Stevee T - Clapton did "Over The Rainbow" as his encore when we saw him in 2001. I would have enjoyed it more if the drunken woman sitting next to my husband was not singing it "torch song " style into his ear. Very distracting. Good thing I have a sense of humor.

FENDER actually does have stipulations about people using their design. It has to be something like 15% different.

For instance, I just got a new pickguard for my strat copy, and it doesn't fit, because it's for a real strat.you can't really get parts for my guitar, so I had to basically get new holes drilled, and the old ones now show.

I could care less about PRS vs Gibson, although I hate Gibson even more than PRS.They both blow.

PLATINUM TICKET EXPERIENCE..Well put Simon..kind of,,,I dont understand the BIG DEAL with the whole thing. I too have all of Joe's cds..I too have shirts & dvds,,I chose to buy them because I love the music the man puts out. His music pretty much helped save me from a death from alcoholism. (Another story in a different life)..Why shouldnt they be offered?? A single mom has a kid that chooses to play guitar rather than do drugs because of Joes music,,he has a chance to meet his idle,,PLATINUM TICKETS are offered,,his mom buys them,,he gets to meet his idle..FREAKIN GREAT!! THE KID LIVES HIS DREAM!! I too bought PLATINUM TICKETS for the GROVE SHOW,,It was one of THE BEST experiences ive had at a JOE SHOW. It was very personal and well worth the amount of $$ spent for 2 tickets. Lets face it..in the music industry just about EVERYONE make $$ on an artist. THATS THE WAY IT IS. Out of all the rock people ive met,,Joe IS the most personal,,kind,,& gracious person of them all. He chose to allow PLATINUM TICKETS for his fan base,,NOT THE $$!! Plus it keeps people from SNEAKING into sound checks uninvited. The road is a hard life & dont think that Joe is not tired after a few weeks of touring,,BUT he chooses to take the time to meet his fans through AFTERSHOW PASSES & GOLD & PLATINUM TICKET EXPERIENCES after each and every show. Hell..back in the day the only way to meet a rock star was if you were a "PERSON" the star wanted to MEAT. Joe & Steve,,amongst others have changed that & made it possible for those of us that CHOOSE to BUY GOLD & PLATINUM tickets. WHAT A CONCEPT that is. DO THE BEST FOR YOUR FANS THAT YOU CAN!! Yeah,,the tickets arent cheap..save your change like I did & Im sure others aswell. You never know,,Joes music might spare YOUR kid from the life of drugs & alcohol through his music & the love & respect he gives his fans. FOR CHRIST'S SAKES isnt there enough goin on in the world?? Now we have to read how people are upset because a man wants to please his fans and some people cant afford to buy the experience thats being offered?? GOD HELP US ALL!! JOE..WE LOVE YOU,(AT LEAST MOST OF US DO) KEEP THE GOLD & PLATINUM GOIN...DAKOOK

Castle49....Dianne... :) I'll be sure to post pics after the show if I'm allowed to take any!! I sure hope they let me bring my camera in.......

Dakook, Chris and I LOOOOOVED the Platinum tix I bought for Joe's December 26th show in San Fran.... I too am a single mom with a kid who was literally saved by Joe's music. At that meet and greet experience, Chris was able to tell Joe what he meant to him and how he and his music saved his life. I would not have traded that experience for anything in the world for either of us. Even though Joe was so sick and we were so worried about him, it was still one of the best nights and experiences of our lives.

No matter whether we get to meet Joe at the aftershow or not, his concerts are the best things we EVER do!!! I think the Platinum and Gold ticket packages should be here to stay, and for those who can afford them, GREAT!!! I prolly never will be able to afford the Platinum's again, but am always thrilled for anyone who can cuz I know what they are going to experience, and it's the BEST!!! I'll just happily buy my regular tix like everyone else now....... :)

Joe, thanks for everything you are, and everything you do. We love ya!!

962 - "Clarky, time to start externalising different instruments to see if you can keep the power and defnition without loosing the spread."

bro, what do you mena by externalising?
I'm not sure I follow you?

SteveeT - the rhythm guitars are recorded in stereo
Slansh - hahaaa.... the more I study this the more I realise that tudio engineering is an art and a science...

complex and clever... I'm beginning to enjoy this now...

I'm learning a great deal..

Mari - things are great thanx... how's about you...
I know Blackheath well, it's up high so there should be some nice London skyline opportunities....

funny... I'm listening to Shredz too... lol..

trying to mix the poxy thing... lmao...

mixing grief - guys, having studied this subject in detail, I now know what the issue was...
frequency masking
this was caused by two key factors
1 - the sheer size of the orchestration
2 - me knowing fuck all about EQ
I'm now beginning to discover the amazing possibilities that come about by using "complimentary EQ" methods
things are now improving greatly - though they are still a pain in the rear... lol...

once I've mapped out the principle EQ configuration for The Rape, the rest should follow pretty much the same basic model - crack the handle and the rest will be sorted nice and easy...

this has been a huge learning curve for me...
frustrating at times but hugely satisfying now that I see things vastly improving...

On Michelle's comment about space and resources.
First and foremost, Michelle, this is in no way an attack on you (I Love ya Man).
My question would be what are we willing to give up to make the planet better?
The #1 problem, in my opinion, is planes and automobiles.
Did anyone notice when all air traffic was grounded ( 9/11) how clean the air became? Sure, there are hybrid cars. 30 miles to the gallon, right (please correct me if Im wrong)? I had a Ford in 1989. A new model and they screwed up. It was getting 50 miles per gallon on the highway! The next year, that model was down to 28 miles per gallon. Hummm. Do you see where I'm going with this?
There have been hydrogen powered buses for 20 years now! Yet this is a new technology?
So. Are you ready to give up your tranportation? Your Electricity, your easy life as compared to 150 years ago?
That would be the only way you could take away the power of the people that have that all important commodity
OIL
I don't think that power would be given up easily! We must work on alternative energy. Then give it away!
Now!!! How many of us ( the people of Earth ) are ready to do that.
That is the real question!
It still comes down to Power and money! Are we all ready to grow up and stop playing games?
Comments please!
Don.
