Silent Shady: Well, thanks for being honest......I know who my friends are now. Honesty is the best policy. Maybe I won't come back, so you can have it all to yourselves. Happy?

Brother Al: you know i love u........lol! Don't miss me too much! Sorry to intrude where I'm not welcome. I can take a hint.

edit: kiss my ass!

Al, it's not just Mari....everyone wants yer arse!!! LOL! Still singin?

Mari, happy to have helped make you laugh!! I imagine we'll be there when you can pop into the chat....no telling what we'll come up with in there next........ lol!!! Have a good week g'friend! And of course, as always, pay no attention to that shady character......

Steven. Man...hard to know what to say to you...I guess just that you need to take care of yourself and get help to kick your addiction..you can't do it alone so reach out. I'll be praying for you to find your way. If I could see you, I'd prolly kick yer arse and hug you all at the same time. Take care...

People in the chat already know this....but I went white water rafting on the Umpqua River last Saturday...it was the BEST thing I ever did other than to go see Joe play live!!! I'm still smiling and happy from it and can't wait to go again in a few weeks....I might need to give up my real job and become a professional guide someday....if you've never been and get the chance, DO IT!!! You won't be sorry!

And today I made a discovery....at the beginning of Hands in The Air, after the intro guitar and right when the drums start, you can hear someone (Jeff maybe??) give a shout!! I never heard it before on my stereo, but today with headphones, there it was!! Just fun....

Is anyone else getting excited about the coming months? We've got a Japan G3 DVD AND a new Joe cd coming out, plus new signature products from Joe......wheeeeehooooo! Things just keep getting better and better!!

JOE!! We love ya!! Looking forward to the future and whatever it brings!!

Al: I know u want to kiss my ass so I thought I'd make your day. Hehe! See Yah baby!!

Peace!

Al my Fred sounded thin thin thin :-( that's why I sold it... not sure what Joe used on those albums / not sure when the Fred became available... but I'll put a quid on it having a LOT to do with the stuff after the guitar speaker.... I remember for NOTE and SWTA him and Cliff used vintage Neve preamps for the mics for example....
but woe is me... I've had a hard disk fail on me.... big time.... I've lost everything I've written and recorded this year :-(( I guess someone somewhere is telling me it wasn't good enough.... if any of you have any snippets I've sent you (I know of a few people) please send them back so I can try and do something about it... click my name for my email addy... thanks guys.... and apart from that there's a s**tload of Johnny I've probably lost too! ARGH!!!!!! (Johnny is cockney rhyming slang btw).... laters.... time to cook burgers and drown my sorrows in grease and fat and stuff while watching Harry Palmer.....

yea thats what i wana shy away from! thin sounds, i wana fat ass thick tone inbetween Vai's and joe's Evo's seem to have Huge output, and less warm tones,

u heard my soundclip right? thats my tone now i kinda like it, it can be a bit to fat at times, but the pickups im gettin are red, and im going thru trouble gettin them so i gota make the right choice, the sound of a PAF pro in the neck sounds nice But i dont know about the fred =/

need all the advice i can get!

Perceived output level: Higher side of middle-output. Very responsive to p/u height adjustments, so you can make the output relatively low if you want. Tone: VERY well balanced. Sonic evaluation: I have used this pickup with a variety of amplifiers. When you first get this pickup, you will sound a little too much like Joe Satriani. This is because the FRED has a very unique sound, and since Joe Satriani uses this pickup, you'll pick it out immediately. With more experience, however, you will be able to twist your guitar's volume and tone pots and dial in countless sounds. It is ridiculously responsive to your volume and tone controls. Volume high/tone low will accent the pickup's bassy tones. Volume low/tone low is very very clean and warm. Volume low/tone high is very rich in the sonic spectrum and produces something on the brighter side of warm. Volume high/tone high produces a sound rich in harmonics. It seems very bright, but it breaks up *just a little*, producing a sound that is both bright and warm at the same time. Not VERY bright, and not the WARMEST, but a fantastic combination of both. It's a unique sound.

I like that review on it!! sounds liek what i want, but theres others saying it not as good.......

OCPS-Maybe.The dvd was pretty thorough about what he was about though, so I dunno.

I liked that he had Brett Garsed on the DVD.That guy rules.

Matt King-Cool to see you are doing well man, stop by more often.
Regarding the Megadeth-Ellefson thing-You should see what he tried to do to Mustaine-Say what you want about DMustaine, but I think he is on the right side on this one.

mikesb, agreed, Billy Sheehan really is a good player, and he's a good improvisor too.

Big Bunny, yeah, you know, that's a very good point.....if they were watching him for so long how did they not notice before they shot him that he wasn't their man?!
JS_JS, try anything from the Harmonic Minor family, which includes things like Double Harmonic and Spanish Gypsy scales.
Brother Al, dude, I don't know who told you the Tone Zone is between an Evo and a PAF Pro, but I'd disagree entirely. It's very hot and got plenty of bass and treble, but lacks the fat mids you require to get the warmth you're after.

I tired one in my (mahogany-bodied) SA1260, bridge position, and you couldn't hear the mid-tones of a chord at all, it was horrible. I've now got a Norton in there and it is beautiful. It's a very nice open, fat, warm sound with some bite too.....it doesn't get muddy under high gain. I don't know how different it will be in a guitar with a non-mahogany body, but it's tonal characteristics suggest that it will be much the same.

And yes, F spacing does make a difference. Not so much with the neck pickup, but definitely in the bridge position.

mari, thanks, I'm 258 motnhs old and I was born on a tuesday! You learn something new every day! Also, my tree is a Fir Tree aparrently, which is cool, I guess!

I'm not happy about this life-path stuff though, aparrently I'm a materialistic loner who, as long as I remain positive (?!?) will be succesful in business!

Great, so I'm not allowed to have any friends then?! haha. I'm not big on numerology anyway :-P

PhryDom hey Big Bunny the more the merrier! :-)

I wasn't condoning what the police did, but the news mentioned that the guy ran when told to stop, more than once, and he also jumped over the barriers to get onto the train.... like I said I wouldn't know what must have been going through their heads........

that's ok man, i wasn't condoning what the cops did too, but then i guess they were only doing what they were trained to do - someone must have told them to go after the guy, isn't there a brain behind all the guys out on foot making sure they got the right info. if you're told by superiors that someone is a terrorist & they run when you tell em to stop, your trained to pull the trigger

962 Big Bunny, yeah, you know, that's a very good point.....if they were watching him for so long how did they not notice before they shot him that he wasn't their man?!

actually i think either you or Phrydom pointed that out before me :D i just can't remember who it was doh! - but that means that for 2wks they were watching the wrong guy!! so meanwhile the real baddies are moving around planning their next attack - that sux

Zinc Master Farmer killed by falling cow
..................................................................................................She said the cow, named Lara, had been very meek and that even children could milk her without fear. The newspaper did not say what had become of the cow.

ZM can you find out what became of Lara!!! I won't be able to sleep tonight if she's not ok - the girl needs counselling, she's just accidently killed her owner!!!

aussieRGman BigBunny thanks for your kind words mate

no probs RG :) *hug*

bahduh bigbuny,,,,hello...how are yu sis?? i'm doing ok thanx brother in Christ :) I pray that your son will get better soon, babies arn't too fond of needles so when the doc is with him put your fingers up in the shape of a bunny & go 'look at the bunny! look at the bunny!' it works well on adults ;)
