hey there..i just wanted to say a big hi to mr joe satriani and an even bigger THANX for getting me back into guitar solos again..i have been listening to all kinds of music for years now and in the last few years ive kinda ignored the whole guitar solo thing, for whatever reason that may be...but in the last year or so i started listening to your music for the first time ever and i was just blown away..i heard surfing with the alien on the g3 video and that was when i first got hooked...and since then ive been buying and listening to all the albums youve put out non-stop...i never really considered listening to this kind of music before but now i do and its opened my mind even more to not just the stuff that you do but the stuff that a lot of other guitar solo-ists do and even other forms of music..me gettin into your music was probably inevitable anyway since im a longtime kirk hammett fan...and after purchasing the live in SF dvd, seeing you perform was even more mindblowing and i hope to catch you on tour some day..so i just wanna say thank you, and keep up the kick ass work you do..show the kids out there today who dont even use guitar solos in their music, what its all about..cya!

Well, I got my tattoo. It hurt. Quite a lot actually. But it's worth it coz it looks really good - a little celtic design going round my arm. Nice. Expensive though...
Clarky - Nah, I can't be arsed to wait for Avarice. Just make it as soon as you can, dude. And then when Avarice is under your fingers I'd love to jam again!!!! Is it still cool for you to come down to Guildford to pick me up, coz I have a serious lack offunds at the moment, and I probably will hve for a very long time....
My course is getting really hard now - loads of work, but I'm learning a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ooh and I forgot to say, this teacher guy sung Summer Song for us, and it was really cool. He has an excellent voice, even at 60. (Although it had all that airplay, he said this was the biggest audience he had sung it to, about 600.)

hey joe, something has been worrying me. I gave you a cd on 8/16/02 at the nextstage show. I have a song that is called summer snow, which while it looks similar to summer song (in the title) it is nothing like yours and i actually named it after something totally unrelated. its a eric johnson type of vibe. well, anyway, I am afraid i may have titled it "summer song" on the cd i gave you but im not sure. I just wanted you to know in case you may have thought that i was trying to cover one of your songs, (which would be futile to attempt) and may cause you not to listen to the cd. its name is "summer snow" , maybe i put the right title, i dont know but i had to let you know.

Chromatic actually means colourful (chroma=colour) and it's because the chromatic notes give colour to the scale.
The names of the modes are Greek too. They are names of greek tribes that lived in ancient Greece so each tribe had it's own mode in architecture and art. But I think it's classical music that gave these names to musical modes.

CRISPIN That web address doesn't work man.
STRESS OF THE DAY Buying a fucking house. Jeez, the ****s that we are buying off would be dead if it was a face to face sale >:-/ Apart from all the crap we've had already (we make offer £2k under, they refuse we say £1k under and take it off the market, Fucking estate agent says okay............. 2 days later we get told it's back on the market!) i get this crap today............................ when we made the second offer we said okay but we want the pine wardrobe thats left (the owners have already moved out) and the agent says yeah it's basically sold as it is. Now as we couldn't get in the garage as there is no key i'm thinking hmmm, hope thats not full of crap so i go back and check and it's okay. Today we get the fixtures and fittings list and it turns out that they are taking (or so they think!) several bits that i'm not too bothered about (garden chest, vice and work bench) and chandelier from living room, spotlights from kitchen and all the curtains - which were specified in our offer - yeah right, reckon, over my dead fucking body! Upshot i ring the solicitor tomorrow, tell him some twat's having a laugh but not at my expense, stuff stays or the sales off. Screw the twats! Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry about that guys but sometimes you just have to get these things off your chest, especially when you can't throttle the arseholes who are pissing you off............................................. and breathe, got a quote for me Bill ? lol
CHRISCEC - Time is a measure of chronology, that do you........................ BANG!!!!!!!!.........'oh bollocks'
