Tapper 5: The JSX will work with any speaker cab given that the ohms of the cab are at least equal or more than the head, and that the wattage at the same ohms matches both the cab and head. For example, if the JSX were rated as a 120 watt amp @ 8ohms, the least you could get away eith is running it into a 120watt 8ohm cab. You could also run it into a the same wattage cab at 16 ohms. The importnt thing is that the ohms at least match, that determines whether there is enough resistance in the system to avoid frying your amp. the wattage of the cab is just a concern to avoid blowing the speakers in the cab. Hope that helps

Hiya Joe. I'll be at the Clyde Auditorium gig in June and am so psyched up about it as I am a huge fan and already know the gig will be the greatest I'll have been to. Also, I practice your songs religiously until I can get it right to the best of my ability (which is sod all compared to yours). I played some last night in front of some people I know who are in a band, and their reaction to hearing your music landed me in a guest spot on their next recording so I is well pleased. A bit of a long thank you, I know but THANKS A MILLION JOE!

360: Man, I understand your frustration. Listen to Bamboo, ITLIS, Just look up, Souls of Distortion and If I could fly again. They are pretty well done songs, IMO. They rock actually, is what I mean. Yeah, they're great ones man, woohoo! I love reading negative reviews! At least the ones that make sense. Dont you guys get sick of reading positive reviews? Nothing can shake your opinion so let it be. Lets see....um, Joe sucks!

Does anyone else on here have problems getting decent sustain at the top end of the neck? When I get around and above sort of the 17th fret notes and pretty dead and don't ring at all. They are not at the same volume as the rest of the guitar either. I'm supposed to be playing Starry Night at a concert, I have the piece nailed playing-wise, it's just the sound which is holding me back now. I can't get the right tone out of my Ibanez RG1570 and Boss ME50, and as i say I have this problem at the top end of the neck which kinda ruins the performance. The action is set at 7mm, would you say this is a bit low? Use a heavier string guage? The compressor doesn't do much to help, plus it's too damn noisy even with the Noise surpressor all the way up.

Museman : your action is pretty high, I have a lower action ( about 3-4 mm), but the tip is to put a tiny piece under the locking nut to raise the action in top of the neck. Works really good on my JS900, and use low-gauge strings. Hope it'll help you

do the stu: ok the abortion thing. said it once, will say it again, its the option of having the choice more than the actual procedure/morality/whatever for me. so im not against it. i just heard a story from my boss last week. she went down to DC for the womens rights walk. she does it because back in college her roommate needed/wanted an abortion and back then it wasnt ok and she ended getting the coathanger and died. so thats one big reason there, people will have to resort to desperate measures if its not available to them. another story, but not really related, a friend of mine that i just found out about last night had to go through that last week, and the guy she got pregnant buy was a total dick about the situation, didnt help her pay for anything and the worst part, he didnt even go with her, so she ended up taking the train by herself! and now he's calling her like it ws no big deal! so this is a "guys-dont be a dick" story. and of course im pissed cuz she didnt call me, i would have gone with her. thats just something you dont do alone.

As a artist I listen to music while I paint. Your music is an inspiration and I couldn't go without it. Your new CD is great. They just keep getting better.

My wife tells me that i should be on the payroll because IM always telling people about your music. I am always asked if I work at Best Buy or Media Play. I've turned a lot of people on to your music and I will keep on doing so. Keep on rockin. M J T

7 pages behind again. No time to catch up now.

Listening to ITLIS while cleaning the house. Every single time I listen to this record I always have to stop what I'm doing when SEARCHING come on. I LOVE this tune. I wasn't even really paying attention to the music when it came on. Next thing I'm rockin' my head and getting into the vibe of the song, and before I know it I'm thinking "whoa! It did it again!" lol! That song pulls me in no matter what I'm doing. lol! It comes together so well, and it kicks my butt every time.

THANKS JOE!

