Thank God for Colonel Sanders...

I love KFC. I would suggest KFC to start selling deep fried whole turkeys for thanksgiving and help live the American dream to the max.

I also suggest companies like Glaxo and Pfizer to start selling drugs that are deep fried in KFC.

Just a thought.

Clarky,

All of the quantities that have "Planck" attached to their name can ultimately be understood from the concept of the "Planck mass." The Planck mass, roughly speaking, is the mass a point particle would need to have for its classical Schwarzschild radius (the size of its event horizon, if you like) to be the same size as its quantum-mechanical Compton wavelength (or the spread of its wave-function, if you like). That mass is 1019 GeV/c2, or about 10-8 kilograms.

My father was a Rocket Scientist...he helped design the LEM vehicle that landed on the Moon & the Grumman F-14 swing wing fighter jet...aside from some other flying machines.

But I really don't have any Fargin Ideas what the Farg that all means!

Happy Thanksgiving Satchland !!!!

Hey...do we have any harmonica players in here? For as long as I've been playing music, I don't know which harmonica would be used for the key the band is playing in....for instance...if the song is in E....do you use an A harp or is it a B harp?......or is it the kind you always see cherubs and angels playing? Bwaa-ha-ha-ha ! Seriously though.....I'm a dumb-ass when it comes to harmonicas and I've been thinking about learning. Peace, SD

SOTD....."Turkey Man"......what else? Bwa-ha-ha-ha

Hi guys....

my website is done. There is nothing to it though. I am currently setting up a page on mp3.com, but here is a more personal website.

If you would like a link to your webpage, please let me know.

I hope you enjoy and please sign my guestbook. At the moment only my (shhhh!) 48 year old boss has signed it. Would be nice to hear from you!!!

My website (I am NOT kidding): Jazzzzzzzy's website

Met Mr. Catfish comin' down stream. Says Mr. Catfish, "What does you mean?" Caught Mr. Catfish by the snout, And turned Mr. Catfish wrong side out. Turkey in the straw, turkey in the hay, Roll 'em up and twist 'em up a high tuckahaw And twist 'em up a tune called Turkey in the Straw.

Happy Turkey day to all, watch out for the effects of typtophan...
Today is the day I start to learn to read music. Better late than never... Holy Lochrian mode Batman!! Wish me luck.
DCK, maybe I can help you out transcribing those Dimeola sixty-fourth notes lmao!!! As you mentioned, Al stepped out of his New Jersey basement in the early '70ies at the tender age of 17 with his fully formed awesome technique. Have you tracked down his very earliest recording? I think it was 1974 with Chick Corea's Return to Forever "Where Have I Known You Before". I first heard him shredding the lights out on a Stomu Yamashta live album from Paris... You can bet I was plenty impressed back in '75-76......

SteveeeeeeeT, I actually started playing guitar in the womb, plucking away on amniotic fibres and residue LMAO.. Lets just say I am in your ballpark and old enough to have started having arthritic finger probs....

I got my first guitar in 1970 after having heard the first Black Sabbath album and Santana Abraxas, my first two album purchases earlier that same year....

That first guitar was a red piece of crap Silvertone that I paid $20 for. I had my first Gibson SG, with a Bigsby trem, within a year and smashed the shit out of that Silvertone in my garage while plugged in on 12....

Stevee, once again I am a victim of my age. No site yet, my only recorded "Works" (chuckle aloud) are vintage 1978-1984 on several reel to reel tapes. I had a beat up overdubbing dual track (left and right) machine that allowed me to record a track, transfer that track to the other side while overdubbing etc etc. I got some stuff with about 5 overdubs. My style at the time was "fusion era" Gary Moore meets the Allman Bros via Wishbone Ash LMAO...

Do2222, i like the principal, but I think it would detract from the smart yet simple appearance of this t2j setup. Also, jazzzzy is right....for people like me with slow connections, it would take hours rather than minutes to check through new posts.

