My one request for Joe is he must come somewhere within Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville, or columbus! ANywhere in that range for his next tour for his next album.
That's my official request. I hope it comes tru, I have yet seen Satch or Vai live since the G3 tour wasn't close enough. I hope I'll be able to someday. BTW Stu M, I know about those photos, I go to that site too.

Ethn, wow, that's the bravest statement I've seen yet about Yngwie! respect dude! hehehe. Half the audience could shred his ass? it'd be quite interesting to know how good the audience members actually are. I do kind of have to agree with PhryDom, about the fact that G3 should be more about the entertainment/music, than who's best.
However, I do think that it sucks for a G3 member to be so sloppy, in their playing and their habits.
NINJAS for G3? I bet they could kick even hgiher than YJM! hehe
The Forgotten (Part 2) For G3!
PhryDom, hehehehe, no, none of my family never featured on film, except me earlier this year, at a local gig I played in, but it was sh!t, and the film crew didn't know what they were doing. It's the worst video I've seen.....actually, I saw a video taken of my first gig, on a digital handheld video camera, and it's better in sound and picture quality, than the previously mentioned recording, that used 17 million pounds worth of TV Studio truck, cameras, sound equipment, mixers, the whole nine yards!
I know, I'm not a violent person and yeah, what's done is done, but I think what happened to Jaco is really unjustified.
mmm, Kazaa hurts more than you think. I think it was something like a 2 billion dollar loss in the last 12 months.
Yoda, dude how was that Jenniffer Batten masterclass today? I bet she was awesome? Hope you enjoyed it and learned some cool stuff.
that's an awesome article about what Robert Fripp had to say about Joe! what a nice bloke! And how true.......I'd be really interested to hear some of Joe's hidden talents!
Stu M, happy 900
Hill Groove For G3!
Steevlan, very interesting to see what you wrote about Robin Trower, thanks for your positive input! Myself and a mate of mine may be writing up a survey/questionnaire to take out and inflict on the public some time soon, to find out their awareness of how hard file sharing and music downloading is f*ck*ng the music industry.
RT can't even afford to do a festival tour? that's a pretty good indicator of how bad file sharing is. Cheers again dude, your post may turn out to be very helpful!
stefan, "ask him if you don't believe me" hehehehehe. that's real funny. We all know that Vai has been to Romania cuz it says so in his Alive In An Ultra World album. IF anybody is going to be fully aware of this, it's likely to be Joe!
The Matrix Revolutions sounds awesome. I gotta go see that!
Please, more people share thoughts and any weblinks you know of, that have to do with file sharing and free music downloads/pirating. I want a good bunch of opinions so I know how to better-structure my research.
Joe, I'd be very interested to know what you think about file-sharing, and what the availability of free, copied music via the internet has done for the music industry. In your field, do you ever feel any of the effects of this obviously huge problem, and do you think that the business is helped out by "artist-friendly" organisations like Favored Nations?

the prez HAHAHAHAHAHA your funniest yet! Is that Rumsfeld in the background? He doesn't look too impressed with Joe's speech so he's probably a country music fan!
962 Neil hasn't replied yet, so he's probably still recovering from inhaling too much of the smoke which was created when Jennifer started tapping.

About file sharing: I think it's ok if you use it the way I did until the whole lawsuit thing started. I'd download 4 or 5 songs from each CD that I considered buying. If I liked them enough, I bought the CD. If not, all but maybe one song got deleted. The only way the recording industry lost money on me is if the CD sucked.

Hi! :)
What am I doing here?!? I have to study genetics for Saturday! AARRGGG! I can't resist! The site keeps calling me! I swear I try!...
err.... (cof..)
DCK- Happy Birthday! :)
mick87- Yeah, you should come here! I think we portuguese are very lucky! Our weather is very good (reasonably hot in Summer, not very cold in Winter), we have aprox. 800 Km of beach, no sharks, no earthquakes, no tornadoes, no big floods, no civil wars, a bit of snow in some places, The Atlantic Pavillion, which is a great place for indoor concerts for more than 25000 people (JOE COME TO PORTUGAL PLEASE! :p), a cool Hard Rock cafe :p, lots of tradition and culture, an elevator (lift) designed by Eiffel, a bridge that looks like Golden Gate (only a bit smaller), a 14 Km bridge over the Tagus river, a big Zoo... good guitar players... well... I think I'll stop now... :p
Jimmy Kane- I'm with you on that! JOE COME TO EUROPOE PLEASE!!! AND ONCE YOU'RE HERE COME TO PORTUGAL! :p OK... COME TO SPAIN IF YOU WANT... BUT COME TO PORTUGAL TOO!!
trutina- Excellent news about theT2J CD!! :) I can't wait! :) I listened to the previews over and over! :p I can imagine it's been a tough job... great work from you, Dave, Chris and all of the other great players that submitted songs! I still have a lot of road in front of me, but I surelly feel honored to be part of this with all of you guys! :) Any possibilities of a T2J CD version 2.0? :p
Well, that's it... now I'll study... :p

