i went to a wake last night, i almost never go up to "look", but what it weird to me when people say, "he/she looked horrible", hello! they're dead! what did you expect? my dad said that last night, that the guy looked awful?!?!?!? just had to say that.

i think im getting sick, starting coughing like a tickle in my throat, i have a headache and i think i got some post nasal going on, and i'm wicked tired, i'm catering a party tomorrow night from like 3 to midnight at least, long day. but i only do it once a year, its worth it cuz we get like $200 for it, not too bad.

my cat is just not himself, i am worried about him, maybe the dosage is too high on the meds? it makes me sad.

does anyone hear like Heart?

jimmy: have a good holiday.....

another boring day at work! as you can tell.....

Sure is! It's in eastern PA, about 50 miles away from Philadelphia. It used to be a beautiful city when I was a kid, but scum has taken over. Now you need a bulletproof vest to venture out after dark.

Clarky: Hell yeah on New and Old England bro, lol!!.... It was interesting reading your post, because as an aircraft mech I can see a similarity in how circuits are affected by voltage, etc.... We had a problem recently with our pilots ADI (Attitude Directional Indicator) where the Nav Flag (on the indicator) was fluttering off and on in the normal mode, which in turn, screwed up the FMS (Flight Management System).... Swapping the indicator to the Copilot's side didnt help, and we searched the wire diagrams and found that there was a bad capacitor in the circuit card that was causing the flux on the nav flag.... R2'd the capacitor and bingo.... Problem gone, and we're talking minute voltages, lol, and in a solid state circuit, it either works, or it doesnt.... Anyway, those pedals are the same way, lol, and they take alot more abuse by the foot than a pilot's fingertip, lol....

Here come the edit's, lol, Satch family online ;-)

Zach - you seem to me to be the inventor type with your trem bolt and all [nudge nudge which I would still like you to let me know how much you would want for one]..

would it be possible to adapt / enhance the trem-bolt design such that, whilst remaining locked [at the locking nut] you can toggle at the flip of a lever between standard and drop-D tuning..

Stacy, when ppl. are dead they can either look good or bad. If they were very ill before their death, as my Grammy was, they look pretty bad in the end. She was beautiful at her viewing. I never understood what the hell ppl. were talking about when they said he/she looks good (how can they look good, they're dead!) until then. I've also been to a veiwing where the woman looked bad because of the funeral director, so now I "get it" and understand when ppl. say that.

Oh yeah, as for the cat - it will take him a while to get used to the meds. They slow down a lot, and he'll probably sleep more. If you get to concerned, call the vet and ask if his behavior is normal.

Mike Our very own 'Berkshire Hunt, heh heh. Sorry Clarky all in fun of course - lol

Tastey Yeah her voice was awesome. Maybe you are setting your sights too high with the singing lessons ? There have been a lot of singers that have only 'average' voices that still convey the emotion of a song. I guess you have to find your voice. I wouldn't quit it on a whim, it must be the same as playing an instrument ? Sometimes you feel good about it and its easy, sometimes you think its all bad and not going to get any better. The main question is 'Do you enjoy it ?' or maybe if you feel bad about it at the moment 'Have you enjoyed it ?' if the answer is yes then carry on, enjoying it is the most important thing ;-)

Dizzy, it's hard to recommend amp settings for midnight cuz I don't know what amp and guitar you're using, and I could only really make a recommendation if your setup is similar to mine.

On the Chorus front, yeah I've heard that the Boss is a good one. You may find that some chorus pedals, like Joe's super-chorus, sound better when you're using two amps, using the stereo outputs of the pedal. I have my chorus plugged into two amps and it sounds better than when into one, but I need a new pedal - mine makes background noise cuz it's kinda cheap and old. So yeah, if you're just using one amp, the Boss will proably give the best sound, unless you want to spend 1.5 grand on a rack-mounted chorus processor! (I think not!)

BeeZer, forgiven! thanks for being decent about it. So hey, custom switching, how is yours customised? I'm intrigued, cuz I found the RG switching kind of entertaining when I changed my pickups! Yeah tone is something I've always found very important, that's why I like Eric Johnson so much. When I put the PAF Pro and Fred in my RG it just didn't sound that exciting to me, but it's just a personal thing. I'm sure that if I put a coil-tap push-pull pot where my tone pot is, these pickups would sound quite different.

Anyway, did your pickups arrive? I hope everything is in order and you're happy with it. It was suggested to me that I wind the bridge pickup right up close to the strings, which I did, and it seems to pull out the harmonics a bit better. Have a play around and see what you think!

Sammy Andrews, about that run ~ you've pretty much got it there - start slowly and gradually, purposefully, increase speed. A major rule of thumb to bare in mind is that you should be relaxed. If you are accurate with the placement of your left-hand fingers, you won't need to grip hard, and if you're not gripping hard, the notes will flow better. If you have one of those grip-master hand strengtheners, it may actually be worth getting rid of it, cuz it's just an insentive to be lazy with your finger placement!
r6rocker, 'uphill gardener'! hahahaha, well done!
PhryDom, yeah, hehe, I'd read that little nuggett of info about EJ and his battery-brand recognition! Where was that written? was it on his website, or in a guitar magazine? anyhow, I know he's specific about what battery goes in his wah pedal!

r6rocker: not sure how i feel about it, when i had my recital i was scared shitless, i did ok, but i think i like the "stage" more than actually singing, maybe i should have tried acting instead, i like to entertain i guess. so i think im bored, and im not that confident that i will get better, i have no vibrato(spell?) in my voice, thats what im looking for, i dont know if you can learn that?

saying of the day: "uphill gardener", love it!!!

Paul, if we had more guys like Clarky in Reading, we'd just have drunk girls hung over the fence, not dead bodies everywhere from gangbangers playing shoot 'em up. lol! There'a also a Berkshire Mall, which is close to Berkshire Heights (where the rich live). lol! Now let's see the difference in pronunciation - we say red-ing and berk-sheer.

Mikey, I'm rollin' just thinking of the both of us sitting down with our daughters saying "now this is what's on a young mans mind.." and playing the video clip. HA! Good parenting tool indeed! ROTF!!! Ahhh, this stuff is killin' me!! lmao!!!!!! Geez man, my eyes are tearing up and I can't even see to type anymore. Holy shit that's funny!!

My singing voice is very bad, but it never stopped me from having fun. "I'M A LITTLE TEA POT"....as all the glasses in the kitchen break...

michelle: Maybe we can get together with you and your daughter and do this thing all at once, lol!! That way I wont feel awkward when my daughter look's at me like: "Whaaaa.. Dad, what are you doing showing me this video.... Are you getting old-timer's disease"!!.... ROTFLMAO!!.... I still got that guy's voice in my head!! bang, bang, bang!! lol, I'm havin' a great time!! ;-)

TASTEY: I try to sing in "synch" with the music that I listen too.... I've alway's had the ability to copy a voice once I hear it, and I've been trying my hardest to emulate Richie Kotzen' voice cause he's got some great soul.... I'm pretty good (in my wife's opinion, lol), and I can tilt a karaoke machine, lol!! ;-).... Just breath from your stomach, and let it out.... Sing in the car and F the F'ers (as michelle say's, lol) who look at you like you are crazy.... lol!! SING!! :-)

Clarky: We have a Reading in MA!!.... We call it Redding.... As is Red, lol....
