For the people who didn't get it... that was Avarice's first ever post on T2J... hey Avarice.. is there a pic of the "real you" on this site anywhere? Just wondering.... ;-) If yes, don't worry - I won't say anything...
Crystal Planet: using MIDI with your Pod, if it's anything like the V-Amp, will also enable you to get patches off the net and send them to your unit
Clarky: yeah, but I thought only the expensive (Eventide, etc) units could harmonise where *you* play more than one note?

Oh well.CANT WAIT!!!!!!!
This is gonna be the highlight of my year!I got my 15 year old cousin in to Joe,and he is gonna go to the portland show with me. :)

Naty - Yes my young dog does have Italian blood in him from one of the top Italian breeders.
Avarice - I'm not going to get angry at your post but treat it with the contempt it deserves.
Local Person - we will be watching Alan Patridge tonight, if we don't forget.
JOE how are you doing, when are you coming back in the house.

HEY JOE, YOU'RE WORKIN' YOUR AS OFF MAN. I RESPECT YOU AND LOVE FOR IT. YOU'RE SHARING YOUR GIFT WITH ALL OF US WHO CRAVE IT. THERE'S NOBODY OUT THERE LIKE YOU, SO KEEP IT COMIN' BUT DON'T BURN YOURSELF OUT !! I'LL BE SEEING YOU IN A COUPLE WEEKS IN LA AND ANAHEIM (GOT AFTER SHOW PASSES FOR THAT ONE) SO WE'LL BE TALKIN'. WE'VE TALKED BEFORE, YOU SIGNED MY STRAT AND THE AT THE GREEK THEATRE IN LA I STOOD DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF YOU, 3 FEET AWAY. IT WAS LIKE YOU WERE PLAYIN' FOR ME, THEN I TURNED AROUND FOR A SECOND AND SAW ALL THESE PEOPLE BEHIND ME. IT WAS THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE. ANYWAY, I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO ALL OF YOUR STUFF LATELY, ESPECIALLY THE NEW ONE. IT SEEMS MAYBE ALITTLE MORE MATURE, I DON'T KNOW BUT "IT'S SWEET". I JUST THRU ON CRYSTAL PLANET, WHICH I HADN'T LISTENED TO SINCE THE NEW ONE CAME OUT, AND THAT CD IS HOT !! I FORGOT WHAT ABITCHIN' JOB YOU DID ON THAT. IT'S A LITTLE HARDER BUT YOU ARE COOKIN' DUDE. I HOPE YOU'LL DO MORE OF THAT CD ON THIS SOLO TOUR. I'M NOT SURE? DO YOUNEED STU FOR THOSE SONGS? IF NOT PLAY 'EM, IT'S UNBELIEVEABLE MIUSIC. YOU ARE TRUELY 'ONE OF A KIND' (LIKE JIMI WAS) FAR & FEW BETWEEN. I LIVE TO SEE YOU PLAY AND WAIT FOR THE NEWEST THINGS I CAN FIND. I WAS LISTENING TO TIME MACINE, AND FORGOT WHAT A BEAUTIFUL TUNE "ALL ALONE" IS. REMINDS ME OF SOMETHING 'CARLOS' MIGHT COME UP WITH. PUT THAT ONE IN THE SET JUST TO CHANGE THE MOOD BEFORE YOU GO INTO MIND STORM. YOUR VERSATILITY IS UNMATCHED. I LOOK FORWARD TO TALKIN' TO YOU, AND IF THERE'S AN AMP AROUND I WANT TO PLAY FOR YOU, OR JAM WITH YOU AT THAT AFTER SHOW THING. I'VE CHECKED AND YOU'VE A COUPLE DAYS OFF, SO DON'T RUN AWAY. I WROTE YOU A MESSAGE HERE A COUPLE MONTHS AGO TELLING YOU WHAT DREAM OF MINE IT WOULD BE TO SIT DOWN AND PLAY 'RED HOUSE ' OR 'MACHINE GUN'. WE HAVE A CHANCE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN IF YOU'VE GOT AN EXTRA TEN MINUTES TO SPEND WITH YOUR "#1 FAN". I'M SITTING IN THE 5TH ROW ON YOUR SIDE OF THE STAGE AND I'M GONNA WEAR MY BLACK JIMI HENDRIX HAT, SO YOU WILL SEE BEFORE THE AFTER SHOW. I STARTED PLAYING THE SAME TIME YOU DID, WHEN JIMI DIED. I'M YOUR AGE. I'VE PLAYED IN A LOT OF BANDS OVER THE YEARS, BUT IKE YOU , I JUST LIKE TO SIT WITH A DRUMMER AND CREATE "BEAUTIFUL MUSIC". HOPE WE GET A CHANCE TO HAVE A REAL MOMENT, BECAUSE WITHOUT JIMI, ONLY YOU COMPLETE ME , MUSICALLY. RIGHT NOW I'M LISTENING TO PROBABLY MY MY FAVORITE PIECE OF THE NEW ONE " THE TRAVELER". IT'S BEAUTIFUL. SEE IF YOU CAN FIT THAT ONE IN AND "HILL GROVE IS GORGEOUS TUNE TOO. I;VE CONTACTED JAY LENO TO THEM KNOW YOU'RE IN TOWN, YOU SHOULD ALSO. AND IF THEY ARE SMART ENOUGH TO PUT YUO ON I THINK HILL GROVE IS THE TUNE. I LOVE PLAYING GUITAR., MY GIFT. I CAN PLAY ANYTHING BY EAR, BUT FINANCES HAVE ALWAYS HAD WORKING ALL THE TIME AND I CAN'TGIVE IT THE (TO QUOTE YOU)"HARD PRACTICE, DEDICATION AND DISCIPLIN" IT TAKES. MAYBE IF YOU HEAR ME PLAY YOU MIGHT GIVE ME A SHOT. I KNOW THIS IS ALOT OF HEAVY STUFF TO LAY ON YOU AND YOU PROBABLY WON'T EVEN GET TO READ THIS. BUT I'M EXCITED ABOUT THIS AND JUST TAKIN' A SHOT THAT THIS MIGHT GET TO YOU. MY INITIALS ARE J.S., I WAS BORN IN 1956 AND JIMI WAS MY SOUL INSPIRATION. WE'VE GOT ALOT IN COMMON AND PLAYING ANYTHING JUST COMES REAL EASEY FOR ME. GOD GIFTED ME I'VE WASTED IT UNTIL THIS POINT. EVERYTIME SOMEHARS ME PLAY, THEY SAY "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOIN' DEALING POKER (THAT'S MY DAY JOB). SO THERE, I'VE GOT THIS OUT THERE I HOPE IT GETS TO YOU, REGARDLESS I'LL BE SEEING YOU NOV. 26TH AT THE GROVE IN ANAHEIM AFTER THE SHOW. MAYBE I'LL COPY THIS, JUST IN CASE YOU DON'T GET TO IT. I LOVE YOU BRO. YOU'RE DOIN' WHAT I WISH I WAS,SHOULD BE DOIN'. SOMETIMES YOU NEED A BREAK, AND SOMETIMES YOU GOTTA MAKE ONE. THEN SOME TIMES YOU'RE LIFE GETS WASTED 'CAUSE YOU NEVER DID. EITHER WAY, YOU KEEP PLAYIN' 'CAUSE YOU FEED MY SOUL !!! BEST OF LIFE TO YOU, YOU ARE A TRUELY GREAT INDIVIDUAL..............TONY SAMMONS (AKA ROXTARZ)

