I can look forward to being an even better legato player now! Thanks Joe for being such an inspireation to me to even look for more instruction....I could have not done it with out you. Mike: Check your mail this week end and give us a e-mail if you have any comments, concerns about the cd. I realy hope you did not get a bummer cd. I would just hate that...but, Disk Makers has been great for us. Mike Kenneley and John McCarthy for G3 and president! Stay safe, Randell

TheBob:It was i believe invented by the French, although the sport we know today as golf was invented by the Scots.first written reference to golf : in 1457, James II prohibited the game of golf. During the 18th century real structures appear : the first rules were written in Saint-Andrews on the 14th of May, 1754 (and were a replication of those written 10 years before in Leith). The first club is created in 1764 : the "Honorable Company of Edinburgh Golfers".

Got t wear the right strides now guv, pure pish,i hate golf

well slanshroom you just enlightened me on the history of the sport of golf....i will charish it untill i die and still to this day hate golf... i dont think anybody will ever become good at this game unless you are just...well....i'm not sure what to say yet but as soon as it comes to mind i will for sure tell everyone in the world!! the funny thing is though is i want to become really good and make millions of dollars for hitting a little white ball as far away as you possibly can with a funky looking club and then go chase it and hit it as far away as you can again, and then try to put it into a 3 inch hole!! man...what a cool sport!

Joe, what kind of effects are you using on the second half of "Bamboo" when you go into that "Are You Experienced" section? It sounds like your guitar is in reverse because all the attacks are faded in...very cool. Howdya do it?

Stace, " a black patten leather mary jane". lmao! I think a 2" heavy platform sandal would leave a bigger bruise. FYI for later use :)

Eva, take good care of Mari. Maybe you should only use your holy umberella on Sundays? lol!

mick, things are good - except that I just watched Nancy Reagan being presented with the flag off of her husbands coffin. Very sad. Went through 3 tissues. I never liked the guy as President, but he was a good man outside of that role.

TheBob, have you heard Robin Williams take on golf from his Live On Broadway DVD - funniest thing ever!!

I'm hungry!

Clarky: novjul is right, get yourself a Thomas Guide cause you'll be able to get around alot easier!!.... If you plan on staying close to the airport, the South Bay is your best bet.... There is a great hotel (right by the airport and the freeway, 405 I believe) called The Embassy Suites!!.... We stayed there when we first moved to Cali, and it is in an ideal location.... Keep us posted man....

962: Good luck on the trip man, and have a blast and bring up some stuff from the commentary disc (LATA) if you get a chance to talk to Dr. VAI.... That would be kuul to show you've done your research, lol, and I hope you can get a SIG!! :-)

Noppa: I hope you can find Dave Martone in the record stores there, but I dont think you will.... He's basically underground and Guitar Nine would be your best place to pick it up.... Good Luck and enjoy!!.... btw, kudos to you and the wife!! ;-)

dragonchild: Kuul news and have fun with mari!! :-)

mick87: Good to see ya man, and congrats on finishing your exams!!.... Have fun at work, lol, early to rise!! ;-)

slanshroom: Keep chipping at that stone brotha, I'm sure you'll do it justice, and stay kuul man!!.... Keep us posted when you get a chance....

/\/\/\R|<: Look forward to the tunes man, and kuul news on the interviews!!....

ATN / Steve Wilde: Guess what I got at the P.O. today!?!?.... lol, I really appreciate you guys hooking me up and the Experimental stuff is a refreshing change!!.... Keep up the good work, and Buzzy's World is kicking right now!!.... Thank's again guys, and thank's for that link too!!....

Ugh... My school's baseball team blew a 5-0 lead tonight and lost to Arizona. We gave up 4 runs in the ninth inning...the final score was 5-6. ::sigh::

TheBob - I could tell you who invented golf, but I think you'd enjoy Robin Williams' explanation more than mine... Go buy or rent his stand-up comedy DVD from a few years ago and enjoy. ;-)

jkp5150 - Joe just reversed a guitar track... Copy Bamboo from your CD to your computer, open it in Windows Sound Recorder, reverse it, and listen...
michelle - LOL! Yeah...I just told TheBob to check that out before I read your post... Man, I love that bit...
OCPS470 - I agree... I wish Joe would have come up with a few more bluesy tracks and released all of them before the G3 tour...then he could have spent more time with the cool ("weird", in your words) songs and built a more complete album around them.

I love the spacey stuff Joe did on ITLIS?...I hope his next album is a continuation of that...

I dont think Joe was that spacey on ITLIS....I am growing to like it. slowly........

HELL YEAH! POST 666!

MikeY D: Are you Hispanic? Just curious...Mike DeRosa. Learning more about names...

Many of you guys will not like me for this (nothing new), but Steve Vai has nothing in front of Buckethead. I have been listening to Vai for a while but Buckethead smokes him. Steve just cannot transmit his emotions using his guitar, Buckethead can do that (Colma, Electric tears...). Nonetheless, Steve is good too.

A Question For Joe:

I was wondering if you have ever atempted to play other peoples songs, for example Steve Vai or Yngwie Malmsteen?

I also heard that you taught Steve Vai and Kirk Hamett (Metallica) or gave lessons to them. Is this true? I can believe you giving lessons to Kirk Hamett because you can here a resembalance in the style of guitar playing. But Steve Vai, that's awesome.

I was also wondering how your first live performance felt on stage? Were you nervous? Only asking because I would have screwed up badly for my first time, I just know it.

My favorite guitarists are Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Jimmy Hendrix.

And does anybody know about good guitar sites that have lessons on them. I just want to perfect my skills. I can play almost anything that I attempt to play. Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Jimmy Hendrix, Metallica, Led Zeplin, Black Sabath, The Eagles, Candle Box, etc. Just about anything I can play.

Does anybody have good warm-up exercises.