Ethn I got the impression you were writing while emotionally affected (and quite rightly so, it seems, from your further explanation) so I tried, in my silly little way, to try and diffuse you a little (for your own good, young man! lol). I am NOT an Yngwie fan, so I wasn't defending him. I appreciate what he does (well not the getting wasted part), just as I appreciate *any* blues player (cos I personally can't stand blues music), but I just try and say to myself "well, he played his arse off, I didn't care for it so much, but let's just leave it at that". I see you spent some money on the gig(s) you saw, it's sad you seem to think El Fatso "wasted" your money, cos after all, your cup is (in my eyes) two-thirds full, not a third empty - you saw Joe & Steve! Okies, so he (wiggle-bot)'s unprofessional and he likes to get drunk (well he's a man after all ROFL)... but at least you saw a (mainly) great show - AND I DIDN'T!!!! So think of it that way! :-P No hard feelings bro, besides I could never hold a grudge against a Rush fan lol
wait a sec... I hope Yngwie's not a Rush fan LMFAO!!!!!!!
oh, and I totally agree with and support you (heh heh) re: "he's just being himself" -> that is NO excuse for acting like a cock (except a cock has its uses lol). Also (v important) your opinion is NOT "pretty worthless" - everyone has the right to one, and everyone's is welcome!
I need to disappear for a while, but I think I need to do some more replying... later to those peeps... Ethn -> leave that thing alone! you don't know where it's been!

Jennifer Batten is a killer player. I have her solo cd from 92' or 93' I think it came out. Some awsome playing, the opening song is a mind blower. I'd like to see her put out another instrumental cd. Maybe on Favored Nations??

Stu M - Fripp being described as a boring old man is just not fair... he's not exaclty 21 any more but boring?? never... like anything else, what is 'boring' and what is 'interesting' is really in the eyes of the individual.. someone who is well educated may find a night out with a party animal unstimulating and dull... each to their own..
think on this... David Cross is around Roberts age I guess.. they've both travelled the world playing and made a dent in the history of music... I think that David and Robert are cut from moulds that are not too different...both well read and very clever guys..
so here's a little story about David on tour...
David and I are sitting in the tour bus chatting.. we have a long way to go... David has a couple of university degrees.. one of him is in Classical History.. we talked for hours about ancient Greece, Rome, Carthage, Assyria etc.. I'm interested in military history.. for hours we dissected the battles of Canae and Zama.. time passed so quickly.. another time we talked at length about music.. not the tecnical stuff but the spiritual and creative elements.. our own approaches, thoughts, ideas, philosophies.. very interesting stuff...
and then that night after the gig I'm staggering around Berlin, trashed, barfing all over the place in between bars...
there's a fine line between being stupid and clever...
to be honest, passing the time deeply engrossed in stimulating conversation is much nicer and easier than sitting with the drummer getting stoned all the time whilst watching Simpsons videos hour after hour....

r6r - I bow before no man.... lol not unless he's really really big
I wouldn't worry about your drought... at some point it'll end... try listening to new music.. stuff you're not normally into..
kell - meeting Fripp was quite a thing for me... being on the same album was quite another... we both played on David's Exiles album..
ovation - ok.. I have to make a decision on the name of my studio....
is it:
1 - Grand Master Clarkytsu's Dojo.. a place of meditation, study, discipline and extreme violence..
2 - Mad Scientist Clarkystein's Lab.. riff accelerator.. quantum shredz, and place to bend vibe-time

ok just wanna say wat i feel bout all this g3 stuff. All you guys who have gone to the shows and come back and say that you have had a bad time. To be honest i find it very anoying in the way that id kill to be able to go see those 3 live. Even if i knew they wou;ld be dropin notes and sounding bad id still love to see it. So you guys really should be honored that you had the chance to see some of the most influencial guitarists ever on the same stage because im realistic about it and know that its a 90% chace that this tour will not go furthur than U.S.A. So if you were lucky enough to make a show remember that it is a once in a lifetime expirience.
anyway. I saw the matrix revolutions on wednesday and it kicked some serious ass. Everyone should go see it ( unless you havent seen reloaded yet. If thats the case go see reloaded and then go see revolutions.)

Hey Joe...
AWESOME show last night!!! You guys were really on! Loved all the improvising. Wow!!! What can I say? Thanx 4 the signatures after the show. VERY cool of you & Steve to spend a couple minutes with all of us FANaticS hangin' by the buses. Too bad Yngwie couldn't take the time to sign anything for us UNlucky FANaticS who couldn't get backstage passes. Was hoping to get all 3 Gs to sign my ticket, but glad to get you & Steve to sign it. Saw Yngwie MANY years ago & really hated it, BUT I gotta say... Yngwie was a cool addition to the lineup. He was rockin' & he really added a new flavor to the G3 concept. Amazing performances by all 3 of the Gs!!!
Next up, tomorrow night in Montreal ~ "Hammer Of The Gods", a Zeppelin tribute band with Mike Portnoy, Paul Gilbert, Dave Larue, & some singer.
2 Gr8 shows (5 if you count G3 as the 4 shows which you really get for the price of one) in 3 daze. Wow, when it rains, it pours. Speaking of pouring, MAN was it pouring on the drive into Philly for the show.
Thanx 4 the FANtastic show at the Keswick!

Matt - Haha, I love the song! Great pickin' bry! I'm diggin' these Christmas covers!
Migupais - haha thanks bro! Hopefully in the future I'll get the chance to travel to Portugal. Sounds like an awesome place!
Clarky - How big were the gigs you were playing with David Cross, just out of curosity ;)?
Ovation - that's nothing! Just a minute ago my Glock went, "Moo baa cluck kabamozzzzzzzzz feeyoré ding ting crunch!" Then it demanded some sake or it would hurl itself out the window! It's becoming an unruly instrument, lol...
Oh btw... the ankle is feeling a lot better. Still not 100%, but it's a speedy-in-the-process-recovery ;).
Poll time... Jimi Hendrix style! Hey Joe vs. Little Wing!