Hey fans:) Mine and Joes:) Wow, it's been a long time since I dropped in here and I must say, what a great looking site Joe. You have really improved it no end. It's not as good as my site www.addamfox.com, but it's getting there. Is Jon Luini still running the site? I have just not had the time to log in of late, what with the new boxset being released in time for Xmas, and having just returned from Jemfest (1999). Also, my work as official endorsee for Taco Bell and Ibanez 7 string guitars has kept me very busy. Only last week I was playing a demo set at a bar in Labrador and even though I say so myself, I was great. Afterwards, 3 of the five people in the bar came up to me for a chat, saying lots of nice things such as "You really should have a slot on G3", and things like that. I explained how you did invite me to play on the last G3 tour, but that I had to decline as I did not want to upstage you or Steve. By the way, he said hi when I last saw him. As for the boxset, it is now out in December. It has been tied up in legal red tape for the past year as it seems that K-Mart could not provide racks big enough to stock it and with internet pre-sales pushing up the original total from 28 to 207, I was eager that everyone should be able to buy it. Britney has released "I love Rock n Roll", which as you know is the Japanese bonus track, so I am expecting a surge of orders as we approach the festive season. Will post more later, but I have Bowie on the other line asking me for some ideas. Peace all. Addam

Hey guys! Thanks for the warm welcoming back :) As for what I have been up to -- quite a few things actually. I did meet up with a BMC rep about an endorsment opportunity and all, I like the guitars, yet I hate them. It's hard to play with a standard floyd rose trem after getting so attached to the ibanez edge trem system...who knows where that will go.
I have been preparing for a line of shows as well. Is anyone here in the New Jersey area? I have a couple of shows coming up and it'd be cool to have a few talk to joe ppl down there! Dec 14th is the next one -- it's a saturday evening show. It is a matinee show, but we're the headlining band, so it's ok!
JS CLONE 1 -- hehe I don't get it? Btw, I have a new AIM screen name man "mjk coe" pop me an IM when ya come on next time.
Peace...

Hi Joe!
I have been a long time fan of yours and was wondering... How is the best way to start learning guitar? My friends all say tabliture is easy and faster to read, but that doesn't really help in my knowledge of the instrament. My dream is to write music, after I finish college in the next year... This area isn't really known for all that great of guitar teachers. What should I do? I wish you were offering lessons... That would be great, but your a busy man. What gear could you recommend to me? Hear anything that was interesting lately? Thanks for yur time and all the great music you have made,
~Cory

Mey Matt, I woudln't go for an endorsement deal on a guitar that you weren't totally in love with - you might be stuck playing one for the duration of the contract and it could hurt you in the long run because you're playing might suffer...know what I mean bro?

Hi Joe, I am a big fan of your music and I just found out that you are coming to Minnesota to play on Dec. 5! I just saw you with Dream Theater in Milwaukee. You guys rocked! I know that I am taking a long shot here, but the show on the 5th is a 21+ show and many of my friends and I are so close to turning 21 so we cannot go to the show because of our age. I am going to try to do everything that I can to talk with the Medina Ballroom and see if they can make it an 18+ show instead. I know that they have done so in the past and I am going to write them and call them. I was wondering if you could put in a good word for your "under-age" fans who just want to see you play. If it does not work out, my friends and I will wait to meet you after the show. It would be an honor to shake your hand. We would try and make the Chicago show of course if we missed you here, but any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for making such awesome music. You are the best instrumental songwriter out there. Thanks again Joe!

Hi everybody, this message goes out to all 7 string guitar players. I recently got a 7 string guitar & have been searching for the right combination of strings. Currently I using 9 - 52, but find the 52 too floppy for the B. Any suggestions??
