hello all! hope all is well with everyone and sending good vibes to all who could use some. been quite a while since i posted, been working my ass off as of late. after a year and a half of unemployment i've been putting in as many hours as i can physically take. but i just came down with pneumonia so i suddenly have too much time on my hands.

too many posts to catch up on but noticed Joe put up the link to his new tuneage. sounds awesome as you would expect from the Satch man. do have a question though. Joe it sounds great, but it also sounds like you're looking for something. i don't know any other way to say it. it sounds like you have this vision of what you want the song to express but can't quite get it to come out. i know you commented on that very subject so just wondering if you feel that you "hit the nail on the head" so to speak or if you feel it still needs a little something more. either way its great stuff as far as i'm concerned and i can't wait for the new cd.

well that's it for me for now. truely hope everyone is doing the best they can in these trying times and sending extra good vibes to your loved ones here who like my sister are fighting that monster disease trying to take them away.

catch you all later.

cosmic_ape - dude you need to play and hear them.. they are utterly stunning..
the woods are absolutely top notch and the build quality is as good as it gets..
I know they look a bit 'metal'.. lol.. but they're actually amazingly versatile..
the orange one has a very fine grained gold fleck in the paint so live on stage it really 'pops' under the lights... the other changes colour depending upon where you're looking from... so it switches from purple to blue / green, and end on it's a sort of bronze..
on stage the lights really react with it.. it's very cool..]br] if you want to hear them, I recorded a track on my myspace
mypsace.com/clarkymusic
the track called Voyager is the V6 guitars playing through a Roland VG-99
if you're interested, the other tracks on there are an RG470 through a Digitech 2120..
dobyblue - out of curiosity, can you actually hear the difference between 24 bit / 192KHz and a CD of the same recording????
I can totally understand recording and mixing in the studio at higher resolutions but that's not because of what it sounds like, it's because of the processing that is done to the audio..
if I recall correctly, the higher resolutions are to avoid the introduction of artefacts when processing the audio..
to the best of my knowledge, the human ear cannot perceive a quality difference beyond 12 bit / 44KHz

I gotta go to NAPA...I just gotta........I am in major need of a JOE show fix....that would keep a smile on this SATCHAHOLICS face for a long time, too. Now I just gotta convince my husband...........who wont be happy about a 14 hour drive in the middle of the week to Napa California ...erm ..I have a little more than a day to convince him before tickets go on sale......WISH ME LUCK guys.......

Don- Hope ya get better soon and all the best to your sister...I hope she can beat the beast. My dad is out RVing at present, on the Washington coast, he'll have his blood work done when he gets back, crossing my fingers the results will be good...

Grampy Steve- Your little grandson is exceptionally advanced for his age . Grandkids are such a treat, I love mine so much some times I fell like my heart will just burst..... :-)

Yep, some people call college collage, apparently Sir Loin calls it collidge.

Indeed ole Moses spent three consecutive periods of forty days and forty nights camping up a mountain doing a lot of that praying stuff, but does that class as work?

The devil is in the detail. Bwahahaha. Time for another beer.

Cheese- Thanks for the kind thoughts for dad...

I was thinking much like you on the weather ..also I've got those grand-babies due in January....it would be hard to leave if due dates shift closer to the dates of those concerts.... I mean- I ADORE our JOE but grand-babies would come first....... I may have to kidnap another family member or friend to go with me if my husband can't get away. We run our own business and we are really busy right now . I can usually put paperwork on hold but my husband works right along side the employee's & unfortunately when he leaves town equipment breaks down etc..... Any Way enough about that but I am so antsy I can't stand it ...............I am gonna figure out a way..one way or another..... (funny you should say "grab the bull by the horns"...my husband happens to be a Taurus Lol ! )

EDIT- HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLUE BUFFALO...Hope you are having a wonderful day.

Hey oxley11

not really sure, i've only heard it live when I'm watching ESPN but a YT search found this small clip someone caught. the vid quality is total crap so you can't get the full affect but it's def a cover of HFOB as the poster says. Prolly Joe's management licensed it out. I've heard him on SC other times too, diff being usually it's the original recordings, not knockoffs...

As for LYA, its just my op. Depends what you look to his music for. Its still very melodic, just different than what I expected from the title. I was lookin for something to move more like Speed of Light so i 'm just surprised is all.

the builup on the God is Crying sample sounds promising. If he starts to take off from that point like say Up in the Sky than I'll be on board for sure.

sweet!

I've thought of picking one of the other versions up before, but NOW is the time. (So as long as Joe doesn't end up endorsing itch cream or something of that nature, right?)

...seriously though, sounds good and will be cool to have around

Deluxe Edition BSAWW will be our backup copy :) Glad we finally have a Best Buy
