Not a bad past few days.

Got the Strong Bad Email .exe DVD set.

Saw King's X from a distance of about 5 feet away....they rocked the house and Ty Tabor is a VERY nice fellow. Chatted with the band after the show.

Got the G3 '05 DVD. Holy bejeezus.....still can't make up my mind about which part I like best. But I do have a question.....how in the hell can Billy Sheehan channel such a deep Billy Gibbons-esque voice when his pants are so damned tight? ;-)

Zenfish Ok, Maybe you would like to see some other guitar players, some that are considered legends, like page or santana etc.. or other ones who are just great players, but I remember that Joe said ones that some of those players does not want to be part of the G3 or they are just too busy, also Joe said ones that he would like to have a DVD of every single G3 show. but the RECORD COMPANY didn't... so do not think that this commercial surface is Joe's idea; I would say it's the RECORD COMPANY'S idea.

I have a Total Guitar magazine were they ask Joe wich was his favorite G3 show (always they ask this ya know haha), and he said that petriccie was a blast, and he regreted not recording it cause the record company did not think it would be economically reliable ... something that as we all know now, Joe stand for what he liked and enjoys, and got the record company doing the G3 we are enjoying now.

I'm not trying to argue, just that I think you have to picture all the scene.

Zenfish: what is wrong with you man? You and everybody else bashing the G3 should stop. We live in a time where the guitar has been forgotten, by most rock bands. By guitar, I mean GUITAR; like Joe's, Steve's, Clapton's, Vaughan's. A few bands are starting to add more guitar to their sound, but is not even close to what it used to be. My point is, I would take any guitar overdose I could find nowadays and shut up. Of course, we all have our favorite G3 line-up, and I respect that, but to blame it all on Joe, is sad. I am thankful this guy decided to do what we all dreamed of seeing on stage, three of the best guitar players in the world, going at it!!! If you ask me, I want to see Clapton join the G3, that would be huge, or Jonny Lang, EVH, Nuno Bentancourt, I mean, man, I wish I could hang out on stage with Joe and Steve, but dude, I rather watch these guys and not complain. The G3 idea was great, and still is. I think it should continue the same way. I tell you what though, John Petrucci really impressed me, he is a rare hybrid between Malmsteen, Eric Johnson and Joe, seriously. Well, I rest my case. Joe is a great guy, but the bigger his name gets, the more control the record companies are going to try to have over his decisions. Let's just pray he never sells out for a big contract.

Dude, it sounds like you are trying to promote your music!! Why are you banging on Joe so much? Why do you hang out here then? Is it because you found a free platform to vent?

You have made some very good critical analyses of a number of guitarists regarding their styles, technical merits and limitations etc. It seems to me that you try to look deep into their souls to understand where they are coming from.

However, you seem to be in a hurry, some of the less enlightened don't want to race through the garden, they just like to sit awhile, close their eyes and smell the flowers. Who cares if some don't smell as nice as others.

Having said all that, you have made some thought provoking posts.

Keep rocking

Steve.

My ambitions

1. Get on the fan web.site - yeah done it 2. See Joe in concert :) Is it just a dream 3. Shake his hand and say thanks....now your just being silly!!

Hi everybody, I'm so busy these days and next week...the windows of my house will be changed, what a drag! but it's necessary...

Regarding G3...yeah, I agree with Zenfish, we all know the "gods", the famous guitarists, we all have our favorite G3 line-up, hundreds of combinations...but what about the new generation? there are so many awesome guitarists around...some of them are on this site for example ;-), so it would be so great to see this G3 for the future...

Joe Satriani, Steve Vai (or other guitar star) & an amazing unknown guitarist for each city from every country or state!

And this could promote guitar music around the world too and would fill new guitarists' hearts with a huge inspiration.

From and for my city Madrid, I would love to see for example, Mr JORGE SALAN! He is absolutely awesome.

Check this out! http://www.jorgesalan.com/running.mp3

JOE, JORGE SALAN FOR G3!!!

Bye for now :-)
