The show in Seattle was Great! The whole band was at the top of their game! Loved it! The opening act (Black Stone Cherry) was awesome as well. Gonna pick up their CD! I feel like I have to apologize for the Seattle crowd, though it was typical. It seems even if you kick them in the ass with awesome music, they're content to sit and clap. So .... don't take it personal. you guys rocked! That's just the way they are:)

The 'Foot really rocked Portland! I have to share this little story...

There are some memories you'll take with you your entire life, and I know this will absolutely be the case for this 12-year old kid standing next to me in the front row right at the stage on June 3rd in Portland.

Joe and Sammy spent a generous amount of time over at the left side of the stage where I was. While Joe was there during one of the songs, he sees this kid rocking out to the song, and during one screaming harmonic squeel, he kneels down with his guitar right in front of the kid and points at his whammy bar. Of course the kid responds and reaches up, grabs the bar and gives it a bit of tremolo. He also gave him a high-5, and tossed down a few of his guitar picks (probably about five of them!).

I thought it was *extremely* cool of Joe to do that for this little guy. The impression this must have made will stick with him for a lifetime.

To Joe: You're one classy Rock Star. :) I'm so glad you made it to Portland with Chickenfoot. And, I really hope the next American G3 tour makes it out here as well, you'll see me in the front row!

Hey Joe,

Just want to say thanks again for coming down to Melbourne for the G3 this year.

I had a VIP pass and got to ask you a question that day. You most definitely won't remember but I asked you a real lame question like...

"have you ever had moments where you just don't sound good playing the guitar"

... really what I was trying to ask was some inspirational words from my guitar hero!! Nevertheless I'm glad I got to meet and talk to you!!

BTW you MUST play LORDS OF KARMA as part of your regular set. I've seen you in Melbourne 4 times now and this I have yet to hear live. Wish you could sing 'I BELIEVE' and 'CANT SLOW DOWN' as well.

Thank you.

Fan since the 90's.

PortlandAxe, from our handicap seats which were near the front of the mezzanine we could see everything below us. We couldn't tell the age of the person that played with Joe on that side of the stage. On the other side of the stage by Michael, Sammy kept signing stuff for the people in the front row and he gave the mic to a guy to shout the "Oh Yeah" during that song. I wish the show could of been a little longer 3 or so more songs.

@bluebuffalo: Yeah Sammy was being really cool about signing stuff for people. He eventually signed my Chickenfoot tour t-shirt that I had laying down on the front of the stage also over on the left side.

I do also think the show could have been a bit longer. Two hours was over way too quickly! :)

Hey...Check these Chickenfoot photos out! I would like to see your pics too! I took a couple I really like...enjoy...hard to believe Joe hit me with a pick in the 8th row...cool show , the band was tight. Sammy made reference to the band must have been rehearsing without him lol , I think Joe had something to do with that. Sammy sounded the best that I have heard him with Chickenfoot , Joe was his awesome self , Michael was great , could actually hear what he was playing. A very good bass player. Kenny was impressive , enjoyed his playing!

Black Stone Cherry was good but played louder than Chickenfoot..had my earplugs buried deep...sucked because they played a good set...wasn't impressed with the volume.

You signed my JS1000 in Austin Texas and said one day you would like to hear the story on why TERRANOVA was written on the back of my Guitar. "Just my family Italian name means "new earth" My band is called "Big Noyzz" members been togather for over 25 years. You are my favorite guitarist and my Idol. Never miss any of your shows in Houston.

I want to know what effect you are using on "Oh Yea" where the guitar suddenly thickens?

Hi Joe.

May I just start with saying that the G3 tour you did in Brisbane not too long back was the most amazing concert of my life. It was my first time seeing you live and it will definitely not be the last. You are such an inspiration to my guitar playing and my life.

Its unfortunate that you do not give lessons anymore, though, I guess I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway, as demanding as it would be, I just can't find a good guitar teacher in the area of Australia I am in and whenever I read interviews or advice from you that I find on the Internet, I am instantly inspired. You have no idea how much inspiration I would be able to find from a 30 minute guitar lesson.

Oh well, I guess my main question is: Why don't you play If I Could Fly live? I can't find any live videos of the song anywhere and you never seem to play it in any shows recently. It's my favourite song and I was just wondering if there was a particular reason?

Thanks for reading,

Jayden
