Yngwie Malmsteens 'prelude to April' sounds like something out of a kiddie christmas theme, "be good or santa is going to take you to Father Daniel" kind of thing. He still amazes me by his speed. that being said, he uses the same formula on every album. Redundant, it makes it!
clarky: He needs to learn about the 'vegina' when he turns 18. For now, I will keep on confusing him. Its cool how some things can be vegetarian and non-vegetarian at the same time.
damn, joe is playing some sweet stuff for EWJS. good job, master.
ps: Why the hell do people overdub a freakin crowd in their live albums. Kiss did that and I just realised that Shreddy Bear did the same. Its so freakin annoying.

Doesn't anyone know about whether you can get platinum passes/tickets for shows in England?
Sorry- don't wish to become a poster who posts the same thing over and over...
Had a really crap day at work today, just been watching Kill Bill to relax... (substitute "Bill" for "my boss" maybe and it would all be fine!)

suzie2000 - there haven't been any Satriani gigs since the platinum passes were introduced- my theory is that it is unlikely, since most satriani gig places are standing, and that doesn't walk with rows... but it might happen...

Hey Joe.
Sadly my husband missed your G3 tour in Birmingham U.K this year. The reason being that although his friend and he both had tickets his friend's dad was taken ill the day before and had to pull out of the trip to Birmingham. Unfortunatley we didn't have enough funds for me to accompany my husband so he also had to miss out. He was absolutley devastated. He has eat, drunk and slept Joe Satriani since we met seven years and a long time before that too.
I need to know if you'll come here again....He thinks not....I promise that if you do we'll certainly not miss the next one.
Cheers Charzzy9

Hello @ all :)
I'm 18 years old and a Joe Satriani fan from Germany. I have an important question and hope that someone can help me. I am playing an Ibanez JS1000. But in connection with this guitar im using an amp including Marshall JMP-1 + Alesis Quaddraverb + Alesis Ra-100 with 2 marshall boxes. But by mere coincidence the sound really sucks and thats the crunching point. It's very disappointing that this sound is so bad when i am playing Satriani Songs like "Crush of Love" "All Alone" "Crystal Planet". :(
So my question is, what stuff is Joe Satriani playing ? I only know that he often uses Peavey stuff. Also i saw an amp on this page, called the "JRX" published by Peavey. Is Joe playing this amp, or a differnt one?
I would be very pleased if someone could help me, because i want to have a sound like Satriani. His sound is really really amazing :)

To all those people who have questions regarding that fanfare bullshit: I ordered tickets from them as well. They said at worst, the tickets will be available at the will call section of the theater the day of the event.

ok so i know it isnt exactly the same style, but has anyone checked out the guitar work in the motorcycle diaries soundtrack? kicks ass! the only complaint i have about it is that i wish the songs were developed a bit more, instead of the 23 songs on the cd, it would be great if there was 13 full length ones! if you have the chance you should check out the movie as well... its amazing!
anyway... hope all in satchland have a good afternoon and all you up in the north enjoy the rest of your thanksgiving!

gordon stu's old live effects: digitech bass whammy (as an octave box), boss chorus, boss digital delay, and sansamp distortion. that's generally about it, if anything at all.
he's more recently been using the peavey BAM series bass amps that have integrated effects.

O.K...Call me an old timer but I have been listening to Joe since the 80's.I must say that I really don't see what all the excitement is about the new JSX amp.I saw Joe live at Jones Beach, NY in August & I saw him before the "Big change"...I didn't like the new sound at all.Even on the Album,it sounded very muddy in the lows but did however, get some good highs.Nontheless I prefer Joe's old Marshall tone way better...Call me crazy, call me an Asshole but I am sure I am not the only Asshole that feels this way.Maybe Joe is tired of the old sound & wants something new but in my opinion - he is trying to re-invent the wheel.....I have listened to ITLIS over & over again & quite frankly,I just can't warm up to the JSX amp at all.....
There!..I finally said my peace:)

Jblaze1, i have to agree with you about the jsx amp. the main thing joe loves about this amp and the thing he uses the most is the clean channel. the majority of joe's sound comes from his pedals and his playing technique. lets face it you could give him any decent guitar and amp setup and he could make it sound great because of his talent alone. If you are using pedals to create your sound just about any good tube amp would sound great. i prefered the matshall sound better too. by the way i own a 30th anniversary marshall combo with no pedals and the sound is fantastic. If i had my chioce between a jsx and a 30th abnniversary i would take the marshall

BTW...anyone who agrees with me doesn't make them an @$$#oLe:)
Jelly man:This may be a stupid question but I know what he uses on the LISF but does he use a Marshall on the L.I.D.....Maybe I should score a LID to find out..get it?..lol..