Suzie, sounds like you're very much in control with the cold situation! Show that SOB who's boss! hehe
TheBob, dude, thanks so much for your SOTD rating! You're too kind! I'm really glad you're diggin that tune, it really inspires me to dig my toes in and try harder to write more stuff! Thanks again
Clarky, haha, thing is, the people who pick holes in theoretical physics never understand it.....they pick holes in it cause it's theoretical. I personally disagree that you have to have a good grasp of quantum mechanics to get theoretical physics - I have the grasp of a young, starved child on anything advanced-mathematical, but I can get soime theoretical physics stuff. like string theory. That is so fucked up though.....
jazzzzzy, thanks for the mail dude! hehe, the new ones are funny, tho I still really like the "Joe Mama" edit, it's dead classy!
delfino, haha, you're welcome dude! If you help me with my CV, maybe I can get a job at Hooters! I'd need tits tho....hehe, I know, your hooters is a music shop!
opticalstudio, man no way am I a Paul Clark or a Joe, but dude, I appreciate the generosity of your kind words! Regards recording platform, I'm using Cubase SX2, and I record the guitar through an M-Audio USB sound card. No I don't have a band at the moment....where I live is kinda sparse, in just about every way, so I'm kinda thinking I'll put together about an hour's-worth of material, and then get a band who can play it! And then i'll record it properly in a studio with a real drummer!

Do you have somewhere that I can download your mp3's, or even samples, cause I can't listen to streaming-audio.....my connection is too slow! if you do, please let me know!

Thanks again dude, and a (belated) happy thanksgiving!

mikesb, I could have sworn Andy is from Austin! either way, it makes no odds, cause the man is an absolute f*ck*n genius....I am completely addicted to his music. I got ear X-tacy 2 recently....it kicks so much ass. I wanna see Andy on the next G3 that gets filmed, his stage presence (judging by what little footage i've seen) is perfect for the part.
gotta go teach, back later...

Hi Joe, my name is Kamil. I'm Czech, staying in USA since August last year. I'm a big fan of yours, your music is just amazing. I went to your concert, which was in Beacon theatre in New York and I had a great time. I was listening your Is there love is space listening party on your web site. I have this album already, but your introduction to each song makes the album even better, more understandable. It gives to each song authenticity and connection to each motiv and melody. Is there possibility to get it somewhere as well with the bonus songs (dog with earring..) Thanks a lot, have a great time and I hope to see you again in New York or maybe sometimes in theCzech Republic in Prague. Kamil.

Just catching up from posts overnight.....

SupaaDave: Hey, you SHOULD learn to play mouth harp!! It's really cool and you can take it anywhere to whip out when you're bored! My son is teaching himself to play and is really enjoying it!

Jazzzzzzzzzzzy: "^^^post whore" You crack me up! Your web page is a good start, my fav pic is the Oasis one of Joe..great colors!

NammMan: okay, who is the cook at your house? That's an impressive menu you've got going there...how do we all get an invite for dinner? ;)

DCK: You sound as though you're a harmonica player...yes? And if so, how long and what kind of music do you like to play? My son loves to play the blues both on guitar and mouth harp.....he's got a lot to learn but loves it!

To all in Satchland, and especially to Joe, his family, friends and crew: A very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving. Regardless of how you spend the day, whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or not, or what you eat (KFC!! LOL) I bet there are many things you can be thankful for. It's a good day to think about them and drive away the negatives that we all surely endure in our lives, even if only for a little while! Have a great day everyone!

Personaly, I don't listen to any of My hero's at all during My recording and songwriting, I think I got that from You??!! Did'nt You say something similar?...Even Joe, For the first time I read his MS interview here on the site and He said very likewise word's...He wanted to create His Own style and craft His own sound and technioque. And Maybe that's Why You sound way cool!...You have a tone and style, sound that you crafted and it's ultimately unioqe!...Maybe? Yes? I really sort of feel over whelmed By the talent out there! and expect to go nowhere, I am alredy set for all sort's of "You Suck!!"
