Is there any way of buying the G3 2003 poster that was available at the concert?

I'm very interested in adding this to my rock display.

Boy it's difficult to catch up after the weekend of no computer.

Ovaition 1: thank you for your imput. I would buy him a JS1000 no second thought. I love the man!! Sorry to say he stood me up for his birthday. We were suppose to go to dinner at Forever Fondu, I made him a cake, bought him a couple of books "Great Guitarist" and Electric Guitar Enciclopedia and some new 501's, but he was no where around. :o( He does this..... Goes from calling Three times a night at all hours to nothing at all. 16 years of this @!%$#. I just hope he is ok.

SAMMY ANDREWS: Tell me about the book you mentioned earlier "Guitar Sectrets". Thanks

Time Machine gig eh? I would go back & see Tommy Cooper's last show, when he did the best disappearing act ever (I might get in trouble for that one). Music-wise, Van Halen around '84, KISS around '78, Zappa any time at all

962: Sweet, thanks for posting that. I actually think i read that interview somewhere along the way. I agree, Vai is in a position where he can say that and not come across as being completley full of himself. As far as i am concerned, Vai has earned the right to be cocky, but he isn't, which is cool. I think he has a true appreciation for his level of playing, and does not take for granted his accomplishments and status in the guitar/muisc world. He's happy to be making music for a living.

IceZer, maybe if you listened to different music for a while, you'll be inspired to play again.

IceZer - If you don't feel like playing guitar, then don't. You don't actually have to play guitar all the time. Keep listening to music, etc. and one day you'll want to pick it up again, and it won't be long. Never let your art turn into a chore.

mike: I've seen that kind of break repaired. Depending on the individual nature of the break, it can be repaired. You'll see an ugly seam, but it'll be strong as new. One of my band mates has an IBY with this type of repair job done. It fell off a 6' high hanger in the store. BIG CRASH!!!! It took about a week to repair, but it works well.

ovation Too bad about the guitar! Here's hoping it can be fixed...

Top singers, in no particular order or genre:

Elvis
Eva Cassidy
Maria Callas
David Byron (Uriah Heep)
Roger Waters
Bruce Dickinson
Bob Harris

... and who can forget all those fabulous soul/jazz singers: Sara Vaughn, Shirley Bassey, Aretha, Dina Washington, Billie Holiday...

I'd probably kill to see Frank Zappa live. Too bad it'll never happen (my massmurderer instincts showing again).

hey joe, hey guys

i've got some recent news on Eddie Van Halen. in this months issue of guitarist magazine he gave this interveiw;

eddie van halen has broken his long silence about his health and work. He Said : im cancer free and making a lot of music. ive got a hip replacement, ive got a titanium hip, and valerie and i are getting on better than ever now that we are divorced. ive got an amazing son.(wolfgang).

eddie refused to confirm exactly what hes been up to but he did say he has enough material for 10 records. and the rumours are rife in the us that the van-hagar line up of the group will reconvene this year.

to read the full interveiw you can probibly find it on the guitarist website.

Hmmm... I'd definitely want to go back in time to see:

-an early Led Zeppelin gig (1970ish or so)
-one of the shows that Deep Purple recorded for Made In Japan
-a Yardbirds show with both Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck on guitar
-a 1974 or 1975 Aerosmith show
-several Van Halen shows (from LA club gigs all the way up to their last tour...I've never seen them live)
-the Dave Matthews Band gig that took place on 10/22/91

Narface - If you like the pickups, keep 'em.

umgary - You might be able to find that poster on Ebay.
TASTEY - Jonny Lang is awesome...I need to see him again. I saw him open for Aerosmith in 1997 and 1999. He blew me away.

...Austin...

IceZer: Well, yoda summed up that answer to your dilemma pretty well. I know how it feels, sometimes I really don't feel like playing, and i feel like i'm slacking if i don't. I'll take a day or two off here and there. I think it's ok to do so lol...Listening and watching my favorite players is like a form of practice to me as well, so it all works out.

Do the Stu Has Joe ever played the bells of lal part 2? That bass with Stu is awesome. I wish it would be played more, it's totally unnderepresented. Also, when you were in SF, did you know they were filming for a dvd when you went in or only when Joe told the audience?

Ovation - Major bummer man! The cowbell's on the shelf, lets leave it up there, lol!! I really hope it's cheap to repair and does in fact get repaired, so it can become Japan's SupaaAx!! Good luck bro! I'll check the scales to see if there's any sysmic activity, just to know if the FURY has been unleased!! No Earthquakes for G3!

Oh Mike Stern's new cd as well as Larry Carlton's new cd both come out tomorrow, wonder how good they'll be...

Joe - What's the word bry?
