Hi Joe, been listening to your awesome guitar slashing since the Ice nine days and the Crush of Love and back then I wish I had of got into your style in the Rubina days anyway I live in alittle but beautiful country called New Zealand and just about every axeman down here is waiting for you to arrive is there any chance we are going to see you in the next couple of years it sure would be awesome! I missed out on seeing you on the flying in a blue dream tour in a place called Adelaide, Sth Australia back in 1988 and as well when I think you toured with Mick Jagger as well a few years earlier would I be right in saying that? Anyway keep up the good work always look forward to your new sounds!

Hello to Joe and everyone at T2J......
...I've been playing guitar for 20 years now with nothing to show for it so I've finally made up my mind to commit to recording an albums worth of original songs. I'm working on the demo now and hope to be in a studio by the end of the year. I have got alot to learn about programing drum machines and sequencing keyboards. I'm using a Boss BR-8 Digital recorder,an Alesis SR-16 drum machine and a Roland XP-10 multi synth. If anybody has any recording tips they would like to lend, they would be greatly appreciated. .........2 TON

Hello all!!!
I know that the Bill Clinton - Monica Lewinsky thing is ancient history, but I heard a funny joke today. I'm sorry if anyone gets offended.......What does Monica Lewinsky and a vending machine have in common?
They both say "Insert Bill Here"
Laughter is good for the soul..................Dave :)

Brothers, i ask you all from T2J board again, is there any record release from G3 live 2001?
After seeing photos, i am sure this leg was a big £$€kin' & jammin' & tapin' & hammerin' sound...
a visual show full of guitar battles...just like a big interactiv deployement of technic, energy, efficacity but fineness and generosity!

We might often use of metaphysicaly explanations with chemical terms because Joe's music is now solid now liquid now gaseous, just untouchable, inaccessible but so mysterious and fascinated!
Satch's music and sounds stay there where nothing is, a lost island of solitude, a deep forest of silence, we could just take a pen and put on this white paper some blue notes as like we would express the value of the moment of life.
Let's thinking about it!
Life is short, let's exchange our ideas!

Bullster I think Joe uses lots of different wah-wah pedals for recording on his albums, but i'm almost sure he uses a dunlop wah-wah live, he did on the live in san francisco album anyway.....Joe Rules....

Hey Joe!
I got your LIVE @ SF dvd. It blew my mind out. Especially the live version of Borg Sex- I love when you can use machinery on an album to get a certain drum sound -but ya cant hide live....it sounded really good with acoustic drums. By the way, although I have a Strat, I was looking at your signature guitar and dont know which is the most authentic (without looking at price of course ). I played one of them and it felt so much better than the strat. If you have any comments on that I would really like to hear it. I saw you in Ft. Lauderdale at a club called Summers on the Beach in 1987 or 88 for the Surfing with the Alien Tour. I really appreciated the live sound in a small club. I'm glad to see that you are keeping things fresh throughout your career.

I also know that Joe uses Dunlop pedals, mostly 535q. I think that he's sponsored by Dunlop so it kinda makes sense. www.guitargeek.com shows the equipment used by some players.

Are you aware of CDNOW, AMAZON, YAHOO and other sites that sell albums online or are you reffering to something different?

I agree about the Back to Shalla Bal comment. If you are talking about the part I think you are I just noticed it recently and what he's doing is playing the same arpeggio pattern based on the chords G, D, A, E using the wah. If you know music go to www.satriani.of.pl to download the tab.
JS Clone 1
that wouldve been my guess. Dont count on Joe changing the setlist. It would mean rehearsals and I think he's in the proccess of catching a breathe right now.

Vette guy 43- Tablature books and tab's online usuly come out 6 months to a year after the record has come out! Unless you can find it out yourself. In that case post it on a Tab site and make us all happy! lol
Bullster- As far as I know Joe uses an assortment Dunlop Crybaby Wah's (mostly GCB-95 and 95q Wah's). But, on this tour it look's like he has a Ernie Ball wah in his live rig.

Bullster --- I believe a few years ago there were these Jim Dunlop ads featuring Joe using the 535Q wah pedal.... however, in interviews, Joe said that he actually prefers to use the older Dunlop wah pedals with smaller circuit boards; also, he mentioned that he changes between dunlop wahs all the time.
Sweep Pick --- Did you see Joe use an Ernie Ball wah pedal at a concert? Or in the photos for the SBM tour? that's really interesting and i'd just to know how you know....
Additionally, i checked out this month's Young Guitar (Japanese) magazine and it has Steve Vai on the cover with an article on Joe inside as well; too bad i can't read Japanese!! hahaha....
