Ovation1 --- Thank you so much for your help! Please do keep me posted on that... :)
Prog X "Fly To New Planetary Systems" update --- Well, folks, I have been working on the drum track to this one diligently for the last three weeks, and I am FINALLY into the fast middle part of the song! PHEW! Was all set to finish up half of the entire drum track today, but had too much to frickin' do! This is the first time I've sat down to the computer all day, the home studio has been sitting in cobwebs. With ten minutes to go before I leave for work, I might as well not even bother to turn the thing on. Prog-ress is being made, but slowly. I hope to have this thing completely finished by the 1st of August, it's been draggin on too damned long! Prog X's Temple
Eagerly awaiting September 14, 2002. Kudos!

Wow, I really like the new look, Jon. Both the website as a whole and Talk to Joe specifically look awesome. It's really easy to navigate around the site and find what you're looking for, too. Kudos on a job well done, man.

aah, at last I found a way to d/load off iuma- i've been getting 403 erros with getright, but I can finally do it now. I can finally hear Pete's redone Shanghai Interlude!
And I've figured out how to use Magix Music Studio Deluxe generation 5 (Emagic clone but works fine). On the other hand I have to write an essaycomparing Bach's Brandenburg Concerto no 4 in G major movement I with Tippett's Concerto for double string orchestra... isn't life fun?
tube strike??? Oh dear oh dear. Well I'm skipping college for the day to go so there shouldn't be a problem with the walking.... hope it's not tooooo far from Victoria... wouldn't it be sweet if the webcast was from London? What a souvenir that'd be... although I guess all those in San Fransisco on Jeff's birthday already know.
Out of interest.. are there any people here who were at any of the shows that the Time Machine Live songs were recorded at?

Hi Joe,
I am Sammy, a budding 11 year old guitarist - check me out on www.sammyroberts.com/ I am half English and half Thai and live in Phuket Thailand. Among players I have jammed with are Michael Maung (He says you taught him many years ago). We are in England right now and my dad is bringing me to see you at Birmingham next Friday. I'll try and get a good spot up in the balcony as I am only a little guy! Any chance of meeting you after the show to autograph my CD? See you on Friday (don't forget to look up!).

Hi all...I figured I would repeat a paragraph in that Joe interview. It was especially inspiring for me to read...."Play what you want to play....you've got to know every note, every scale, you've got to be able to decipher the sound without having to look at it, and anyone who is trying to avoid putting in the kind of work that is required, is kidding themselves"...........is'nt that the truth....thats the story of my life...lol. That was an incredible amount of inspiration in one paragraph.....for me anyways :) later, Dave

HI Joe.
Coming to see the show in Clarkston Michigan the end of August. I don't know if you ever been asked this, but did you ever meet or get to play with Stevie Ray Vaughn? You two, by far are the best guitar players I've ever heard.
Stay safe and Healthy!! Love the new album too.

Joe,
Have you ever considered playing other types of guitars for different sounds? Like accustics, 12 strings, Les Pauls, Fenders, etc.? Just curious.

alien32 - Yeah, that was a good part of the interview. I liked the note where Joe says the first two people he calls for each G3 are Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. That would be the greatest concert ever.

Austin... it's pronounced "poo kett" and not whatever you were thinking.
I didn't have to resort to loud music this morning because my flatmate didn't come home last night. His girlfriend's 21st thingy tonight. My query is why have a thingy for your 21st when you had a big thingy for your 18th birthday? Dress is SEMI-FORMAL so this will be my get-up: dark green shirt, dark blue jacket, tie, black and blue board shorts and either casual shoes/socks OR thongs!!! HAHAHA!!! It'll be a hoot! Well it said semi formal! Half of me will be formal!
Gotta go. I'll check out what's going on with SBM around here. (Probably nothing yet, just like EOC.)
Later BEN

Hi all!!
have you guys checked out the new photos in the "road' section? I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the new BOSS pedals are in joe's setup which seems to have added stuff! All i could figure out was a BOSS octave pedal and a 2nd BOSS distortion pedal; does joe need that much distortion?? let me know if you guys have answers~
Austin (stu not boo) --- i believe it's pronounced poo-kait or something like that. I've been there before... it's a tourist spot!

Man, I wish I had an extra $2750 lying around to pick up that Chromeboy on Ebay....ahh, such is life. Austin - I'm gonna miss the reviews! Kept things interesting while waiting for Joe to post...(still waiting.) The pictures from Europe are nice to see though, and it seems that the fans are enjoying the shows immensely, which in the end is all that matters.
As an unrelated side note, I just went back through Surfing With the Alien earlier today, and rediscovered Ice 9. What a cool track! The feel of it is very fun and cool yet creepy at the same time, a very cool combination. I never really appreciated the song before, but I definately do now...good stuff.
