Whojack, you guys had waaaaay to much fun! Thanks for sharing your sunshine with the rest of us. To cool.
No new kitties yet. Not for a while. We have an 8 yr. old domestic found-at-the-playground orange cat named Moey (Moe Howard). We've had him since he was about 4 months old. Now he's a big boy weighing in at 19 lbs. My cat that just passed was 17lbs. in his better days, but 15 lbs. when he passed. All our cats have come into our lives without us purposely on a mission to get one. They just happened. I might wait and see if one happens our way before we go out looking for one. All good things take time.
Joe, I love ya man!

Welcome back It is Austin not Stu, there is no real news apart from the fact that T2J has been awash with Canadians pumped from the show the other day. Not sure if you got MY news however, (bought SBM on Thursday) and I think I've almost overplayed it already. Can't remember who said this, but my fave is also "The Traveller" but wait a week or so until I've flogged it to annoyance levels.
Later all, BEN
PS BUCK the HUM!!!

This is absolutely amazing! I freaked when I finally saw it!
This is pretty neat. Apparently the owners of this house had been seeing images and hearing voices for quite a while. They did some research and found that a lady once lived in the house who lost her husband during the civil war. Legend says that she used to sit at the table and look across the fields in anticipation of her loved one returning home. He never came. So, they say she still waits.
They caught this photo of what they claim to be her. This one was wild and a little spooky once you find the ghost in the picture. It took me a few seconds to find it, but when you do it just stands out. Like one of those optical illusions. To save you some time, concentrate around the table. Best not to focus to much on one spot. Look around the table and toward the window. Give yourself a minute or two to see it!
Click on the link below for the picture. Best to enlarge. For an added touch turn up the volume, it's faint but you can hear the ghost talking sometimes in a low murmur.

Spooky, eh?

Whojack - Looking at those pictures brings back an indescribable feeling...
Plum - I still can't see it. I only looked for a few seconds though. It must be hoaxy if there's anything to do with sound. I didn't even turn on my speakers.
Edit: Um I just saw it. Let's say I didn't have my sound on and I didn't jump but that was the scariest thing i've ever seen. All my muscles feel weird. ... must... seek...revenge on.... Barrie......Poole

Seeing Joe play Crushing Day has inspired me to learn take another stab at learning it. Can someone help me out with the sweeps at about 2:38. The Cherry Lane transcription is not even close. Joe does it way more efficiently live. He's playing around the 7th position and doesn't move very far from there. I just can't figure it out. Joe, if you could show this in your Guitar World column, I would be forever greatful.

Having watched the current section of the webcast, I must say that if this were to be made into a DVD (HINT HINT) I would certainly buy at least one copy. This is way too cool, especially the intimate "Joe and his guitar" portion. "I Believe" is especially great.

Hi everyone. Here's long post #234...
RDG - I need to talk to a friend of mine to see if he'll go with me to your gig. I'll email you in a day or two with a yes or no.
akreepish1 - The Bone Bash III thing is just a one-off gig for 107.7 The Bone.
NonSmoker - I'm in college now and it's nearly impossible to find people that play music who aren't drunk all the time and don't do any drugs. So I've been playing bass by myself a lot lately. It gets boring sometimes, but it does mean that I have a lot of practice time.
TheBob - Yeah, I was bummed about the short version of Why as well.
crushingday62 - I've seen The Beautiful Guitar for sale at CDNow.
njbeast - I don't think Joe gives lessons anymore. Sorry.
Fat Buds Garrett - Joe really started getting into the guitar when he heard that Jimi Hendrix died.
pleasedonteatme - Yeah, Joe was already there. I like your username, by the way. ;-)
xxangraxx - Look through some of my old messages. I've mentioned the tour set list a few times. I know I have a lot of posts, so start at the most recent ones and move backwards. You'll find it quicker that way.
It's cool to see posts from a lot of people saying how much they like The Traveler. It's an awesome song. :-)
...Austin...

That ghost thing, definitely a brown trousers occasion.
Has anyone ever done a "google" search on their name? There might be some information on you you didn't want to be so publically accessible...
Love the wahwah on The Traveller. Joe you're a genius.
BEN
PS Anyone notice YoYoBangBang hasn't been here since the concert review he gave? That is quite a long time ago...

You should jam with me someday, Joe. We could share stories musically with our guitars and raise the dead (well... at least get their attention) Jim

JS1: I like VAI as much as JOE. as much as Gilbert, and as much as Greg Howe, with as much as Richie Kotzen, with as much as Mike Stern!! LOL, I think I may have left out some people in there, but it's all good :-)...."STOP THIS INSTANT, that sounds like Jazz"!! LOL!!....BTW, PGM10th!! I would love to have one!! Haven't seen a pic of it yet.....Young Guitar showed a pic of it with Paul (when it went on debut) but the guitar was faded out with dot's....on purpose, so you couldn't
see it!!!!
Welcome back Austin!!
Peace all, /\/\ike

Mr Satriani, I am currently in Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, I am out in the middle of no where, the nearest city being Kuwait city, where, just by chance is a small military exchange, they had one copy of your new album. I bought it and a walkman to listen to it, sat under the middle east sky that night looking up at the stars, (missing my wife) and listened to the whole CD. Your standards in music have not wavered, excellent album, you can tell by the tunes you had a blast recording, I can't wait to get home to my strings and have fun myself, thanks for the ear candy and keep the tunes coming.
Sincerely
SFC Holleman

All y'all dudes and dudettes - just got back from visiting my mom [in Southern Spain] which is why I've not been around for a few weeks....
