Austin: I asked the tech help desk guy if they would install some DVD viewing capabilities, and the answer was no. Basically because it's for recreational purposes, and Mr X (name changed to protect identity) is a control freak who likes to tie down the users. They went troppo when they discovered we'd found a loophole to change the desktop background in our windows accounts.

OCPS470 - Happy Birthday! You were born on the same day as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, although he has a few years on you (he's 55). You also get to share your birthday with the anniversary of the crazy Heaven's Gate cult thing from 1998. :-(
Chess Music - There are a few reasons for that... California is a bigger state than Michigan, so it makes sense for him to play more shows here. Also, Joe lives in California, which makes him more popular in this area. And finally, the population of Michigan and the population of Los Angeles county are almost the same...and LA is only a small part of the state.
Isaac 19 - Yeah, that's easy... Oh wait, you don't have 6 fingers on each hand? ;-) It looks like a tough one. I don't play guitar (I play bass), but I guess you'd barre the 8th fret with your first finger, play the 10th fret with your middle finger, and flatten your pinky finger to play the notes on the 12th fret. Man...it hurts just thinking about it...LOL. Maybe someone knows a better way to play that.
...Austin...

matt king..t2joe project...would be nice to hear a new song from you.
artanis 1...you haven't heard of them?? you've got to..whispering a prayer is the most beautiful song ever!!
isaac_19..i think we had that chord a while ago from that very site.
kinda hard to play..but its possible.
looks whispering a prayer as won....5-3 i think the final score is...how about a closer one :
Whispering A Prayer v For the Love of God
closer than before..but i think whispering does for me again (just)..
1-0 to whispering at the moment.

Hi!
Isaac 19- That's a hard one! After trying for some minutes now I finally got a clear sound! :) But I can't do it by flattening the pinky on the 12th fret cause it mutes the 1st string... so I use the 3rd finger istead, cause that one is easier to bend so that it doesn't touch the 1st string. Anyway, my hand hurts. :p
Why are you talking about cars in a Joe Satriani site?!? lol! Here's something I saw yesterday on a shop. Didn't have the time to try it, nor the money to buy it (something like 1825 euros) , but I had time to look at it, and it looks great!! NO! IT'S NOT A CAR!!! IT'S A f****in' beautiful, shark shaped GUITAR!!!!!! :)
But I still prefer my JS, though. :)

Dilemma of the day.
You are the President of the U.S.A. and you've just learned that there is an asteroid headed for France that will wipe out Paris entirely. It is scheduled to hit about 2.30 a.m. in just two days time from now.
You have enough ships and military personnel nearby to evacuate them safely, but they are on stand-by as reinforcements for the war with Iraq.
Your question: do you set the VCR to record the asteroid hitting Paris, or do you stay up to watch it live?
CLARKY - Where's my beer!
OVATION - Mmmmmm, Brolly Dollies as they're known at the bike races............. can't beat all that spandex !
