I don't know if the information is accurate, but this article says that Epic Records will release The Satch Tapes on DVD this fall.

Pretty cool, huh? It's about time. ;-)

Zachary!!!

Can't wait to try the "Trembolt" you can count on me to say some good things about it... that's for sure...

Yeah, the alternate tunings thing you were discussing sounds cool, as I miss that with my old axe... which just had a standard stop tail piece bridge... which in that case is very easy to tune to an alternate tuning... Sounds like an Eddie Van Halen D-Tuna plus much more... again I can't wait...

I await the product anxiously!!!

Peace!!

Barrie!!

Matt King!! you might want to try the Trembolt!!

Sounds like a neat little novelty for a guitar player... and you trying & testing the product would be an extra added bonus... people trust you, and if its really worth their while to try the product and with a little persuasion and persistance, maybe Joe could try it as well, seeing that he is the guru of modern guitar and all it's inventions whether it be electronic or technically enhancing the Axe... I'm sure Joe would come through in that case that could change to an alternate tuning in the middle of a song with the flick of a lever and wammo... instant open tuning which can really open new horizons in guitar playing...

Joe,

I have been a fan of yours for a long time now. I took a woman that I have been dating to your show last year in Portland, OR and she loved your music. I am taking her again this year to see you in Portland the 16th of October, as a surprise. Can You say Hi to Dee Klager after one of your songs for me? It would mean a lot, as this woman is the most special person I have known in my lifetime. I listen to your music and it has a very positive effect on my day.

Thanks,

John Williams

trutina, that's a great quote..lol...I'm sure Joe could easily smoke the both of them if he really wanted to.....honestly though I have'nt even heard any of Vai's stuff yet, and I'm certain that it is'nt Joe's style to show anyone up.

Hi Joe, Iwas checking out your live in San Fransisco DVD and noticed you were using Seymore Duncan pickups in your Chrome boy Guitar. Any particular reason for the switch from Dimarzio? Thanks , and I'm looking forward to G3 in Boston!

Joe

After many years listening to you doing it so well, I've been trying to do a bit of my own thing and enjoying doing it just for the shear hell of it. If you want to hear a bit of how your style has influenced another guitarist, click here. No lightning riffs, just good guitar tone and a funky techno loop. I tried to fuse dance beat with guitar in this one.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/2/mikemccartney.htm

I guess a big thanks to you for bringing forward guitar music to where it is today. It is an amazing instrument when you consider the amazing tones Duane Eddy was pully out of it 40 years ago. If you ever do a G3 gig in Azerbaijan I'll be there for sure :)

Enjoy !!

trutina i gotta disagree with the quote. Satch is a freaking amazing soloist god almighty but yngwie is king... of all.

BEEZER dont sweat it man. At my school nobody has an inch of talent except for my crew (luke arsenault is my friend and a freaking smoking player (will be featured in a song of mine soon)) and if you know your good and those other people don't know it who cares. THERE STUPID! and if you can't live with that learn to throw your guitar around like yngwie!

Blue07: Joe has two chromed JS guitars- they are called Chromeboy and Pearly. Chromeboy has Dimarzio pickups (Fred in the bridge and PAF-Pro in the neck). Pearly has Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups. Unfortunately, Pearly was stolen last year during a concert in Florida. Joe's guitars usually have Dimarzio pickups on them.

Hey there, is it true that the Toronto Massey Hall show on November 6 has sold out?

i have my tickets but a friend wanted to get some, and three days after they went on sale, ticketmaster.ca doesn't seem to have any left -- at any price level or number of seats.

Is this the first show to sell out?

fusion - a quick tip in life- if you're going to refer to someone as "stupid", use "they're stupid", not "there stupid"

Sorry, I am one of these monsters who goes round correcting people when they say "less" instead of "fewer".

Anyway, I'm off to Guildford tomorrow, just finishing my packing. I'm sure I'll hang around here sometimes, and stuff but probably not all that regularly! If there's anything you edesperately want to say to me, sometime in the next 7 hours would be good.

awwwww..... jelly man beat me to it...
"there stupid" is just classic, though...

also, funny story i gotta share with everybody... i was browsing a friends website, where he has a lot of music files in an mp3 folder. one of the subfolders was labeled "yngwie music"
i really haven't heard much yngwie except the stereotypes and two or three tunes, and i had also heard he had really changed over the years, so i decided to check it out.

::click

folder was empty,
the irony is just too much. i was laughing waaaaaaay too hard.

Sounds like you got it worse from Isabel than I did- strange when you think about it. Here I just had wind blowing all day Thursday, and watched little chunks of tree occasionally detach themselves outside my apartment, but nothing big. My parents (who were a little closer in to the track of the storm) had a good-size branch blow down and lot some of a fence behind the garage. On the other hand, their power never did anything other than flicker, whereas I spent a couple of hours without it. And oddly enough, I live in the city and they're out in the middle of nowhere!

Strange how things work. Anyway, glad to hear that tings didn't get too nasty.

Anyway must go, but hopefully ill be able to get back soon and read all of the stuff i missed!
