Just like to say that I'm new here, and generally a metalhead. My favorite bands include Metallica, Megadeth (I've got tattoos), Mudvayne, GNR, Maiden, etc.. But Joe is absolutely the best guitarist ever. Being a drummer myself, I think Jeff Campitelli is very underrated and awesome. Anyways, keep it up Joe, and ANYBODY GOT ANY IDEAS FOR A SATCH TATTOO? Rock on.

DELPHINO - Went back through my posts and wasn't quite sure what question it was that I asked that you answered. Secondly what is an Ergo? you sounded very excited ...
DO THE STU - Who in England knows what HOT is. Didn't they just have the first 100 degree day in London history last summer? Hot ha!!
PASTEL BLACK - There a few country guys that rip it up. Ricky Scaggs, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson's guitar player is good.( I don't recall his name). There are a few more, I'll reley them as they pop into my head.

Do The Stu I used to live in Cyprus where an average day was around 87-90 degrees...but that was years ago...I think my body has adapted to UK weather so any day where the sun is out is a hot day over here ;-)
Civgeek I think I might have got you and 962 confused on the Ergo thing, its an Ibanez series of guitar, ti's very niiice indeed.
I might have got you confused over that question as well...I was beaming with happiness yesterday so it probably reflected off my computer screen and into my eyes lol Do you play Project Gotham 2 on the xbox? if not then sorry dude I got confuzzled :-)
At 4am I woke up and I had a sharp pain in my chest (a good heart attack maybe lol). But then I had a burning sensation in my nose...I couldn't do anything about it either lying there...so I went to the bathroom got some tissue and blew it...it still burnt, so i continued to blow my nose...after 5-6 tries i finished blowing my nose because what came out scared the gizzards out of me. A...dead....spider.
I read somewhere that in a lifetime a human swallows an average of 7-10 spiders...but how many do they have crawl up their nose? lol
Brother Al Happy 18th man...I read your post wrong and thought you said you were getting a hay-stack lol.

Quito: not in the flesh. I know he's a brilliant player, but I don't think heaps of drums and stuff makes much sense. I'm not a big fan of that kind of thing. I've seen impressive drumming involving a 4-piece kit with hi-hats, a ride and a crash cymbal. Plus moving it around sucks the bees elbows.
edit: I mean having to pack up, shift and set up - not spinning in a circle!
Ovation: see above.
Delfino: yuck. Don't tell Michelle, she won't sleep ever again!
Temperatures: every country outside the USA uses the Celsius scale (the one that is based on the SI unit Kelvin). I do however know that 32 F is 0 C, 104 F is around 40 C I think. 22 Celsius isn't much in some places. Good old Darwin has 30 C in winter. It does however depend upon humidity too. Some places feel hot at 25 degrees, and some feel cold.
Anyone else noticed on the G3 DVD bonus bit the track on Steve's DVD "Blood and Gory"?!

Do The Stu: Good point - Steve Morse is a very busy man... not only is he doing the Deep Purple thing, but now he's also involved in the Living Loud project with Don Airey, Jimmy Barnes, Bob Daisley & Lee Kerslake...
I agree - it's as if the coming tour with them is the closest you can get to having two out of my three favourite guitarists on stage together! If only Steve Vai was going too!!
To quote Yngwie... It's time to ROCK... now who's hidden my hamburger and fries??! : )
Ok, maybe I made the last bit of that up!!

Jazzy Boy - Please stop the namecalling. This isn't kindergarten.
"Is the explanation ok"
No it isn't, as it doesn't really explain anything.
Your original comment:
"We are all built on double standards. Its human."
After that, you said:
"So we have double standards here. Its human to be hyocrytical."
Saying all people are built on double standards is completely different than saying there are double standards here on T2J.
Explain how being hypocritical is "human".
ovation1 - " in the Beach Cities area you dont need an a/c at all!"
Yeah, that's true... When I'm in Long Beach it will occasionally reach 90, but it's still breezy so it isn't bad. I'm near Sacramento now, though...a few hours inland. It's HOT. ;-)
Delfino Pie - "I read somewhere that in a lifetime a human swallows an average of 7-10 spiders"
I think your numbers are a little high...I've heard around 5-7. That's not much better, but still... ;-)
Artanis I - LOL...no, I didn't catch that... I almost like that title more than the original.
Nitefly Rob - I know everyone you mentioned except for Jimmy Barnes... Who is he / who has he played with? That lineup sounds killer...have they recorded anything?
...Austin...

Do The Stu: (wow I think that's the first time I've called you that) if it's the same Jimmy Barnes that I know of, it's the Scottish born Aussie rock vocalist popular from the late 70s - mid 90s. He "sang" for the very huge Aussie band Chisel back in the day, and also stood in briefly for INXS after Michael Hutchence died. His solo career was probably more successful. (He was big here, I don't know about anywhere else!) I don't think anyone has any idea as to why he's been successful though, because his singing is atrocious! He pretty much just screams the whole time ... imagine Bon Scott (ACDC) with a more powerful yet whiney voice. And a rather strange form of Scottish lilt.