4> "That little gem was 'I Shot the Sheriff -- and the Deputy, the Warden, a Couple of Guards, a Meter Maid, a Vending Machine, Three or Four Plants....'"

3> "And here comes another Ted Nugent rock block... Holy crap! How many albums did Ted record?"

2> "Bud Light salutes you, Mr. Gun-Toting Bambi-Killer."

and the Number 1 Thing One Might Hear on NRA Radio...

1> "Here's a long-distance dedication from Mike of Idaho. He writes, 'Dear Casey, could you play LL Cool J's 'One Shot at Love' for my girlfriend, Denise, who broke up with me last week after I shot her 'cause I thought she was a burglar'?"

better wear that hekmet just to be on the safe side....lol

oh and marie sent out the cd again today...so hopefully it will make it this time?!

Delfino Glad to hear he can't look you in the eye. But true music shouldn't be competitive, we should all enjoy and respect other people's tastes. Although some people do deserve a slap round the chops. Won't go into what music should be banned. cough 50cent 50cent 50 cent (sorry if I offended anybody, but i can hear him playing on the TV downstairs-and i hate him)

Tastey Hi - just looked at the pictures ya got. Very kool especially that bleach pen shirt thingy.. wish i could meet Joe at a signing or something.. i can't travel anywhere further than locally really, to young to drive and short of money. Shame.. but it will happen.. even if it's playing with him on stage :-D

Anybody help?? I got an ibanez S-series (S470 DX QM if that makes a difference) and i am not entirely sure on how to change the action on it, whether i should or not? Also there's a twisty bit on the opposite side of bridge to the whammy bar..what it does plz tell me, and 2 nuts either side of the straddles. Info would be much appreciated.

Cheers Aria

Hey Joe,

I saw you Monday morning on Fox 25 in Boston. Too bad they cut to an ad when you were doing "Up in Flames". Your performance of "If I Could Fly" was excellent. Definitely gives me incentive to keep practicing. Look forward to seeing you in Boston with Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy. You have to get up and jam with Steve Morse! Good luck with your CD and tour.

Stu Clone, shame on me, I don't know most of the guys you've mentioned... Gotta check 'em out!
Tonight I'm going to see Eduardo Ardanuy and his band, Dr. Sin. They'll be releasing their first live CD/DVD, 10 Years Live. These guys are hot! They opened for Joe the first time he played here, what a great night it was...

JonRobertQuinn your music is amazing! i really liked the song "Journeys" do you know how much your cd sells for at tower records? i'd like to pick it up sometime...;-)
Artanis I posted: A Christian is not someone who merely believes that God exists, nor that the Bible is true, nor that Jesus Christ is God and was sacrificed to pay everyone's debts. A Christian is someone who in addition to the above is thankful for this FREE GIFT of eternal grace and as a result decides to let God be in charge of their life and live in a way that pleases, honours and interacts with Him. Jesus Christ is your Lord and Saviour, instead of you being your Lord.

I couldn't agree more, but in addition to that...having Christ as your Lord and Saviour doesn't mean just giving him lip service. You can tell him that you love him and worship him all you want, but unless you mean it from your heart it is meaningless...And also, it's not that you need 'religion' you need a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus. He needs to be your best friend, the person you go to to talk about things that are going on in your life...the ups and downs...the successes and failures...everything!

zinc master that was hilarious! i needed the laugh!
and to end this...GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I have preordered the new satriani cd like a week before it came out, and got it quickly. When I 1st listened to it, at 1st, I didn't like the 1st 2 or 3 songs, but after a second, more closer listen, I loved them all!!! Satch has gotten more into blues and rock on this album, that is what I mainly like about it. One of the best things about satriani is that he doesn't make songs that sound like an other song. Lifestyle is like my favorite on the cd along with souls of distortion, those are my most favorite. The rest of the cd is awesome, very great cd. The only song I don't like that much is I Like the Rain, I don't know why, it is a strange song, not bad, but I just don't like that song?!?!?!
