Musterion is prob my favorite it the mo,it reminds me of a darker version of flying in a blue dream.I just wanna rock does really stand out and was the right choice for the single as for the others i think they are all growers which gives the whole package longevity. As for my children"they just wanna rock"

Turkey Man is on a very hard to find CD called Additional Creations. You might try ebay. If you're REALLY desperate, I think a few Russian music downloading sites have it.

Dog with Crown and Earring (along with Tumble) are available for listening on the listening party for Is There Love in Space? which can be found on the media page of foreverjoe.com That page also has Talk to Me if you can get it to play for you.

Ghosts is only available on itunes with a complete album download, as was done with Tumble from Is There Love in Space?.

Thanks for the new album Joe, always a treat when you release new material - have been buying/listening to your music since SWTA.

I have attended a number of your shows in Las Vegas, but one in particular really stood out for me - a few years ago you did a show by yourself (before your more recent G3 or w/Eric Johnson shows), the set was at least 3+ hours with an intermission inbetween. Do you have any plans to repeat this style of performance in the future? Not that I minded anything about the other shows, but there was something special about the long solo set with the extended jams.

One way or another, I am looking forward to another US tour after your European gigs are done.

Do The Stu - I was the guy that asked about Revelation. I was so nervous when i was talking to Joe! I was going to ask about G3 but the caller ahead of me was going to ask that so I had no idea what to ask!!! Then the producer asked me what my favorite song was on the album so I asked about the idea for Revelation. Such a great song.

I love new music favorites on the album are the campy but enjoyable "i just wanna rock" ...more cowbell, and wasnt that a twisted sister song? every element of an 80's rock hit...seeing the video made it more enjoyable, hope he brings the bot on tour.....

IMHO " come on baby" was the best song, reminded me a bit of Eric Johnson...maybe a little mellow for some taste but definately smooth and cool. I thought "out of the sunrise" was also very good. classic sounding Joe. some of the other songs were a little too experimental for my taste but time will tell, joe's songs sometimes take a bit to be appreciated. I would rather he try left field on a song or 2 than to crank out the same sounding stuff over and over.

I thought "Andalusia" was going to be an accoustic throw down by Joe (from the sample byte) but it turned out to be so much more. I thought the clapping or castanetts or whatever should have been behind the guitar part and was mildly disappointed when the song went electric, but the jamming made me quickly forgive the change....I wish around the 5 minute mark he would have held on a high end guitar scream, faded out, and returned to accoustic giving the song an ebb and flow feel (maybe next album?) instead Joe cranks up the intensity on his electric guitar making it scream, do electronic seagulls, squeal and moan, shred and spill a few more intense riffs. I wouldn't doubt if on its last note the guitar was smoking. I would like to see if he could play it like that live, night after night.

I have bought most every album and dvd by Joe and have never been disappointed. Keep em coming Joe!!!

Actually, I too am really disappointed with the direction of the new album and I've heard a few others say so as well. I've really been too pissed the last two days to even post about PSATMOR...I went out on April 1st with such high hopes that Joe would finally de-throne Summer Song or CP with some new, high-pitched rockers. The most aggressive tunes on the new record are Asik and Andalusia. They both have aggressive moods but both also meander too much and have no solid hooks. They seem to be stuck on the end of the album almost as if they were an afterthought.

Has anyone else noticed the solos on the last three albums are almost completely free-form and don't seem to relate back to the main melody? Just sticking wild meandering solos for 4 minutes at the end of songs does not define a 'structured' rocker. Maybe it's just me, but I like more order than that in the music I listen to and Joe used to consistently deliver solos that connected album after album. The songs are just all over the map on this one, which we expect from a Joe release, but the overall mood is very mellow/somber just like the last two albums. We basically still have the "essence" of Joe's old sound but without the balance of structured upbeat rockers/hooks like the aforementioned Summer Song or others like Lords of Karma, Circles, Ceremony, Speed of Light(pure Genius), Extremist, Up in the Sky, Big Bad Moon, One Big Rush, etc. I really don't mind a few meandering tracks on an album because I know Joe needs room to experiment, but UncleScorp has a point when he says this album(and in all honesty the last few) lacks straight ahead rockers. Even CP's Psycho Monkey had a hook and that was a pretty weird tune...If you think of these songs and other Joe greats they all have memorable hooks you can hum. Can anyone here hum a hook from Andalusia?

So, I listened to Rockline last night to see if I could glean some insight into Joe's thinking on his style's evolution. What I came away with was that he's in an even more experimental mood than ever these days which is a GOOD thing and a BAD thing at the same time. The GOOD is that he's still creating cool new sounds, but the BAD in my opinion is that there seems to be less of an effort to do cool aggressive hooks/albums with cohesive themes and more of an effort to do unplanned meandering jams and slow to mid-speed ballads. Joe himself said the album was all over the place, and that they didn't even have a title until the project was done.

I realize I sound negative here which is a real shame because anyone who knows me at all knows I'm very positive. I still respect Joe and his work, it's just I've felt so let down by everything since CP that I had to speak out and voice my opinion. I know he still has the ability in him if he ever decides to do another straight away rock album like Extremist or CP. I guess the right mood just has to strike him....so I'll continue to wait for the next GREAT one.

Its actually pretty easy for me to define too. I'll know its arrived when it has rockers like the ones listed above, a journey track like the song Time Machine and one or two slow to mid-tempo sweet gems like Cryin' , AWYAWM. Hell, I wouldn't even mind a vocal track as I am part of the minority of fans that finds Joe's singing cool. Man, remember Can't Slow Down, Ride!......Now THAT will be an album that kicks some major @ss!

Should I do a track by track breakdown of PSATMOR?...

I Have 3 live Videos of you and 3 G3 concerts. You are right there in that Paul Gilbert choice. He is way more than just a shredder from back in the day. I have all the Racer X cds and a live one from them. I think the top 4 of them goes in this order for me. The Guitarist with the coolest smile was Eddie Van Halen. My first inspiration Tapsman is his nickname. I then heard all about the blond tonesmith with coolest hairdo of all Randall William Rhoads. Two totally different styles I must say. Then I heard of this giant Passionate guitarist name of Steve Vai. I Saw Yngwie before I bought any Steve Vai cds. A million notes a minute with beautiful melodies. Then I heard of you. I think you are the top sir. I saw you once at the CAINS' Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I even knew about STU STU back then. Tracks 1,4,5 and 9 are so incredible sir. Your newest cd is so great Professor Satchafunkalis. C-Ya
