ARTANIS - Yeah it's tough to get in over there dude. You need to be in a profession that is crying out for staff and with a job to go to. You need a degree, for NZ that gives you 25% of the entrance requirement. Failing that you need to be loaded or have family out there. My wife took what could have been the easiest route, go back packing get a job and get sponsorship - who would have thought that she would still end up back in the UK, good news for me anyway ;-)
PHRYDOM - You're welcome dude, i've got my CD done can you mail me your new address - thanks man.
MATT K - Dude if you're in a constant state of excitement perhaps you ought to get some baggier trousers !
CLARKY - Cubase comment - rofl !
DCK - Interesting read, scary thought !

Line6 You could try Favoured Nations, which is Vai's label.
Talking of Vai despite the cool shirt, we now know he is actually the son of the..................no, I'd better not go there! Good to see Billy Sheehan, though, and I thought that second photo of Steve was quite good.
So far, the vote is Crying 5 Crying Machine 1 DCK, I take it you meant to vote for crying machine there.

death cube K: Interesting read there. Some very spooky similarities. There is one big difference though. Hitler was a genius with fundamentally wrong ideas. Bush has decent enough ideas (some), but for the most part, he's an idiot.

Mr. Nick & engines of dreams: I guess that's called being in the "Ultra Zone" or as Clarky says "In Flight". I tried to duplicate it but it doesn't sound near as cool as it looks lol

death cube K - How does your vote count for five? ;-)
engines of dreams - That stinks. Maybe you'll win next time. If it makes you feel any better, I've been to 5 shows and I still haven't won the aftershow contest. I did get lucky after one of the shows, though, and I got to meet Joe outside by his bus. Maybe you can try the same thing.

greg - well spotted - I obviously play dub reggae... lol
That 'shot down' Apache didn't look very shot down to me...
no crash damage to the hull or any visible marks to show where rounds had stuck it..
my guess is that it developed some kind of mechanical fault and the pilot auto-rotated it to the ground and the crew abandoned it - the Iraqis would therefore obviously claim this as a kill....
I'm skeptical of this 'kill'
ovation - If I went to a store to buy a new RG of any model number, I'd also make sure that I'd have the spare cash to sort out the pickups - a while back I was toying with the idea of getting the new RG550EXL... knowing that I'd walk out of the store with the guitar fitted with PAF PRO's and the Ibanez pickups that it came fitted with filed nicely in the 'out-tray' - also known as 'the trash'... lol
The scratching in Satans Salad I originally did as a joke... big heavy riff and throw in a funk vibe with scratching - the funny part of the joke is that it worked... lol.. the lesson to be learned is "never be afraid to experiment - 'happy accidents' can happen"
Trutina - Our Blood On Their Hands is kinda cute.... it's not my blood so I guess it can be cute... an odd description from an all-'round odd kinda guy.... lol
Is it a ballad... Is it a trip to the mosh pit.... is it all or none of the above....
Cuteness is in the eyes and ears of the beholder....
Personally - I'm a piss poor judge of these things... lol
Death Cube - England 5 Germany 1... lol
True about Cubase - it never shows up late, trashed, pissed off, missing stands or leads and best of all... it gets bored exactly when I do... lol

Plum Loco - The backing track is down - all but one small rhythm guitar part - I need to cut the lead guitar, mix it and stick it in the post. The track is a little over 9 minutes.... typical Clarky.. a track that rambles on and on ... lol appologies for hogging CD time.... but I did shout and give everyone the chance to moan, make me edit it down before I'd commited the guitars... lol..
It's sounding very nice so far... very pretty...

Nick - Believ it or not the, electronic/digital ones are cheaper. The old style pyramid-shaped ones with the pendulum type things are really expensive...
Clarky - I shouldn't worry about it. My track is 9 minutes 41seconds. It'll be a CD of epic proportions (geddit?)... lol
Oh man, I need a shit...

mster yoda and clarky..i think my song is about 6mins long
crispin..i used soundforge to record into for the guitars. no idea about the rest of the instruments.
