yeah already checked but u cant judge form the samples there completly different guitars/amps/mics/pre/post recordings with a tonne of different factors editing the sounds... kinda stupid really, there shud be plain dry consistant samples

and hey M I seen seaching live in London, but fell asleep for a portion of it :) ...i'll make u a samish later

actually by the sounds of it the norton sounds the most appealing to me, its a mix between the fred and tone zone, that pickup is kinda over looked a lot by the more popular ones, maybe thats worth a punt

Cube, maybe Bitten By The Wolf is written about the wolf that bit wolf2 that made him so...wolfie?

Al, how bout now?

All these CHICKENFOOT ads in today's Best Buy paper have me wondering if they'll support Joe BETTER when he comes out with his next solo cd??? We actually forgot all about the Sunday paper till Joe reminded me. I hate working weekends. Feels just like a week day.

Speaking of the Sunday paper..

My mom just called me to read me something she found in the Parade....

It was about Cat Stevens suing Coldplay over VLV, and he mentions Joe Satriani in it....that's the part that caught her eye so she had to call right away to tell me about it...she recknized Joe's name!!

I must be doing my job right if my lil 88 year old mum knows who Joe Satriani is, LOL!!! She even pronounced his name right!

hey all,

Still waitin for my CF preorder to arrive. Ain't it cool how you can 'preorder' a disc and have it arrive after the actual store release date. lol. Kinda defeats the whole damn purpose, right?!

EDIT: Tracie just beat me to this buuut: EDIT

Anyways did you guys see the snippet interview with Cat Stevens(Yusuf) on the Coldplay/Joe lawsuit??? It was funny, at the end he joked: "Franky, I think Satriani's song sounds a lot like mine(Foreigner Suite) too. Maybe I should sue him and get it all."

That Cat, what a crazy guy! lol

Do the Stu - Is the new DMB album growing on you yet?

To the guys who think Joe should have stuck with his normal music....all I have to say is that it's good to get out of the box once in a while. And if you really need some Satch on this album...click on Turning Left. There is Satch urine ALL over that tune!! If you didn't know that Joe was in Chickenfoot and you heard that song, you'd say.....When did Joe and Jeff C start singing? LOL. Joe, you slid that one in there for sure!! Nice.

I have now listened to this album 7 times through. I have to say, I am very impressed with the album overall. My one tiny knock on this album is it seems to me that Sammy might not have put enogh thought into all the songs. Some lyrics are GREAT and some are just kind of filler. But overall, this album is everything I had hoped and much more.

I'm tired of hearing F**king Coldplay's song on the bland radio stations in this area.....especially when I'm eating lunch in a Subway! Same old woe is me tone....."I used to...blah, blah, blah........." ...my stomach goes sour......not good for my digestion!!

Michelle--Good of ya to keep up on the arrogant Chris Martin and how he is digging his own cloistered tomb by ripping of other musicians tunes!

Austin--Thanks for a preview of the new Coldplay album...lmao!

Scubadaz--Are you and I the only ppl here to remember Steve Vai's birthday??? Thanks for the interview...as with most of this forum, I gotta get back to it later.

Guitarvibes--Are ya gettin' out on your bicycle these days? I hope the weather is good for getting out on the bicycle roads.

Joe--Being the reasonable guy you are and the intelligent, straight-forward musician and human being......it's clear to me why you would say, "Ask me later." It's too soon to comment on my first question to you because of the ongoing court case. Man, I hope the attorneys get this mess cleared up by the end of this year. We can hope.......

Jon Luini--Thanks for being here. It's reassuring.....

Alan Mc---I've got something to say to ya about Twitter......Steve found you on there and said with your introduction a person would be a fool not to find out more about you and your music.......I agree......Steve is on there as Rabbie007......That is to be interpreted as Robbie Burns the late Scottish Poet. Why is he in love with Scotland?......something about Fiona and her teenage son Stephen who is not expected to live past his 20th birthday due to a genetic condition......He loves to text them and use camera and sound on his lappy to communicate....I donno, maybe one day I'll learn how to do all this new technology stuff......time to go back to university or community college, if only! ;-/

Chickenfoot's album is sooo good I can't pick a favorite song, or favorite moment....put it through the headphones a bit ago and as I think chelle already said, it takes me RIGHT back to the show in San Fran, live!! From where we were standing, we lost some of the dynamics of the music and couldn't always hear everyone all the time but it was killer just the same....

But to hear it all on the cd, HOLEE SCHLAMOLEE!! I can't hardly WAIT to get to work tomorrow and put this on for people to hear!!

I'm so feckin excited over this I can barely stand it, lol!! Hope we get lots of good instructions tomorrow on the presale, AND that we get the rest of the tour dates put up so people can plan!

GG2 "is digging his own cloistered tomb" not perfect yet, but you're improving on the lingo! On my bike? Yes, every day of the year! Like everyone else. That's how we go from A to B in this country within 10 km or so. Has nothing to do with the weather or time of year (sunny hobbycycling is for tourists, and they're always in our way!)

I think I'll disappear from T2J for a while untill this CF hysteria here is over.

Guitarvibes, do not think 'Foot will be getting much airplay for me either but I will go see them live again, that was far more fun than listening ,even as folks have suggested in headphones. Oh well, back to my summer Gunter collection.....

and some mind blowing Holdsworth from 1974, just way way out there ahead of his time.....
