Clarky: yeah... Joe's guitars have a compound radius to the fretboard. Up top, it's similar to a strat. I think it's about a 12-13" inch radius. Then the radius gradually widens towards the body. I think it's something like 15-16" at the body. I'm not exactly sure what they measure, check the Ibanez site, they may have the dimensions posted. Anyway, Gary has stated that he has to shim the saddles in order to get it as low as Joe likes. If your axe has a single radius to it, just put some shims under the saddles to match, and you're all set. You may have to make them. I made mine out of brass, with a dremel tool. I wanted the base of my edge to be the same height at both the treble and bass sides, so I shimmed the lower three saddles to make up the distance.
Hope that helps.

um... Barry White is dead, isn't he?
And Stevie Ray Vaughan couldn't even name a chord... I guess Hendrix too, played all by ear. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

re billy sheehan .. i'm not speculating, i'd asked him a question about notation and that's what he told me. go watch his lesson on guitar.com (you'll have to hunt around for a bit) and he iterates that there too .. about how he intuitively knows what key he's playing in, but has no idea WHAT he's playing technically speaking.

I was at your PA show and tried to do the meet and greet thing (buying the jacket) and found out it was sold L. I wanted to get an autograph for my son (Dominic) and I. He is 3 and I swear he watches Live in San Fran EVERY DAY! I think it is great but the wife sometimes wants to watch HGTV. Can you please send me an autograph picture? If not I understand.
Thanks for your time Joe,
Dom

I'm going to the Beacon tonight...front row center! I am praying John is there tonight, would love to see him again with Joe. That G3 tour was incredible (Class x3). Still I am looking very forward to this evening, it's going to rock. It is my first time posting but I will be back with a review of how intense it was. Have a great day all! JOE YOUR THE BEST!

Hello Joe:
I just signed up to your website, its great, i saw you on tour in monterrey mexico in G3 last year, great show. Are you planning to come back ??
I want to know, two things how do you make the guitar scream that way, and how do you know the exact tones of your feedback like in flying in a blue dream ??
aaaa something else what´s your practice regime? how many hours? what do you study? etc... have patience heh

the reason I would pick Joe over Hendrix is becuase what Joe does with his hands is more impressive, he also can sing better and is a better person. He is not a drugged up loser who died from a drug overdose. He cares about the music and his fans. He is overall a better person and a better guitar player.
