't have meant March 2?
Civgeek: "They have no idea what a drought is!!!" when it's been 3 years since it's rained, that's a drought.
Dad Guitarthy: wicket! May 1000 night's sleeps come at once, just to get you ahead.
Road trip tonight. 2 Gigs tomorrow in different cities.
