Zachary: I am not musically gifted like so many here. I am just a huge fan ever since I first heard Always in '87. When I think of Jazz, I think of Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, Harry Connick Jr., and newcomer Peter Cyncotti(sp). I always thought of Joe's music as intrumental rock. Not being musically gifted, I don't have the knowledge to say it could be jazz fusion or anything other than instrumental rock.

Sky Ant.....congrats on the passes.....just remember...be aggressive...get to the front of the line.....early...lol.
That's cool that a new JS will be introduced in January 2004! Does anyone here have a dream of what the new JS should look like? Certain modifications or maybe just a different paint job? I kind of (really) like the flame JS that I've seen pictures of him playing. Someone also posted a pic a while back of him playing a red one....that one is cool too !
The only modification I would like to see is a cybernetic hand attached to the fretboard which you could slip your own hand into. With all of Joe's songs, live or otherwise, preset into the hand's memory. Ok maybe that would take some of the fun out of playing...only a little though...LOL

JitH - Remastering is the process of taking an old recording and enhancing it digitally to make it sound better (fresher, cleaner, crisper, louder, <insert adjective here>). Recording techniques improve over time, and in a way remastering old songs allows them to "catch up" to current sound quality standards.
crushingday62 - Right-click either the low or high stream version and choose "Save Target As...".
Fablawyer of SBM - Man, that stinks...talk about bad luck.
The Farting Gnome - I hate to sound pessimistic, but I don't think G3 2003 will make it to Europe. It seems like Joe is already planning his early 2004 schedule, and it doesn't look like it includes G3 in Europe. Who knows, though...there still might be a chance.
Steevlan1 - I'm not in any immediate danger. I'm right on the ocean in Long Beach, which is anywhere from 60 to 100+ miles from the fires. I'm in the middle of the city, and the fires are in the hills. I get to breathe in a lot of smoke and brush bits of ash off my clothes whenever I'm outside, but that's all the danger that I run into.
Ya Yo Gakk - It's good to hear that you're okay. What specific city do you live in?
krismael - The Yngwie clip that Ya Yo Gakk mentioned is part of the G3 video that can be downloaded from the front page of this site.
koyote99 - I don't think Joe would ever consider playing Stairway To Heaven.

My name is Joseph. I am new to your music I just got 3 cds used from amazon well they are comming I just heard some clips and the I saw the G3 1996 I was impresed by your style. Two of my best friends like Vai for its technique hehe but I like yours more. I ask you were I can get clinicks on DVD or Books so I can lern more your style and technique I have been playing 3 years now but my ear is not so good for music. Can you tell me how I can improve my ear for music? My technique is not good ether so I have to improve. I hope I can talk to you live I have a few questios for you.

Welcome to the Sunshine state. Just ignore that sign at the state line that sez, "Welcome to Florida, Now go home!!" That is usually for the old folks who make left hand turns from right lanes and stay for the winter.

zachary i am doing well, i have a virus that affects the 7th cranial nerve.. so now the right side of my face is paralized.. its called bells palsy. it generally clears up in like 14 days.. it was quite a scare when my face started to go numb.. anyhow i am tired as hell(because of the virus) . and i look real funny when i speak or laugh.. i am putting in some good practice time these days since i am off work till wednesday next week...all is good though , thanx for asking..