OH MY GOD what a night!!!! The show was great - Fripp was strange, Steve blistering and Joe very mellow. They seemed to have a really good time on stage. Afterwards I got to the meet&greet with Mari and Joe and Steve signed some stuff for me. Deve, Jeremy, Billy and Galen was there also.
It turned out that they were going to Finland the next day and wanted to kill a couple of hours before they were off, and naturally Mari and I offered to help lol. So we got to hang out with Steve's band (except Steve himself, he stayed in the bus with Pia and Fire) at a bar nearby, and when it closed we came back to the tour bus. I wasn't home until 5.30am... and now it's 11.30 and I'm getting ready for work... pretty tired! Mari is on a plane right now, I don't think she slept at all lol!
Anyway, I'll write more about the show later, I just wanted to tell you about my awesome night!!!!!!!! JOE, you rock!!!!!!!!

clarky..."learn from examples"..well..when i listen to music..i think i may of told you this before...anyway...when i listen to music i dont just casually listen, i pick up the way the instruments interact..this doesn't come on first listen but over time after alot of listens, each time i listen to a song i sometimes discover something new or something that didn't relate to my song-writing at first but now does. i dont like learning alot of someone else's stuff...i do try to play bits of satch, dt, vai etc...just because its cool...and maybe work from that or something...and also if i learn all the guitar parts, its something away from listening to them for me. when this course is over and when i'm back home i will look at arppegios.
mowlie...yeah...maybe...but at the moment..its not really done anything..apart from some band experience which is very useful but i expected more.
footballs boring...
Rush are one cool band...the rush in rio cd kicks ass.

Hi all, I went to see the first show of the G3 in Holland on Sunday. The show was brilliant, Vai was amazing, Satch was Awesome but Robert Fribb was really, really, really disapointing. For 45 mins he just made a drone through some FX unit. So big deal if its hard to do or whatever, who wants to listen to that? My advice, Find the bar and wait until Vai and Satch are due on!

do the stu: who's namecalling? I hope you dont offence to everything just like the way you do here.
What was so hard to explain about double standards and hypocrisy? Humans continue their lives and in the process they change. So one thing that was said in the past does not mean anything to them in the future. One can see that as hypocrytical or 'double standards.'
Again, I hope you dont offended this fast with something so small. I feel like youre the one acting like a kindergarten kid. Lighten up.

Brother al- hope you have a wonderful day as well...
mari & dragonchild- glad you guys had a good time...pictures and stories are expected one you get rested up! :)
anyone going to euro g3- doesnt seem as if robert fripp is getting the best of reviews on this board, but after seeing him in concert at a previous g3 i was amazed! yes his playing is different, but if you go into it with an open mind and realize that it will not be a style like steve and joes you should enjoy it!
Austin- hey how did the tournament finish up? if you havent got enough votes, there seems to be a lot of newbies who should be able to help real quick...
well off to get more coffee and then work, and then getting ready for the trip... leave in about 29 hours... :)
Hope all in Satchland have a good morning....

The Best Chain Letter Award
Hello, my name is Lewis and I suffer from the guilt of not
forwarding 50 billion fucking chain letters sent to me by people
who actually believe that if you send them on, a poor 6-year-old girl in Arkansas with a breast on her
forehead will be able to raise enough money to have it removed before her redneck parents sell her to a traveling freak show.
Do you honestly believe that Bill Gates is going to give you,
and everyone to whom you send "his" email, $1000?
How stupid are we?
"Ooooh, looky here! If I scroll down this page and make a wish,
I'll get laid by a model I just happen to run into the next
day!"
What a bunch of bullshit.
Maybe the evil chain letter leprechauns will come into my house
and sodomize me in my sleep for not continuing a chain letter that was started by Peter in 5 AD and brought to this country by midget pilgrims on the Mayflower.
Fuck 'em.
If you're going to forward something, at least send me something mildly amusing. I've seen all the "send this to 10 of your closest friends, and this poor, wretched excuse for a human being will somehow receive a nickel from some omniscient being" forwards about 90 times.
I don't fucking care.
Show a little intelligence and think about what you're actually
contributing
to by sending out these forwards. Chances are, it's your own
unpopularity.
The point being? If you get some chain letter that's threatening
to leave you shagless or luckless for the rest of your life,
delete it.
If it's funny, send it on. Don't piss people off by making them
feel
guilty about a leper in Botswana with no teeth who has been tied
to the ass of a dead elephant for 27 years and whose only
salvation is the 5 cents per letter he'll receive if you forward
this email.
Now forward this to everyone you know. Otherwise, tomorrow
morning your underwear will turn carnivorous and will consume
your genitals.
Have a nice day.
P.S. Send me 15 bucks

Hello Everyone in Satchland!! I should be in London right now
but I they wouldn't let me board cause they closed the gate(I waited in line for 15 minutes to checkin.) I should have opened my mouth. lol! I have 4 hours to the next flight. I think I'm sleepwalking....
OMG!! What a night!!! We had so much fun!! The show last night was better than the night before! The meet and greet was better in Gotenburg, Joe and Steve had more time to talk with us. I got some awesome photos!! This has been an experience of a lifetime! I'll do it again! Damn straight! We hung out with Steve's band and the crew. OMG is all I can say! we had so much fun!! Hanging in the bar till 3 am then on the crew tour bus with Dave Weiner and the crew. Kuul bunch of guys. We left them at 5am. They were heading to a boat to get to Finland.
I gave Joe my Dave Martone CD, and suggested him for the next G3. He had heard of him but not his music. He said he was going to listen to it that night. I forgot to ask him what he thought of it last night. I also told Steve and Dave Weiner about the CD so I hope they all get to listen! They do listen to all the demos that people give them. They love it.
I should be going now. I don't want to miss this flight too. I will talk to you all soon. Most likely when i return to the States.
I hope to meet up with some UK T2Jer's. Get in touch with Clarky or 962. Clarky do you want my Jeff Beck ticket?
Peace
Mari
