Yo Plum!!....Yeah man, that's what I'm talking about!!....The man is heavily influenced by Hendrix and Blackmore etc, and his vibrato is great!!....People will be surprised....Yngwie has got soul!!!!....I for one, am looking forward to the reviews!!

btw, just heard your take on "CN"....Great job man, that's a very "patient" song to play, lol, the only thing I would suggest is to record the guitar on top....The rhythm and all is heavy (great), but it is overpowering and "hiding" the lead a little.... Nice work man!!

PaulEMoz- sorry, I must have miss read the shirt :)

anyway, I'm Really exited about this concert! Judging from your posts, some of you guys seems to be making the jam out to be a guitar duel. The G3 jam isn't competition at all. Its more of a mutual show case of styles, and a chance for us fans to see our favorite guitarists play together on one stage. Its a really awsome thing. For me, last G3 with Petrucci was the all time greatest, but I'm really pumped and exited to see this one!

Hey Joe, I was at your Jan. 29, 2003 show in Reno. It was the first time to see you perform, although a fan since "surfin". My girlfriend knows my devotion, and after a fifth of jack, decided that she was going to try to get an autograph (or something) from you to give to me for my birthday 1/31. I think you might remember her, she was the one that rushed you onstage. I just wanted to let you know, she's really not crazy. Keep the rock on. Hope to see you again soon. Maybe I can find a way to get that autograph from you.

Dedicated fan, Larr

Can Yngwie play the blues?

Seriously, I would definately go see a G3 featuring Joe, Steve and, uh, Lars. Many others here would too, I mean, if it ever make it to South America. But probably it won't take too long till, uh, Lars start acting like a prima donna and screw everything up.

About what they'll play together... Certainly there'll be some Hendrix stuff. I bet on "Spanish Castle Magic", cause Lars won't have to learn it.

quito:....Ahhh....While I know how you feel, no matter what your inner feelings, just remember what he has done to bring guitar....Neo Classical guitar at that, to the forefront in the 80's!!....There's no denying his contributions....I remember right when he came out of nowhere..The man singlehandedly changed a genre....He will do fine IMHO, otherwise JOE and STEVE would'nt have him on the bill....

howdy everyone and apologies for not being able to be more actively involved over the past months. being a new dad has cut my "work" hours down so i don't have the time for keeping up with the daily chatter here.

that said, i just finally added an advanced search feature to the TTJ section. this should make all of you who've been asking for better search functionality happy (you can search by message author, date, and even message content). the main thing i'll be using it for is to read messages that have "webmaster" in them.

email is definitely better to reach me, since i won't miss it, but it likely will still take me a while to respond since i don't check very often.

on the up side, there are some very exciting things coming up in the nearish future, starting with the G3 dates! keep your eyes on the site in the future. :}

oh yeah-- some people complained about the "set as last read" feature not working and i've noticed that because of a slight change in the way the cookies are stored, it's possible to have two cookies for ttj in your browser. in that case, an older one may be interfering with things working properly.

the solution for this is :

a) wait until the old one expires (1 year from when it was set). this is obviously not too fun :}

b) go into your browser prefs for cookies and delete any cookie named "ttj" from ".satriani.com" or "www.satriani.com". that will clear all settings and then you can start using the "mark as last read" feature again.

Thank's for the new feature Webmaster Jon....BTW, is there a way you could change the poll to: "Which Cover do you prefer for the TTJ Project?"....

The ball need's to get rolling before it's too late!!....We are eager to see this project come to fruition....Thank's Jon....

Fablawer - dude.. where do you see the copyright infringement?

Hiram - lol... jeez... how d'you find that .... looks like someone is making money out of me.. and it sure ain't me.. lol

it don't bother me though... all advertising is good advertising..

ovation - good to see that all is well... interesting that the Japs really know how to get through things... in the UK once there was a little gust of wind that knocked an old ladies hat off..
The results were something like this:
The entire SE England regional trains ground to a halt for 9 hours
Waiting times in all hospitals Accident and Emergency departments grew by one whole day - but I don't think anyone noticed 'cos they'd been there for a week already..
CNN showed repeated footage of the hat falling off all day with regular expert analysis of the political and commercial consequences.
And best of all.. The EU government passed laws determining under what conditions old ladies could wear hats and what styles and colours are allowed.. additionally there was an extensive list of penalties and fines that could be slapped on old ladies, hat venders, local authorities and God..
Eire didn't understand the law and implemented something else, Germany agreed to implement but admitted that it would take 60 years, the UK implemented it to the letter at a cost of 20 billion [most of which was given to French farmers and Spanish fisherman by default], France didn't have to implement anything because it was their idea in the first place and in fact France was paid an additional 5 billion in EU grants because France is actually French and only has anything to do with the EU if it means that they will be given money by the other member states for no reason or force the UK to pay up for no reason.. Most of this money was funded by closing another British steel plant, two coal mines and a pub.

Great, G3 news! Hmm, I wonder... since Yngwie is from Sweden, is there a slight chance the tour will come here? That would be awesome!

Yeah, yeah. One can dream, right?

Clarky:...."Most of this money was funded by closing another British steel plant, two coal mines and a pub." ROTFLMAO!! And they had to close down a pub for this!!....lol, that was great reading, you are truely worthy of "Tom Brokaw" status now....lol dude....

Oh, and everyone....Check This page out.... Jon....Oh boy, he be tricky ;-)

Oh, and here is the comment on that page: "Welcome to the official G3 on-the-road section. As of August 6, there was been a single show leaked by a promoter so we are including only limited dates at this time. Within the coming days, a more complete schedule will be updated here."

See any spelling mistakes??....Sorry, I hate to be picky, but FIX IT!!....lol ;-)

Hey Joe... quite a long time since the last time i wrote you. I've bought "SBM" album and I must say its one of my favourite albums. I guess is the best Joe Satriani album. You really mixed up all emotions this time. Im finishing my own compositions and Im recording them sometime soon in Florida. Hope you can listen some of my stuff. I haven't tried your new songs this last months though, but i guess i will any time cause they all are great. See ya sometime in your tour. j_cocote
